I should have taken the reviews for this item more seriously. The belt is of excellent quality, it looks great when it's finally on, but the struggle required to put it on and/or remove is difficult to get past. The end of the belt is simply too thick to easily fit through the metal clasp. This design oversight will certainly irritate me enough to stop wearing it at one point. I'm disappointed. Typically I love all Arcteryx products.

I just got the black revised version. I have the previous version I bought last summer in enigma. Both were medium as I have a 36" waist or large pants. New version is 3" longer than the previous and that is why you only get 4 stars a small would be better now. I've seen a trend in the last couple years with Arcteryx that is disconcerting. When most of your sales are online don't screw with the sizing. In fact that would be 80% of complaints with all your revised versions. Quality of the belt is identical, needs some working in.

The issue with this belt is how you have to set its tightness. It doesn't have a prong to insert into belt holes; in order to have the tension stay set you have to over tighten the belt slightly and then elevate the buckle 45 degrees and have the down side hold the belt in place. Then, with the buckle still at a 45 degree angle you can draw the belt through the buckle. The tension relaxes slightly to a proper tightness. This takes a few times to get the hang of it but once you do the belt does a decent job of staying in place. And because the buckle is small, it doesn't dig in to your stomach when bending over. So if you don't mind a small learning curve it works well. It's not as hard as the reading of this might sound. And once you are proficient it actually provides more fit choices than a belt with holes.

I ordered this belt because there are many reviews online saying that it's a well-designed and well-built belt and they are correct. Unfortunately, the material of the belt is far too rigid, the openings of the buckle not large enough and the end of the belt too thick. The result is a very unpractical belt that is difficult to set and use. You must battle every time to pass the belt through the buckle. My idea of a pants belt is that it should be easy to open and close. If this is your idea also, this belt is not for you.

A belt that is comfortable and subtle enough for everyday use in a professional setting. Strong and durable enough to still look professional after years of outdoor use in the rain, snow, and sun. Highly recommend. Doesn't slip, and holds exactly where you place the buckle all day.

My favorite go to belt for work, dress and play. I believe mine is a dark blue with black buckle and tab. I had it for awhile so thinking of getting another. so glad to see other color (colour) version out there.

Please Please Please redesign! I think it is overall a great quality belt, and with a few small changes, I would buy it again. Pros: It stands up to wear and tear well. I see some other people dislike its firmness, but I am a fan! Non of the stitching has frayed or come loose at all after a year of wear. Cons: The buckle of course. Other people are mainly noting its size, but I think the biggest issue is the direction! Please flip the buckle 180 degrees to make the use more intuitive. If the buckle faced the other way (wider side with the logo facing towards the length of the belt instead of toward the loose end), then you could lift it to loosen. Imagine how you tighten and loosen an airplane seat belt, tilting the metal upward. On this belt, when you pull the side that looks like a pull-tab, you just spin your belt around. If it were the other way, you would have a nice handle to use to put on and take off the belt. I have tested this by flipping the buckle inside out. Though this made the buckle easier to use, it resulted in the tags being on the outside and the plastic tail end curving the wrong direction. So, ultimately, I turned it back around and suffered with the annoying buckle. This would be such an easy redesign!

Bought a small after seeing reviews that you should buy a size down (I'm a 34W for pant size) but only had the plastic tab as excess and wasn't sure that was going to be a long term solution. Exchanged for a medium and that was WAYYYYY more excess than I would prefer. I measured each from buckle to tail and small was about 41" while a medium was around 49" (photo included). Label that came with the belt reads 43" and 45.5" respectively. Seems like great quality belt but just a heads up on sizes. I've been wearing a similar belt from another company for 5 years and this seems like much higher quality construction.

I have 2 of these. One is the wider and the other the narrow version. I like the wider one but the narrower one is very difficult to get the tip of the tag end through the buckle. It requires a lot of force. Is there anything I can do like filing the edges of the tip? Have other people encountered this?

Have had this belt for over two years now. Super strong but the problem is the buckle- it sticks out way too much. It looks silly with a tshirt over it or anything not extremely loose. It's a huge buldge just above your cortch

I've owned this belt for about 5 or 6 years and have worn it nearly every day. It has no signs of wear and it has never came loose once under any conditions. Would recommend this belt to Batman.

This belt is just as advertised. It's durable, it's functional, and it looks good. Some reviewers are complaining that it's too hard to put on and remain tight, but I have no idea what they're talking about. If you are used to a harness or any other outdoor buckle, this belt behaves very similarly. It's all good.

I gave 5 stars because I have three older ones that have served me well. I came back to buy another, but the poor reviews on the "improved" version will have me trying a competing brand instead. Who designs a belt that makes it both hard to put on and remove as well as tighten to hold your pants up?

Sizing is a bit funny Sm is super small, Lg is super large and medium is on the smaller side... 33 W Md fits perfect on the small side. But really sturdy, tough belt. My Second one.

I have three of them. Great quality. Last very long. Most weeks I'll wear this belt 4 times or more. Very clean look and goes with everything. They constantly put out new colors. Incredible product. Great price point too. I want more.

Favourite belt I own, I use it for everything every single day, suits all my outfits casual or up a mountain, could probably even get away using it with a suit, however, that's the one time I personally won't. Lasted multiple years with zero wear and super comfy. Buckle is a little hard to do up the first few times but soon gets easier without getting too easy that it doesn't hold, never loosens throughout the day.

I love this belt, had it for a few months now and is definitely my go-to. I find a common problem with other conveyor belts I own is that they tend to slip a bit, and I haven't noticed this at all. The material the belt is made from is durable and very gentle on my skin if it accidentally rubs on my waist. With other belts I own, the material has been cut/burned in such a way that sharp corners of the fabric at either end of the belt cut into me over time and cause a lot of discomfort.

One of my favorite products from the brand, it's really clean profile and streamlined giving a tactical look. I prefer this belt as it goes with everything that I wear! I have the black version of this belt and have used it for 2 years with no signs of wear. Whatever it's made from is super strong and durable, feels like ballistic nylon. I love the way it cinches down and stays tight all day. Hands down probably my favorite belt I ever owned.

I have three of these, bought my first one over a decade ago and it's still on my jeans right now. I see some folk have put up less than positive reviews, but I cannot fault this belt. Goes to work, goes cragging, goes alpine, goes to the cinema. comfy, durable, and super functional. I once accidentally bought a large in a diff colour (I am a 32 waist), so I cut it (with a hot-knife) rather than return - I actually like the plain end just as much as the proper tab.

Everyday I leave the house with my eyeglasses and watch, the very same ones, day after day. My wallet and phone are almost certainly in pocket. My Conveyor Belt has become just as trustworthy and second nature to have along . I'm in my fifties. I've been searching for such a great fund in a belt. I've found it. I just ordered two more. They'll likely outlive me as best I can guess, many years I hope.
