Very thin and not for cold weather. Too expensive for the quality and lightweight product.

This is a larger size than I wear, so I would tell people buying it to SIZE UP. It was tight all around, could not zip and overall too uncomfortable.
Otherwise, the jacket is worth the money. Very nice.

This down sweater fits well and looks great when I am standing up. But it would be too tight in the stomach for sitting down (like at a ball game or driving). Therefore, I returned it.

I purchased this jacket to use as a wind shield and warmth container when I ride my Trike. I ride in 30 to 40 degree weather when it is dry. The jacket was rated to -20degrees which seemed to be adequate, I am not a speedster on my Trike. When it came I was amazed at the lightness, loved the color, size allowed me to wear my heaviest wool sweaters under it comfortably but I was never comfortable even at 45-50 degrees I was still chilling. Another problem was it didn't have a two way zipper which is very convenient while riding. So I returned it with regrets. I have ordered another style with more down. Fingers crossed.

I loved the fit except that it was too tight under the arms! I'm also slender so it's not that I have big arms, but I am sensitive to feeling the material hitting my armpits. Sadly had to return.

The "light rosewood" color or shade of this product is not the same as the "light rosewood" in L.L. Bean's color-block air-light knit top, which is paired with gunmetal gray and which I've had for quite some time now. The former definitely looks like a "faded" or "vintage" version of the latter. If the color name is the same, then all products bearing that name should look identical, or nearly so, across the entire line. There shouldn't be such a noticeable difference.

We'd bought the same coat two years before, same size. The recent purchase was smaller around chest/waist and longer on the arms

First of all I get large in LLBean coats because I work out and have bigger shoulders and I like to layer underneath and want some extra room. I got this coat in black and it is extremely cute and fits perfectly and seems to be made well. All other bean coats I have are very warm but this one is not at all! Even with layering underneath. For the first time I'm disappointed in a bean coat. It's just not warm enough for the money I payed for it! Fits great, looks beautiful and is very stylish, but not on cold Illinois days! So, if your looking for a cute coat for about 45 degree weather, this is the coat for you.

I just returned from a very short walk in this jacket. To be exact the temperature is 27 and feels like 19. This should be categorized as a down sweater not a down jacket. Will be returning this and likely not repurchasing another from llbean. I was freezing and felt air coming through. The good is great however for a positive on this sweater.

I really wanted to love this jacket, but after 2-3 months of use, the down was clumping and feathers began to fall out. Certain parts of the jacket had no down and provided no warmth. I would dry with dryer balls or tennis balls, which would help but not solve the problem. Certain parts of the jacket (like the hood), aren't actually sewn into separate down compartments (it looks like it, but when you feel the seem, there is an opening), so the down shifted all the way to one side leaving one side bare. The pocket zippers also sometimes would get caught. Also was tight in the armpit if you wanted to add a layer under it. Sad to return, but I expected more for a $200+ jacket.

I am disappointed that the jacket is larger in every way compared It is larger than expected in every way and compared to a different model that I bought last year. I hesitate about returning it because, once again, I'd lose what I paid for shipping. I wish that LLB had a partner store for returns and fittings in Atlanta, Georgia AND that the sizes were consistent.

Loose threads Sleeve- I've only had this coat for about a month. I haven't worn it much because we're in New England and the weather is not appropriate.

This jacket is not windproof as advertised under Key Features. It's also not warm. A feather poked through after only putting it on once inside. Makes me wonder if more will poke through over time. I do like the color and fit but that's not what I bought the jacket for.

I love the Olive Moss color, but it had gray spots all over it. The jacket was light weight and comfortable but it's going back. Please fix the spots!

I bought this at the end of winter and did not use until the following season. Liked the looks, fit, comfort, warmth. BUT then I eventually had to wash it. The down shifted in the tubes and no matter how much I tumbled it or shook it, there were still bare spots in the tubes. (I held it up to the light and could see the bare spots through the lighter color sections.) I've had a number of down jackets over the years, most from LL Bean, and know how to care for them. Have never had this problem before. I will not buy this style again. I'll stay with the larger baffle down jacket next time. Big disappointment and now quite cold with the empty spots in baffles.

I like the fit of the jacket (does feel like it runs a little big but good for layering) though I'm not impressed with the quality. Live in ak and have had numerous down jackets but never lost so much down so quickly, within the first couple wears and it continues to shed like crazy.

The fit, the style, the hood, the warmth - all were excellent. The color was not. I could not find a color that worked for me. Light Rosewood was best described by another reviewer as Dried Blood, The dark blue didn't have much pizazz. I'll wait and find a suitable color - perhaps next year!

I love this coat. It fits great, and feels super warm. However, the "light rosewood" color appears (on my devices) like a very pretty pink color. In reality, this color is much browner. It honestly remind me of the color of dried blood. I'm going to have to return it or exchange possibly for a different color. So bummed.

I purchased the coat in my normal M size, it was huge even with a hoodie underneath so I exchanged it for a S which fits better but not perfect. I loved the coat for a few days, it keeps me warm but then I noticed discoloration in the armpits within two weeks. I wasn't sweating profusely by any means but there were still dark-colored stains in the armpit area. For how much the coat was, I'm disappointed.

The color of this jacket was very nice and it was light wt. and warm. The problem is that the outer fabric is too sheer and the darker feathers show through and make it look like it got spattered with dirty water. Not really acceptable but I wore it a few times before I noticed it.

I wanted to love this jacket, the fit was okay. The light green moss color though was to light that you saw the dark featers inside. So it just looked like there were faint dirt spot sporadically all over the jacket. Unfortunately it had to go back.

Loved the color/look & fit, but it had grey blotches all over it. Ordered another, same thing. Returned them to a store, ordered one more (store did not have the hooded) while there-same thing. Returned!

I have bought three of these jackets over the past five years. Two for me and one for my daughter. The first two (version with no hood) have held up very well and I'd say were "Best Buy" of 2018 and 2019. My husband got me the hooded version Christmas 2021. Loved it as well until the shell developed small tears in shoulder and front chest area. Very odd. I live in NM so only wear this 2-3 months of the year. For the price, I expected this to last longer than a year. I'm a big LLBean fan. This won't lose me as a customer but I won't replace.

Purchased two of these jackets and both zippers failed. Jackets look almost new but cannot wear without a working zipper. Tailor is not able/willing to replace zippers on down jackets.
