I've been wanting an llbean backpack for the longest because they're literally so sturdy. I got the vintage lavender it is a little more purple than the picture but I think it's still super cute, my embroidery is so good it is a little small but I think it's cuter that way!!

This is a very nice, well made backpack, made to last. We purchased the red with the powder gray accenting around the edges. The monogramming of my sons first name is perfectly matched as the thread and accent colors are the same. It looks amazing and my son LOVES it!

Great backpack. Extremely good quality. As a child I got this same backpack going into the second grade. 20 years later I still use it and it is in perfect condition. I had to buy one for my son. I would highly recommend

Finally replaced the LL Bean backpack my daughter has had for 5 years. Love that the newer one has side pockets for her water bottle.

This backpack holds a lot of things, but the pack itself is very light to carry. I also appreciate that it has rain flaps to cover the zippers. Not many book packs have that feature.

This back pack was just what I needed for my trip. Lots of room and compartments and it easily fit under the airplane seat. Plus the side webbing was large enough for bigger water bottles. I would definitely recommend this product for travel.

If you don't want to have to replace backpacks each year, buy this one! It will last thru middle school, high school and past college. Customer service at L L Bean is outstanding so if, in the unlikely event, there is a problem, L. L. Bean will take care of it seemlessly. What a great product, what a great company.

I got this backpack to replace my old ll bean backpack that I had since 2006 when the straps gave out from heavy use so if you want an everyday backpack that will last a decade or more this is the bag for you

When my house was robbed, the thief used my previous Deluxe Book Pack to take away some of my property. This new one is just as sturdy and well organized as the original, which I had used for several years.

Waterproof, very sturdy

Bought this to replace son's old LLBean backpack that finally wore through at the bottom. The old backpack was purchased in elementary school and he's now a high school junior. The new backpack looks identical to the old one but has a few improvements like laptop and phone pockets inside. I expect this new backpack will hold up just as well as the old one and am very satisfied with the purchase.

I grew up with a bag like this and now my kids all have one too. Two have the rolling bag version and I just got two of these for the other two. I think these are less bulky than the rolling ones, and they have a lot of space. Everything my second grader was carrying in his other backpack and latched on to the outside because there wasn't enough room, disappears into this one. They both took to the bags immediately and say they're comfortable to wear. I asked the second grader if he wanted to take some stuff out since the bag is pretty heavy and he said no. It's still too early to say how durable it is, since they've only had these bags for about 2 weeks but I'm optimistic given my long history with LL Bean backpacks.

I use my back back for hiking and for club activities. This is actually my second one I purchased. Love all the different compartments and water bottle holder on the side of the bag.

In past all 4 of my children had these backpacks through their junior and senior high school years. Don't remember how long we had them before replaced one because of zipper. My boys graduated in 1994, 1996 & 1997. My daughter in 1998. Very durable and never remember having any problem when one was replaced. My granddaughter was excited that she got a backpack like her mom had and looks just as well made as they were years ago!!

Any bookbag/back pack from LL Bean is the best quality. This is the second one I've purchased for my husband. The first one is still as good as new, but he wanted another one to use for other purposes. Strong, durable, and reliable!

I got this during a promotion and I'm sure I will be very happy with it. I haven't had an opportunity to use it yet but it seems to have everything I would need. Very happy with it at this point.

L.L. Bean makes the best backpack on the market, hands down! I have owned my backpack for over 15+ years, and it is still in excellent condition! So naturally, I purchased both of my kids these backpacks for school. The quality is still amazing, and my kids love them just as much as I do! I don't see is having to purchase backpacks for a very long time!!

My son has pleaded for the cheap character backpacks every year, and every year they rip. After his latest superhero backpack ripped two months into the school year we replaced it with the orange deluxe backpack. He's 8 and likes to bring extra books to school. He loves all the room in this backpack and I appreciate that his water bottle doesn't fall out. My daughter had the deluxe backpack for several years until she outgrew they nickname she had monogrammed on the outside.

This is the second backpack that I have bought for my twin boys who are high school sophomores. For one son, the first one lasted from 6th grade to just now in 10th until one of the straps began fraying. I purchased a new one for him and it is an updated, improved version with more pockets and water bottle mesh sides. The other twin is still using the original bag. I also purchased a matching lunchbox which one son still has and other other lost his in middle school! The lunchboxes are nice too. My sons really likes these backpacks. They are constructed well, sturdy and hold all their essentials. The first ones I have washed many times and let them drip dry and they were fine. I highly recommend this for your students.

My son was so excited to have a 'big kid' backpack just like his older siblings. Same quality with a few new perks.
