To start, the shoes are great. The military discount provided has a long list of items it does not provide a discount for. This includes the most purchased models.

The new heel and extra stack height make this shoe heavy and clunky. You don't get the same pop as you did from the v10. At least no weird heel cup?

Received shoes coming apart where glued near laces at front of shoe. These are an expensive item so I was surprised at the lack of care in presentation and also the lack of concern from your customer service team.

I ran over 350 mile on the the v11s and was hoping for the same with the v12. The shoe feels flat and lacks the absorption I was expecting. The v12 seems to fit a bit large than the v11 did and after long runs the outside of the bottom middle of my foot is so sore that I limp. I tried to remedy this by inserting my own insoles and the pain moved to my heal. The lack of comfort is not consistent with other NB freshfoam shoe I have run in.

Undoubtedly these are popular shoes, and receive almost universally positive reviews. For me though, I have the same problems with these shoes as the previous pair, lace pressure. They are uncomfortable on the top of foot regardless of the lacing system I use. Perhaps a little more padding top of shoe would alleviate this.

I use to leave these shoes and would get a couple at a time to swap out but the last three have been defective. Not sure if it is due to the wide format but on the toe of the shoe it has a crease that digs into one toe, three shoes ago was so bad that I threw away the shoe without wearing it a couple of times. The most recent pair has a leak in the foam which makes a loud running sound when walking.

I purchased these shoes for my new job. Because. I was gonna be on my feet for 10 plus hours. But with a week and a 1/2 on my feet. The heal on the left shoe. Began to make Popping noises. And now when I walk. It makes my feet hurt. I might just go to another competitor for now. I hope new balance can fix this issue

Bought a pair 3 years ago. Got chin ssaints. Same thing. The heal is dropped low, forcing all tension to the front.

The "fresh foam" is way firmer than on previous versions. Ended up returning them.

I've had 1080s in the past and liked them, but something seems off with this shoe. I typically buy 2E foot, but the big toe on my right foot couldn't get comfortable. It kept hitting the side of the shoe. And with the lack of substance on the upper, it felt like it would poke out the side at some point. Also, both shoes felt more narrow than normal through the middle. I then ordered the 4E, and still had the same problem with my toe, though it solve the narrowness issue. The shoes also run long as many have indicated. I'll hope the Fresh Foam More V3 is an option when wide versions come back in stock.

Out of the box, these shoes were 10 out of 10 in terms of fit and comfort. However, after a few trails runs, the heel cup splits in half deeming the shoes almost useless for hiking or uphill training. I have now purchased 2 pairs of these shoes and watched both fall apart in less than 2 months or so. The heel cup is a made of a thin/flexible material that would be a lot better if replaced by the elastic heel support found on other shoes like the Freeze cleat. Because the heel cups are split, I generally unlace these shoes and use them for coaching and walking around town. And honestly, the shoes look cool enough and the sole is comfortable enough for this purchase to retain some of its value. Overall, I really like the potential of this shoe, but would love to see NB do something about the durability and possibly the tread (could be better for trail running). Might try a switch to Hoka this summer too.

Gait was unbalanced and destabilized. Knees hurt after one day wearing. Soles were much too thick, and proportionately way out of balance. A crime for New Balance to be Out of Balance. Forget about this model, go back to more traditional running shoes. Shoes returned to company.
