My daughter needed a new backpack and it fit the bill! Plenty of room with 2 big compartments (she is able to put her notebook, laptop and books in one and her lunch bag in another), lots of pockets and 2 side pockets for water bottles. She has a lot of stuff for school but it is designed in such a way that it is not overly bulky.

My daughter picked this backpack, so much better colors then when I was in school. She is amazing how big this backpack is. My goal is for this backpack to last till she finishes high school.

Excellent quality, lots of separate handy compartments and big enough to hold a trapper keeper and chrome book!

Great quality and perfect for my middle schooler. We've always used LL Bean backpacks and they hold up for years.

The very first thing on my kids school list when they start kindergarten, is their choice of LLBean's deluxe bookpack. I have 4 kids and the quality of these backpacks are SO GOOD that my SENIOR in high still uses his blue one that we purchased when he started kindergarten!! My sophomore and 7th grader still use theirs from kindergarten as well and my now 1st grader is using his for the second year. Besides maybe getting a little dirty, we've never had any broken zippers or straps or any holes. What's awesome too is that I can just throw these completely in my washing machine and then hang to dry. They come out looking brand new. I recommend these to anyone and everyone. They are a great investment!!

I remember having a book bag from LLBean when I was a kid with my name on it, so it's a feeling of nostalgia to be able to get the same type of bag for my son. This bag has ample amount of compartments which helps in balancing out the weight of school books/supplies. GREAT quality. Will be purchasing one for my daughter in the near future!!

This backpack is incredible. I had one similar when I was younger and it is still around but wanted a second one that would accommodate all of my needs as I carry many heavy books and supplies. I placed my order with customization and had it less than 2 days even though I had traditional ordering and shipping. When I have kids, this will be my go to company!

We purchased two pack packs at a LLBean store(not an outlet) and the price was different from the catalog. Very confusing

What a beautiful bag! So much room to grow into. Tons of space and padded pocket for Chromebook with enough room for her winter gear for school Bought it for my 5th grader with intention to use right thru middle/ high school. Would make a great carryon bag too. Only downside had nothing to do with the quality or features of bag- store tag on bag said $49.95, paid online 54.95. Shouldn't have both
