In November I was going on a 10-day cruise along the Norwegian coast and needed warm, water-resistant jacket, but because I was trying to pack everything in a carry-on, I wanted something that would not take up a lot of luggage room. Just got back from the trip and this jacket was exactly what I needed. Despite its lack of bulk, it kept me warm even during hikes and dog sledding, dry in light sleet and snow, and it packed tightly in its own pocket pouch. Plus nice ample pockets for gloves and hat and the hood fit well. As a bonus, I was able top get it in my favorite color, too!

I love this jacket. I also got one for my granddaughter. If it is so well rated, why aren't there more colors?

I've been looking for the perfect warm bit packable hood jacket. I've tried on many and this was by far the best and also the cheapest. Looked at every other brand and always something not quite right - too puffy, not warm enough, length too short, color not great. This is the perfect fit with room for a sweater or fleece underneath. Very wind proof. Better than the same thing from more expensive brands. .

Very lightweight and yet very warm. Love the style and the jacket is not thick and large.

I purchased an XL which has room for a sweater underneath. It is so comfy - would purchase again. I love the color.

I love this coat. I needed a packable coat and this one is perfect. It is pattern of the puffy cost is beautiful. It has a flattering fit and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great, lightweight, packable coat.

Very lightweight but warm, seems to adjust to the temperature. Takes up no room in packing.

This is the second one I have purchased for my daughter. She especially liked this one as it had a hood.

This jacket is lightweight yet warm. Perfect for travel. The only thing I would change is the logo on the front, just a pet peeve of mine. Honestly, I would buy more LL Bean outerwear if everything wasn't emblazoned with the logo.

Just bought this jacket and finding it to be great and perfect for spring/fall weather. I love the purple color. I did notice, however, the same jacket in the mens version that I bought for my son 2 years ago feels like it has more down and is puffier.

i love that this jacket is light but warm. when it is super cold, I wear it under the longer 850 down coat.

Love these jackets. This is my 4th one. Comfortable ,warm for cool weather and never wrinkle. I usually wear a size small ,I buy a size medium in these. Beans fleece vests fit nicely for colder weather.

This is a great very light weight but warm jacket. The styling (quilting pattern, contrasting zippers, etc) makes it look good as well. The hood is something I would not have chosen, but it's a great addition to add warmth, again without bulk. I got the petite size that fits super well. Very happy with this jacket.

Love the lightweight, and it's hard to find a "sweater" that has also has a hood. For me the hood is a must! Got it late in the year, so have not really tested it in very cold weather, but I know this is going to be a jacket that I wear ALL the time. I look forward to layering it as well, as it is roomy enough.
