Please bring back the old sizing on this jacket. The petite large is too big and the petite medium is too small. I have been buying LL Bean coats and jackets for many years and always ordered the petite large which fit me perfectly until now.

Initially, I loved this jacket! It was beautiful, lightweight and warm.
Then, 2 months after purchasing it, I noticed a one and a half inch tear with feathers coming out in the fabric on the front of the jacket! I can no longer wear it! I paid full price ($249.) for it!

Love the fit and the color, but it is NOT warm. It may have 850 down, but there's very little of it, there are too many sewn through baffles, and there's not lining. Very disappointing in that regard.

I live in New Jersey and we have cold winters. This past month has been single digits and windy. I can say I was not cold but I was not toasty warm at all. This keeps the cold at bay but it is not at all a warm jacket. For the price it should be better. I am keeping because for the most part I go from my house to my car and so forth, I do not spend a ton of time outside, but even on those shorts walks it is not what I had hoped it would be. I am only keeping because I like not having a bulky jacket when I drive but I'm pretty disappointed in this purchase. I'm 5 foot 2 and 160 pounds and I got a regular medium and it fits good with enough space to put a pretty thick sweater underneath.

When looking for a coat I clicked "warmest" on the filters so I'd only be looking at coats for very cold weather. This coat is barely puffy. I ordered a raincoat at the same time and when the package arrived I thought they mailed them separately because it didn't look thick enough to have a puffy coat and a raincoat. I went back to the website and noticed that even though this coat comes up when you click "warmest", it's states it's "warmer" in the description. I wish I had seen that.
It's also a bit larger than I like (I followed the size guide when ordering). Even wearing my sweatshirt with my boyfriend's fleece jacket over the sweatshirt it was a bit roomy.
I can't comment on quality because I didn't wear it outside; it looks fine, though and I like the hood and the color.
I'm also disappointed because even though the coat doesn't match the description I have to pay for the return label. I applied for the LLBean credit card (you get free returns) and was denied even though my credit score is 790.
This would probably be a fine fall jacket but I wasn't looking for a fall jacket.

Color, fit were great. Loved the length BUT is not wind proof. Wind is frequent and strong here so I returned jacket after brief excursion in back yard.

Nice looking jacket but the down is starting to come out. Want to return but not sure if there's a time limit.

Just wasn't what I expected. It came in a little green LL Bean plastic bag that was thin as paper

Beautiful color. Way too thin to be a winter coat. More like a Fall cozy layer

Seems like it would be a nice jacket and nice fit but I've tried to buy it three times each with it's own defect

Ultra Light 850 used to be great LLBean quality, but the workmanship is poor. Feathers are coming out and the stitching is of poor quality. Shame on you!

This has been my daughter's go to jacket for several years as it is warm and light. However the quality has really declined. The one we received this year had 2 small rips in it upon arrival. It is being returned. Last year we also experienced small tears after a few wearings. As a lifetime LL Bean customer, I am disappointed with the change in quality of their products.
Disappointed I,

I bought the largest size 3X in hopes of finding an upper arm sleeve that would be roomy enough for my larger upper arm even though my normal size would be a 1X to 2X, never a 3X. The 3X jacket at the shoulders was correctly way too big for me but the sleeves were skin tight to my arms which shouldn't be the case for a jacket that is so much larger at the shoulders. Well made jacket but why make a 3X if you're not going to match the upper upper arm sleeve to the jacket. Same goes for the 1x or 2x. I shouldn't have to buy such a big jacket to find a sleeve that works.

Was looking for a replacement for an older Bean coat that after many years was just getting worn out. Unfortunately this didn't do it. I bought the same "warmth" rating as my old coat that I have loved so much. NOT the same. I wore this skiing a week ago on a 25 degree night and was freezing all night. Stitched up the tear in my old coat and wore it this week at 5 degrees plus wind and was not cold. The new coats are not up to par with the old. I'm returning and searching out a new brand that prioritizes warmth.

This jacket is NOT suitable for even 25 degree temps, much less -25! I went out in weather that varied from upper 30s to low 40s and was cold. This is does NOT have the warmth promised. 850 fill power down is only good if the down has "weight" ... it's the grams that matter more than the fill power number. BACK IT GOES. It fits well and looks cute but who cares when you're freezing.

I wanted to love this jacket but it's not that warm as I wanted and there is no liner at all, not even in the pockets. Wouldn't recommend for cold or wet weather. Now if it had a thin fleece liner or something it would of been a perfect 10. Please add a liner, even a very thin soft one would be great or at least in the pockets to keep hands warm. Hate having to return

I purchased this coat with high expectations. I needed it for a work trip where I needed to be warm but flexible as I work in law enforcement. It was warm and light, exactly what I was looking for. On the second time I was wearing the coat (the first time I just ran to the supermarket ) I saw a tiny feather coming out of the arm. I gently pulled on it to take it off and it made a hole with more feathers. I am so disappointed as this is a very expensive coat. I called LL Bean customer service and was advised that I can return it even though I cut off the tags (which I greatly appreciated) Please try to make this jacket more durable and practical, especially for the price.

I bought this jacket in the color I was eying for a while. It was out of stock then came back in stock, at which time I ordered it. Never received it but instead got someone else's order. This is clearly a mix up by LL Bean. Now the jacket I wanted is out of stock again and I'm out of luck.

Flap that covers whole bottom of your face is not to my liking. Rubs over yourmouth, picks up oil or make up from your skin

I've worn my jacket less than 10 times and it has a big tear in the pocket, one on the elbow and one across the belly.
I bought this jacket for hiking and it obviously can't stand any rubs against trees or brush. So sad because it keeps me warm and dry. Not worth this money AT ALL.

The jacket is just what u wanted but for $200+ why is there logos on it? They should be paying me if they want to advertise. I really, really hate logos on my clothes. I would love to send it back and get one without the logos on it. Do better ll bean . You don't need to charge so much and insist on the logos. I hate that they are on my jacket
