The pocket zipper catches a lot on the inner part of the sleeve. There's a snag already on the fabric. There should be a cover for the zipper or something

This ran a little big, wanted to exchange but the shipping fees both ways didn't seem to be worth it if the XS would end up being too small.

The quality of the coat is excellent. The fit is very good. However, I was surprised that a down filled coat would be so thin. It's only appropriate for the first days of Autumn and probably also for Spring. But it is not designed for Winter chills. The hood will keep rain off of your head but only for a short time..I guess when we reviewed the description we didn't understand these features

I was looking for a new, warm, lightweight jacket for NorCal winter. I have an inverted triangle body shape (bigger in the arms) which is always a challenge to fit tops. Ordered my regular size 1X and one larger 2X and the arms were too tight and if I had gone up yet another size, to fit the arms the body of the jacket would have been too large. I purchased the blue and while the color was nice, it was a bit shiny for my liking. The down coat/warmth overall was what I was looking for.

Not quite the LLBean quality from the past. Warm coat, very plain, boxy shape - needs to be a little more tailored for price.

Great coat. Not sure if fit is true to size or not, but it was too large for me and in most stuff, I wear a small. Apparently though, every LL Bean coat I tried on, I need an XS Petite. Other than that, go with what your body seems to be telling you.

I loved this jacket in the catalog, loved it online, loved it when I got it. Perfect fit, perfect fabric, pretty much perfect color (a little towards turquoise). But when I went to zip it up the zipper was on the wrong side for me. I tried to put up with it but I saw a long road ahead that I didn't want to learn to navigate. The zipper was even beautiful. I hated to return it but I did.

Disappointed because the zipper on the pockets catches the seam on the inside of the arm VERY easily & pulls the thread. I've only worn the coat a few days & it keeps pulling the thread, which makes me concerned that it won't last long. :( Otherwise, it's a very warm, comfortable coat. Wish the zipper was covered, then it would be perfect.

Compared to my old LL Bean jacket the pockets in this one leave much to be desired. There is no outside breast pocket on this one. The old one has a zippered breast pocket both on the outside and the inside. The new inside pocket is deep but does not zip closed. I fear it will wear out quickly the fabric material seems light/thin. The old one had an addition to the hood that came around and closed around the neck. Made it warmer.

I wanted to love this jacket. I've been wanting to buy this for a while, so when there was a great sale I jumped on it. I love the color and the fit overall, but the sleeves are just too short and I don't like the fact that the cuffs are so tight and can't be adjusted. It would be great if the sleeves were about an inch or so longer and if there were Velcro adjustable cuffs. I will be returning, but I would love to purchase this jacket in the future if the sleeves were adjustable and a little bit longer. Also, it would be wonderful if there was a soft fleece lining in the pockets.

The jacket is very light weight and does keep the wind from chilling you, but it has some tiny pin holes where feathers come out. Seems not to be very well made.

I bought this as a winter coat in NY since the warmth guide said it should be good for 25 degrees. I wore this in our strangely warm fall and I was cold when it dropped to 40 degrees. The color was beautiful and I got a larger size than needed to be able to wear sweaters under it, sadly this coat was more like a sweater and it went back. The color was gorgeous though, I got the dusk blue.

I wanted to love this jacket, Color great. Lightweight great. BUT it really was not warm enough on a windy day with temp in the 20s Might be great for temps in 40s Returned

The fit was nice butna week after getting it, the threading on the elbow came loose and started catching on the pocket zipper. I don't know if it was just a flaw with the one I had or a design flaw.
Before that, I had worn it outside in 30 degree weather with layers and it wasn't as warm as I would have thought it should be for 850 down fill jacket
My cheap, old puma 650 down fill jacket was warmer and I've been beating up on that for 6+ years.
For $200+ I expect more.

I own 4 LL Bean coats and I usually love the petite small fit. I ordered the petite small in this coat and the sleeves are too long and gape. I also don't love the way it fits. For the price it should be stellar and it's meh. I will be returning it.

I so wanted this jacket to work, but what's the point of a $265 jacket if the feathers fall out after just a couple of weeks? So disappointed that LLBean quality isn't what it used to be.

I returned this jacket because of the fit. I ordered a size up and still it was tight if I tried to layer it over anything. I really liked the jacket but not the fit.

Love the jacket, hate that it has LL Bean logos on it. They should be paying me for being a walking billboard. I hate logos on my clothes. I try to cover them with a scarf but there are 3!! Front left, one on the arm near the wrist and another under the hood in the back. They aren't even subtle. I live in Boston and won't wear it if I'm going into downtown just because of the logos. I love LL Bean and have a lot of their stuff, I just don't want to be a walking billboard for them after paying so much money.

The jacket is not warm if temps are below 40 degrees. A strong wind goes right through it. The jacket snags easily. When clothing is made to be light weight it will not be warm.

I don't feel this jacket is as warm as they claim. It might be for some but definitely not for me. Nice look. Tears easily.

It's not worth $200. 850 Down? All I can say is that it's worth $200.

I bought this coat last Jan and was thrilled to get a light down coat that is warm, fits well and is a fun color. The reason I'm giving this a "2 rating is the shell is NOT durable. Everything that catches on it, including the velcro on my gloves, abrades the shell and then the down starts coming out. I have little holes all over the cuffs (which should be very durable, in my opinion) as well as on the shoulders. When I wear a light (nylon) backpack, that too, rips little holes in the shell and out comes the filling. Great jacket, BUT they need to use a much more durable shell and the cuffs should be extra durable as that area is what rubs against other fabric the most (ie gloves, mittens, etc). I have friends with the same issue, so that's why I decided to write this review. This product needs an upgrade. Disappointed in this low quality from Bean

I have ordered 3 different colors of this jacket. The representation of the inside lining colors is limited and the only visual of the coat is pictured zipped up. From what I could discern from the photo, I hoped the blue color would be concealed at the back, so I ultimately ordered the sugarplum and loved that color... until I unzipped the coat to find the entire inside of the coat lined with this neon like blue which ruins the look of the jacket and does nothing to complement the main color. If you want something other than black or navy...buyer beware...no choice or rational on how the stylists choose these awful color combinations! it will be a surprise! Sending it back...

The jacket is really warm and light weight and for those reasons I loved it. The fabric, however, did not live up to my high L.L.Bean expectations. I brushed up against a wire dog crate and it snagged the fabric. Also, my dog jumped up on me and it ripped. I understand that the return policy doesn't cover animal damage, but I really was not impressed with the quality of the fabric. I would not recommend the jacket to anyone with an active lifestyle or a rambunctious K9.
