I have plantar fasciitis and I have used 1080 V10. They were the best and comfortable shoes by far. I was very satisfied and I want to try out the 1080 V12 and they are not as comfortable as V10. I can't stand in these for 8 hours.

I'm an older guy, 200 lbs, fitness runner about 25 miles per week of running, interval training and some walking mixed in.
This shoe is larger than the V11, if you need a precise fit I recommend a half size smaller. Multiple reviews on the web have also mentioned this. I ordered two sizes to try on and will return the bigger one. The v10 was too narrow, my little toes punched holes in the upper mesh. Runners complained and NB dialed it in perfectly with the v11. But they decided to tamper with it again in the new v12.
Pros:
If you like cushioning v12 has once again competed in the contest to see how much foam they can cram into a shoe. It's soft and plush.
They fixed the weird heel counter in the v10 and v11. Fits better and the "dracula" tab that stuck up in the back and only served as a gravel trap is gone.
I like the new tongue design in this shoe a lot. The previous version didn't stick up enough.
Zero break in needed. I've done my second run in it, pushed it pretty hard and I feel great.
Good, solid daily trainer for bigger guys not looking to looking to race.
Cons:
The 1080 really departed from the original design when the "Fresh Foam" moniker came out. Other than being a neutral show this has no resemblance to the 1080 of old. I've been in every version since the original. It's just a cushioned soft shoe, nothing technically special.
It's a bit too cushioned..not a lot of feedback and I wouldn't recommend this for technical trails or rough surfaces. Seems like a lot of shoe between my foot bottom and the ground. The Vongo was a better shoe for feel, but I really need the extra cushioning of the 1080.
I'd also recommend:
New Balance Vongo or 880v12

I was nearly crippled and could barely run. Now I can jog much more quickly and gracefully. Thank you!

The heel counter is an improvement from the v11s, but I feel as if there's more to be desired here. The shoe runs hot and doesn't have the same pep that they had in previous versions.

Perhaps it's just that they are new, but they do feel slightly different - my third pair - and I like them better. I wear these with orthotic inserts and they are awesome!

The Grey colour goes lovely with jeans as well as with black pants.

Best running shoe. I bought two pairs. Be mindful, must buy 1/2 size smaller than usual, they run big-long.

I wear a 7.5 in New Balance. This version felt a half size larger/longer, so I purchased the 7. It was too small, my toe hit the front of the toe box. So, this version is larger/longer than a typical NB sneaker. Not a half size larger, maybe a quarter!

Had ankle surgery last year and doctor recommended this shoe. Had the same surgery on the other foot a few months back so I got a new pair. I liked the heel cup on the previous model or two, but still a good choice for transitioning back to gain increased range of motion.

These are very comfortable shoes. I had the 2019 or 2020 version and I didn't like the foot opening as it was flimsy. They have corrected that in this shoe and it is a fitted "collar" and makes it more stable. Highly recommend as I use these as a baseball coach where I am standing for 4 hours at a time and even tournament weekends my back, knees and feet don't seem to get bothered.

Tried the new 1080V12 in double wide size 12.5- obviously I have a wide foot but also a high instep. The bottom lace of this shoe is kind of useless as you cant tighten it but in my case you cant widen it either and as a result I could not get
my feet into a double wide size.... it looks cooler I guess but the purpose of laces is so that you can loosen or tighten
the fit and you have removed that option.
I went back to my favorite older 860 model and thank God you had a few of my sizes left and I bought one and will buy another as I am guessing those are on the way out- too bad as New Balance was the only shoe maker I ran across with wide and double wide and half sizes above size 12.... the shoe lace modification may take away some customers but perhaps only those in the wide sizes.....
Hope you keep the 860 model around... if you need to change the number to 1160 to make it sound new and improved
most wouldnt notice- its a great shoe and why change the design and fit ? Make it more durable, lighter, change
the colors etc. but basic provendesign is timeless !!
Dont get me wrong I love my New Balance shoes ! Almost as must as my addidas running shoes in 1964-1970 when
I ran track and Cross country (before running was cool) and I would use duct tape to keep the uppers in place until the soles wore out ! Runners know when they come across a good shoe !

My son has large and wide feet. It has been a nightmare finding quality shoes that fit his feet well. These not only do the job but they look nice to too. No pinching, rubbing or they are easy for him to get on and off. I will definitely purchase these again and again

I walk for about an hour each morning. I wore out the soles of the shoes in the toe area, I have only had the shoes about 2 months.

I've had two foot surgeries, most recently being a month ago. So comfortable, I'm very picky with my shoes as most don't fit well. I've tried on a lot in the $130-$180 price range. These felt the best as soon as it tied them on. I won't be able to run in them for a while yet but around the house they are great. I'm a 7/7.5 so I got the 7.5 to accommodate my bad foot and they fit good. I've tried on a lot of different brands and this one felt the best right out of the box. I will be getting my another pair.

I was a 1080 runner for years but skipped the past two generations. I saw several reviews that mentioned sizing down a half size on the 1080v12. I tried a 10.5 first and while it felt comfortable for walking and was about the length of my size 11 shoes it didn't feel good for running. I'm going to try my normal running size of 11 and see how it goes. For pros this shoe feels light to me, it's comfortable for daily wear and I feel the styling is an improvement over the past two years. I would like more color options in 4e width but that's pretty typical. For negatives I don't feel like this shoe has much cushioning in the front of the shoe. The balls of my feet felt like they were taking a beating. So far I prefer running in my 880v11 or Fresh Foam More V3s but we'll see if that changes with the larger size.
I'd also recommend:
Brooks and New Balance for really wide feet

I have flat feet and this shoes are working just as expected. My true size is 10 but I ordered 10.5 to have extra space at the toe and the toe box.
I highly recommend 1080v12.
Thank you NB
