Love how roomy this back pack is! It's working great for my needs. I was looking for a quality adult backpack that had two separate roomy compartments to separate my lunch from my papers and computer. This is perfect!! There are two water bottle holders as well and extra compartments. It has comfortable straps. I'm very happy with it.

Our boys (7 yo twins) preciously has L.L. Bean backpacks and flip-top lunch boxes, and they were holding up great after two years of use, with the exception of one jammed zipper on one of the bags. Also, one of them lost his lunch box on the bus at the end of the year. So when they said they wanted new bags for this school year, we agreed, and I ordered new, more interesting backpacks and lunch bags from a competitor (initials L.E.) over the summer. I ordered from there, as opposed to L.L. Bean, only because they offered colored embroidery of different items (one chose planet Earth, the other Saturn) on the backpacks. When they arrived, they felt like a much more lightweight material, and I thought, "Well, these will probably only last a year," but the kids were happy with the embroidery and colors, so we kept them. The lunchboxes were very small compared to what I was used to, but I figured we'd manage. The night before school, I got their L.E. backpacks off the shelf in my closet where they'd been stashed, and put their empty 1" binders and six empty folders in eachwe'd brought the rest of their supplies to Open House a few days priorand hung them on the doorknobs of our front hall closet, as that's where backpacks go in our house during the school year. The next day, we got to school and parked, and when it was time to go in, we lined up with everyone else. I looked down, and noticed that the handle at the top of one of the boys' bags was *literally* hanging on by a thread. It had almost completely detached. And I knew, from Open House, that their backpacks are hung during the day from hooks outside their classroom. In other words, a functional top handle is critical. Also, having it rip off when it was holding a backpack with *maybe* a pound of stuff in it was ridiculous. After drop off, I fired off an email and made arrangements to return the L.E. bags and lunchboxes. The next day I sent them with their old L.L. Bean backpacks, one L.L. Bean flip-top lunchbox, and a brown paper bag for the one who lost his lunchbox last year. And I ordered new bags and lunchboxes from L.L. Bean. The difference in quality is astounding. They will, undoubtedly, have these bags (assuming nobody loses anything) for years to come. And we will continue to use their old ones for emergencies (like if a drink spills in their school bag) and camping and travel.

Well what else do you expect from an LL Bean backpack? Great quality loads of room/storage for all your school stuff . Definitely recommend

Ordered for my 4th grade grandson. He picked the size, color and name to go it. He LOVED it. Perfect upgrade for him from the previous smaller size!

This backpack is the best. They withstand a lot of rough treatment through the school year. I have washed it in the washing machine, hung it up to dry and it looks brand new. I would highly recommend this product over any backpack on the market.

My wife and I only purchase back packs from LLBean. As a kid, I had an LLBean pack and now three of my kids carry them to school. My oldest daughter used one original back pack from 1st through 6th grade and upgraded to this deluxe model because she needed more space (but the original pack was still in great condition and going strong). We love these back packs!

Bought this for European travel, and it's perfect! It holds packing cubes (with several LLBean travel shirts rolled tightly) and toiletries for my two-week trip, and it's still lightweight for me to carry on my 5'1" frame. It fits under the seat on the airplane and is easy to hold in my lap if needed on the train. I'm in the middle of this trip, and it's so easy to get around without dragging luggage. I have everything I need in this pack, and I'm wondering why I didn't get this years ago!

My grandson had an LL Bean backpack since preschool. It was still in good shape, but he wanted a new one to start Middle School. It is well made and should take him through HS.

I have purchased these back packs for many years. I purchased these when my children were small and now they're grown and now I'm purchasing these for my grandchildren. The reason I continue purchasing from LL Bean and don't even consider anyone else is the customer service is fantastic and LL Beans guarantees everything so I can purchase knowing their items last forever and they stand behind everything they sell.

Love this back pack. My daughter carried the same LLBean Back Pack all through her high school years and it held up great. I wanted one for myselt as I would like to start hiking. This back pack will give me years of happiness.

There is no comparison on the market to an LL Bean backpack. I got this one for my youngest daughter for school. It arrived earlier than projected. It is attractive and unbreakable. She wanted a monogram and it looked great too. Awesome selection of colors. Perfect product. We have seven or eight in our house. Best packs ever. I refuse to buy anything other than LL Bean. I got my first LL Bean Book Pack in 1988, and I still carry it constantly. It made it through high school, college, grad school and twenty years of travels and teaching. I wouldn't trade it for the world. Great product.

We have bought several L.L. Bean backpacks over the school years.. not because they have worn out in any way. Only because my daughters styles have changed and they wanted something different. The colors are vibrant, the zippers and straps sturdy and always functional. L.L. Bean back pack stand the test of time.. My husband still has an occasionally uses his backpack from high school and that was well over 20 years ago.

First backpack I've ever owned and I'm a senior citizen! It was easy to fill, easy to carry and easy to stow.

The wide straps make it comfortable to wear and the quality means that it won't tear up after one month of school!

Love my new Delux backpack, It is my 2nd one. It goes with me everyday to work. Plenty of organized space for both work & sport/ running gear. Shoulder straps are breaking in to fit me butits new, in a few more uses that shouldnt be a concern. My first one purchased 20yrs ago is worn out for everday use but still has a place in my trunk for roadside emergency: tools, first aide kit, maps, duct tape,

All three of my kids have this backpack. I love it! Very well made, the perfect size to fit their books/lunches/etc., and we love the way they look! :)

One month in this backpack is ideal. My laptop + bubblewrap for padding fits easily. Well-thought out compartments for toiletries, keys, and a zippered, soft pocket for phone. Best of all is the way it sits comfortably on my shoulders and back. No more briefcase + computer bag. With this laptop even on the days I go to the office I have the convenience of everything fitting easily in 1 bag . . . plus I have the memory of being back on the trail, hiking up to a high mountain hut. : )
