I bought these originally in size 11N. As someone who normally wears a size 10.5 in regular shoes and a size 11 in tennis shoes, the length of the shoe was perfect. However, even in the narrow size, I found that the heels slipped when I walked. I tried thicker socks but still had the same problem. I bought a size 10.5N pair to see if the heel might fit better. It did, but the length was short enough that it ended up being uncomfortable wearing the half size down. For a narrow width shoe, I didn’t expect to have a problem with the heel slipping in either size. I’m returning both pairs with the hopes that maybe the next version of the Fresh Foam X 1080s will have a slimmer fitting heel.

They felt tight around my toes my toes where tingling and I felt I needed a little more arch support. I haven’t received my refund yet.

Loved the color, vibrant. Unfortunately when I went for my walk, I had to turn around because my shins were yelling at me. Great cushion in the center of the shoe, nice foot roll. Was really disappointed they didn’t work out.

I am really frustrated by this shoe. I've worn them before and loved them. Tried to buy the last version but couldn't find them in my AA width anywhere. Snagged a pair of these and was so delighted that they fit the same I ordered another pair. Was working out inside with them on to make sure there were no bad seams or other problems. As I'm doing deadlifts I look at my feet and see the shoes look like two different lengths! I take them off, line them up against the wall and it is true. When I went to return I noticed there were now additional colors available in AA. Ordered them to try. They do not fit like the first pair, wider in the toe box, but not as bad as the pair I returned. I'll take them for a spin on the treadmill and see if the might work. Sigh . . .

I was expecting better support from New Balance shoes. I felt like I was wearing Skechers, at twice the price. Will be returning/exchanging them.

I loved the look and they were nicely cushioned but too short. The drop from heel to toe is also too much for me. I have metatarsal issues so the ball of one foot has damage. This shoe caused me to land right on it. Back to Hoka for me. Sent these back

The sizing is the same as the previous version, the problem is that the sides of the shoes are much lower in v12 resulting in less lateral support/stability. The v12's are going back, I will order another pair of the v11"s, and hope that the v13's will be an improvement over this year's model.

I have worn these shoes for years. Was so excited about the 12’s but the fit is way off. These shoes hurt my feet. I wear an insert for arch support and never had a problem in the 11’s. This shoe is very tight below the laces even with them loosened. I would send them back if I could.

The 1080’s are my go to but v12 has more foam which ended up feeling less supportive for me. The knit upper mesh was amazing though.

Love the fit and comfort, but these are purple. Pics made them look white. Return was easy, though had to drive to Whole Foods to ship them back.

These fit fine and I might have kept them except for the big pieces of elastic sewn across the instep. I'm not sure why they are there but that is a place my feet are sensitive and also sometimes swell (and then I get nerve compression). So no.

They fit, but the soles are so wide, they look like duck feet. For someone who already as large feet as a woman, I do not want this part of me accentuated.

Disappointed that the sizing is larger than the last pair of NB I bought.

I am really disappointed in these shoes. They are so different from my old 1080s...much smaller, though I ordered the same size, and smaller than the size charts on both the Zappos site or the New Balance site said they would be. Also, the toe box and overall shoe is much narrower, so I am not sure it would work even if the length was OK.

My wife has gotten a nasty blister on the left side of her left foot just by the ankle bone. She's had other NB sneakers that have excelled so we're optimistic that once the blister resolves she'll be okay.

About 2 years ago the structure changed on these shoes. When they first came out they were comfortable, provided excellent support and fit well. Now even when I size down they are too wide and sloppy. I normally purchase my shoes in a wider width but even when I buy the regular width they are too wide.

I ordered my normal size online and had to return due to fitting way too big. It's been a week since returning and still haven't gotten a refund

This shoe is fine (a bit too big for me in the heels), but for the cost it is a MAJOR downgrade from the previous model. v11 was amazing - felt like a cloud, fun to run on (I bought multiple pairs of 1080 for the last few years - retiring pairs after about 6 months). My major issue is the new heel design - v12 is way too stiff, and it feels clunky. I miss the snug, flexible heel of v11

I had an old worn out W1080 probably version 10 that I loved. Size 9 2A. I reordered the latest model Version 12 and it's nothing compared to the old shoe. It's too long, too wide and the heel is not narrow enough like the old shoe. The Elastic that fit so well around the middle section of my foot is a shadow of the old one which fit like a glove . I would have returned the new shoes except I trimmed the insole so my custom orthotics fit properly.

I don't know, I just wish I had bought serval pairs of the shoe I loved.

Very disappointed. I've gotten these shoes consecutive times. This pair was already coming apart on the sole on my second wear. The ankle part is so stiff on the right side that after 6 weeks of breaking them in I still am getting a blister. This pair is not even remotely made as well as the previous pairs. Maybe got a defective pair.

I have had two 1080 v.10 in the past, and they needed an upgrade after 2 yrs. I read the reviews and ordered a half size smaller and a size wider, and that combination seemed to work perfectly for me. I do have a wide foot but not a double wide, yet that is what I ordered. I don't think the regular wide would have been comfortable. When I first put them on, they felt pretty good. Started out on my 2 mile walk and had to stop half way, my feet were killing me! Either minimal arch support or it was in the wrong spot, but even worse, the heel strike was SO HARD it was killing my plantar fasciitis. I Had read a few other reviews that mentioned the hard heel and they were 100% accurate! I tried wearing them to work the next day and even in a work environment (vs. working out) they were very hard. My heels hurt, my legs were fatigued and my calves were tight. Found an old pair of Hokas and have been using them for the last day and my issues have gone away. I am so disappointed but these will be going back. The v.10's were perfect!

I love the fabric and color v12. I have 4 pairs of 1080v10. I much prefer version 10 for the, foam, arch, heel slip in hold and tongue attached to liner. The v12 is too generous in the heel, the toe box is very spacious. I wear 8.5 wide. It's a lot of room. If I hadn't given them such a good wear test I would have returned them.

They're very long and narrow, too tight across my foot at my arch. They're also longer than my 860s in the same size. 2 stars.
