I have only worn this jacket 3 times since I purchased it but I'm very happy so far. The material is very soft and light weight. It is amazing that such a light weight jacket keeps you warm. Love that it is down-filled, has a hood that is not bulky, the sleeves are the right length and they are fitted. The bottom of the jacket is kind of wide but it has drawstrings to pull it tight to keep the wind out. I have gotten several compliments on the green color!! I do have a question for LLBean. In one pocket is a zipper that says STOW but no explanation what it is for or how to use it?? I did purchase this jacket for a trip we will be taking and I was hoping it would pack easily without taking up much space. It definitely will do that!

I bought this coat several years ago to be my dog walking coat. It is very warm but because it has black fabric on the inside and the red fabric is kind of thin it looks dirty everywhere there is stitching.

I am a petite medium, I couldn't close the coat to zip it. There was too much of a distance between the two sides for it to be a matter of a return for the next size.

Bought this jacket solely because it was on sale so had to serried for orange color. The full price is almost $300 which is far too expensive.

Good design. Nice hood. On the other hand, this parka is made with a very thing nylon fabric. I kept it but had a seamstress put cordura "cuffs" put on the arms from the wrist to just above elbows. Much better and will last longer. Had I not done this, I suspect this jacket would have lasted about one season. The fabric needs to be a more durable nylon.

Its not as warm as I anticipated. Not sure that it will be sufficient when I travel to colder climatess.

I wanted an upgrade, but the new XS is considerably larger than the one I bought 10 years ago, and not a true XS. It is baggy throughout the entire body (especially in front), and wide in the shoulders. Not athletically inspired anymore. I will return the new one and wear my old XS until it falls apart or I find a suitable replacement. For reference, the jacket is 11 years old, and I have been purchasing LLBean products since I was a teenager.

The jacket is what I wanted. I did know it was going to cost me, but I didn't realize that the quality of the zipper would be so cheaply made for the amount of money I paid. The jacket I was replaced fit perfect. Size medium. I had to get an extra large to replace. I guess Bean sizes for elf's sizes.

Overall this is a nice stylish warm coat. I am disappointed with the purchase due to the stitching on the left upper arm. The stitching is tight appears to have been double stitched. I will be returning the coat.

I have this jacket in the un-hooded version from three winters ago and have loved it. I wanted a hood, so ordered this in the Petite Small. While it fit well in the body and the length was fine for my 5 foot frame, the sleeves were way too long. I agree with another reviewer that they are too long for a petite and loose fitting in the wrist area. There is no mechanism to cinch them for a tighter fit. Unfortunately, I cannot justify the cost for a jacket that doesn't have a great fit, so will return it. I did get the dark red and it is a very nice deep shade of red. Overall, it feels a little thinner and lighter than my old jacket

Disappointed by the lining! I wanted to like it but I don't know who decided to use navy blue or black as lining on a yellow jacket. It looks as if the color bled through especially at the seams. The jacket looks stained. I'm not sure how it passed quality control.

Three years ago, I bought this same jacket, plum color but without a hood. It's toasty warm, love it very much. This year, I decided to purchase the same jacket in blue and with a hood. When the jacket came, I noticed that the down filling of the jacket was thinner and seemed flimsy. Disappointed

Beautiful gold color for sure but very thin (not the warmest) runs large, and changed color in creases after one time of wrapping around my waste. For the money I was disappointed.

Lovely color and fabric, but arms are too snug, as is the body. i always purchase 2x and it is a perfect fit, but yours are too snug.

The coat keeps you very warm and gets used from taking the class out for recess, hiking and in New England, and looks good in everyday use. I would give it 5 stars for that, but the longevity is lacking. I love the functionality and price so much, this is the second one purchased in 5 years. That is also why I took two stars off. The down clumped and shifted, especially through the arms. I should have purchased this last winter. I am vigilant in the cleaning, with down cleaner and the use of wool dryer balls. The arms could not be fully lifted again. I am hoping the Downtech has evolved to be that much better than the last time.

This jacket was high in price and returned because it was uncomfortable. The jacket was tight fitting in the arms and restricted movement when both arms were raised up and extended forward. Not what you want to wear when driving a car.

I am returning this jacket because it is not as warm as I expected. I wanted a new jacket to replace my warmer 850 Big Baffle Down LLBean jacket but unfortunately it is no longer available and there is no comparable item that is as warm and lightweight available at LLBean. I thought this was a new version of the Big Baffle down jacket but it is not. I already have an earlier version of this 850 ultralight jacket in a different color.

A lot lighter than I would have thought, and warmer than I'd have thought based on the weight. It's really big around the midsection, though--it seems like it's made for a pregnant woman. The neck isn't very comfortable in the front either when it's zipped up. And finally, it rustles annoyingly. My other down jacket doesn't do that. Not crazy about this piece. Good price, though, and very packable. I'd recommend it if somebody didn't care much about the looks.

I bought this for my wife she works outside at the playground for recess at the school an complained that she gets cold With the 850 down filled and reviews I thought it would be perfect .Plus it was a nice length I paid for express shipping came in about 2 days She loved the Plum color the coat fit her very well except in the shoulders she felt it was tight in that are and restricted her arm movements .The coat was paper thing like it had nothing in it You could not feel any down at all like they forgot to fill it.so we are sending it back. To bad she loved the coat

I am 5 feet 6 inches tall and weigh 135 pounds. I ordered the Medium size and it is too loose on me. The jacket is very light and doesn't keep me warm in temperatures that are below 35 degrees. I love the fact that the jacket folds into a pocket because I take it with me when I travel. For example, I wore it on my flight from NY to Florida and was able to stow the coat away in my carry-on luggage en-route to Florida. Upon my return to frigid NY, I simply took the jacket out of its pocket and put it on. I kept the size Medium because it leaves plenty of room for layers.
