This jacket is one of the best I ever bought. It's my first experience with the new, lighter jackets and I was pleasantly surprised at its warmth. In addition, the dark blue is a beautiful, shimmering indigo; much more attractive than your regular dark blue. I bought extra large, so that I could wear layers under it, and it fits perfectly, with a little room to spare. Needless to add, I'm very pleased!!!

I bought this for my daughter, who is 5'9" and slender. She loves it. She lives in Ohio and uses it for many cold weather activities including long fast walks with her dog before dawn, hiking, and work. The color was true to description. We have had great luck with LL Bean products....particularly for her.

Purchased this sweater jacket right before a fall cold snap. The jacket is surprisingly warm for how light it is and long enough for my arms so my wrists aren't exposed when reaching. Love this jacket.

Bought last weekend in Freeport ME thinking I would probably return it. This is a keeper! So lightweight yet comfortably warm. It is also very slenderizing! I carry my weight in my midsection but you'd never know it. I love this jacket so much! Thank you LLBean....this one's a winner!

I love the down sweater. This is my 4th sweater but I didn't have one with a hood so that is why I wanted this one. I got the grey and It fits true to size. It is so light yet warm enough for our Montana temperatures. Thanks LL Bean for continuing to make this product. There might be one thing that is missing on this jacket, the outer chest zipper pocket for my phone. All of the others have one.

I opened up the package and immediately thought - this can't be right, where's the fluff? Is this thing defective? - but I put it on and gave it a chance anyway. It looks much fluffier on! It was -3 here in VT this morning and I was comfortable outside waiting for the bus with my kids, with this jacket and a just long sleeve top under. It's soo light weight and would be easily packed up tight, but so warm! I love the blue color and the hood is great, not as tight fitting as some other Jackets I've had. Nice job LL Bean.

If you are in the market for a new winter jacket look no further!! I am OBSESSED with this jacket! As a college student in New England, the walk to class can sometimes feel daunting, but this jacket makes it 100x easier! It is so warm you can't feel the wind at all. It is also not bulky and lightweight, so it is perfect for my winter jogs and hiking trips! On top of being insanely warm and comfortable, it is also very stylish and slimming on the body. As a campus ambassador for L.L.Bean my fellow students ask me what my favorite product from L.L.Bean is and I always say this jacket.

I went around Freeport trying on every brand name jacket I could find and this one fit so much better than the others. It fits well across the shoulders as well as across the hips. It's also amazingly warm for such a lightweight jacket.

Love the fit, comfort and quality...just thinking it would be warmer since it was 850 down, Maybe should have gotten the other one instead of the sweater.

Love the coat but the petite runs small. Had to buy the regular version even though the sleeves are too long.

This jacket, with a base layer, is very warm. I'm fine in it down to 20 (F). I could probably be fine with it in temps lower than that, I just haven't encountered them. If you're unfamiliar with down, you may not expect how warm it is. The shell is fairly decent at keeping out wind, when it's super windy a windbreaker or wind proof shell may be necessary. The cut is boxy. I ordered a medium and while it fits well, it's just boxy. I actually ordered a small as well, to see if that would be any better, but it was too tight in the shoulders and upper back. Overall I'm very happy with this jacket for the price. I actually feel like it's indispensable in my wardrobe. One ultralight piece that is fine for most winter things, apart from anything where it'll get wet, or very cold, like sub-10 F. When it's that cold, other layers will be needed.

Overall I'm happy with this coat. I'm 5'3" and weigh 115 lbs and got a small petite. It fits well but I could have also gone with the extra small. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the price was on the high side and I really wished the cost went down past my thighs.

Super light and warm. Great purple color. It's long enough to cover well to keep me warm.

It is so light but so warm in cold weather. I did spill a bit of coffee on a sleeve thot didn't come out with wash, per directions, as I had hoped.

Seems to damage fairly easy so have to be careful. I do like it otherwise though

This lightweight down jacket ran large. I returned the large and bought the medium. I'm 5'7" with a lightly padded athletic frame and broad shoulders. The jacket still has room for several thin under layers with the ability to move freely. Keeps me comfortable from a chill and wind until about 40 degrees. Then I shift to a higher count down-filled jacket. I'm a winter wimp and this jacket is a great lightweight addition to my outdoor wear.

Love this light jacket. I bought purple. If the logo is on the sleeve, it will be even better.

I ended up with the blue night colo. I really wanted the green but the dark feathers made the fabric look stained and dirty. The jacket itself is a great light weight jacket. Perfect for those warm winter days when a heavy coat is not needed. I picked it up for our summer trip to Iceland. It's a little snug in the chest for me, but otherwise it's great.

I needed a winter jacket and decided to try this lightweight down hooded sweater. I like the features including the 2 zippered pockets on the outside and the one inside at breast level. Also, the hood pulls on quickly if it begins to rain and the cuffs are elasticized to keep out the cold. Of course, the lightweight but warm features are amazing and comfortable and the purple color is subtle and pretty. Living in NW CT, I find this jacket to be good when the temperature is not below about 35 degrees with no wind chill. When it's colder, I need my Bean knee length down coat that is about 7 yrs old and still wonderful. I'm 120lbs, 5'41/2" and bought a medium regular and can wear a sweater fleece under the jacket but sometimes just wear a fitness fleece jacket which is lighter. I "run cold" ; someone else may not need an extra layer. I gave 4 stars b/c the front sometimes bunches in front and doesn't lay flat and needs to be smoothed.

I love the jacket, but I don't love the big logo across the front.

I kind of got caught up in the moment buying this coat at the store when they were having their after-holiday sales. I thought it was marked down but to my surprise at the busy register, it was not, and I had to make a decision and my husband convinced me to get it. I still have buyer remorse. It's just so much for what it is. It's a great stylish coat, lightweight and fits great. Not sure it's worth the price. So, I'm mixed. That is the reason for the 4 vs 5 stars

This is a great jacket for running out and about, in and out of stores. It is not that warm, however, so I wouldn't recommend it for serious outdoor activities in cold weather. The fact that it has a hood helps.

Returned this one (also ordered the down jacket to compare)... Preferred the jacket as this didn't seem as warm (at least it was less filled)... Would've definitely considered it if I wasn't in the geographic location that I am in! Also did like the fact that it is packable!
