Love this jacket! Lightweight, but it keeps you warm and toasty. tucks away in a small space for travel. Love it so much,I bought my sister one!

This jacket is awesome! It is light yet really warm and comfy without being bulky. I live in the northeast with tough snow storms and bone chilling lake wind and the jacket has protected me well. It is great for outdoor activities and packs into its own little pocket...brilliant design! I have received compliments on the color and fit. I generally wear a Medium, but bought a Large to accommodate an additional layer, if needed.

I love these jackets, it's my second one. I refer to it as my "magic coat" because its keeps me warmer than any coat I've ever owned in the cold PA winters and equally cold Maine springs. It fits nicely and keeps me warm without being bulky. It regulates my body temp well, too. I can wear it in the car comfortably for hours without overheating then go for a walk in 20 degree weather.

It is very light to wear and still keeps you warm no matter how cold it gets outside. This jacket is a keeper.

It breaks the wind. The collar covers my neck when zipped to the top.

I am in love with this jacket! I run cold normally and this jacket solves that problem. I normally wear a medium in most LL Bean items but decided on a large for layering purposes. I might have opted for a medium had I been able to try it on in person (online purchase as I live in the Pacific NW). LL Bean, please open a store in Portland, Oregon. Pretty please ;)

I've been a loyal wearer of the 850 jacket for 7 years. After many well-worn years, it was time to upgrade my original. This one is even better! The fit got nicer and it's even warmer now. I use it every day for regular wear and for longer winter hikes; you can't find a better jacket.

My entire life I have hated wearing coats due to their bulk. I can't believe I finally have a coat I LOVE that keeps me warm and doesn't weigh me down or make me feel like the Michelin Man looks. I never hesitate to put this coat on and I never regret wearing it - it's nice to be comfortable and warm. Finally.

This petite down coat is so light, warm, wind proof and water resistant! I love the color and have gotten so many compliments on it! Very comfortable so happy to have gotten this on sale! I really didn't need another coat LOL! But it has been my go to and will for many seasons to come! :-)

Excellent jacket for the cold windy snowing days in Chicago. I am a California person and went to Chicago earluer tbis month. I dont have a needs for a downjackets here.ifpund this one and fell in love with it. Kept me very warm while walking in the heavy snow yet very light in weight and was able to smash it in my back pack for my trip home

I reviewed this jacket in November 2021 after just having purchased it a few weeks before. Well, the winter is winding down, and this jacket has handled our zero (and below) temps like a dream! Lightweight, warm, stylish - what more could you ask for? I liked it so much, I bought the slightly longer coat, for dressier occasions (and yes, it is just as warm)! No need to wear 4 or 5 layers with this jacket, it is that warm! And very light on your shoulders! I just LOVE this jacket!

This is a very warm, light weight down jacket, perfect for layering when doing active outdoor activities in central NY winters. I was comfortable in the mid 20's wearing it over a good thick sweater. Highly wind resistant . I am 5 ft 6", 140lbs. I chose a large over my normal medium to allow for layering and because the sleeves on the medium were a bit tight. A good value overall. Very pleased.

I am loving this jacket. It's thick but not to puffy. The sleeves are long enough for me which is rare and the color or beautiful.

I brought this for my mother and she loves this jacket. She likes the lightweight feel and how it keeps you warm especially when its very cold outside. She has gotten several compliments from friends and even strangers too. Awesome purchase!

I love this jacket. I am a long time Bean shopper and have other down coats including a red puffer that is my warm go to. I was looking for a new chicer look with the same warmth. I narrowed it to 5 choices. This jacket was the perfect one. The royal plum color is modern and tasteful. The fit is fabulous; big enough for a sweater under if needed but fitted enough to look handsome. I am not a hoodie person, but the hood on this jacket is wonderful. great coverage without looking like a cone head. This jacket will not disappoint you!!!!

Warm enough for Seattle winters, lightweight and nicely fitted. Enough room for a not too bulky layer underneath. So glad LLBean has petites!

I love this jacket. It was just what I was looking for in a warmer puff than the one I have. It is warm and windproof, and long enough to keep me cozy. The hood is a tad bigger than I like, but that may be to accommodate a hat. The color is gorgeous...what's not to like?!

I've retired my perfectly good but outdated 25- year-old LL Bean jacket for this new beauty. I love the slimmer look with less puff but the same level of warmth. It's a keeper!!

Great fit, good length, very warm! Love that it has a good sized hood that fits over a hat and scarf.

It is awesome in fit and style! And the hood is plenty big for big noggins.

I just love this jacket and I never love anything! It is warm, light and easy on and off. The hood comes around my face so I don't need a hat when going to my mailbox. It also comes down lower in the back which is a plus. It is my go to winter/cold weather favorite. I think it will even be good in the spring. You can't go wrong on this! Seriously!
