Great winter coat, very warm without being heavy/bulky. True to size. Great quality.

Really warm and super light. Fit is great. Inner sweatshirt or fleece is good when outside temperature is lower than freezing.

I hesitated because other similar products were tight in 3x, but this fit's with room and it's the lightest jacket I ever tried on. I bought it and now I bought another one.

I love this jacket! It is warm, lightweight, and comfortable. I chose LL Bean because it offers petite sizes. I am 5' 2", 116 pounds, and the XS Petite fit me well.

Love the SugarPlum color with the light blue interior, LL Bean you're finally contemporary! I am also grateful for the petite sizing so that I won't have to shorten the sleeves. The petite medium is true to size, enough room for a sweater underneath. There is a pocket in the lining but I agree with the other reviewers, wish it had 2 inner pockets, one with a zipper. Then it would be the perfect jacket!

Jacket is very light, but very warm Runs true to size, but if you want a heavy sweater underneath, I'd go a size up.

I love this coat. I did a lot of research as it's a bit of a splurge though the quality is there on so many levels. One of the best things about this well-constructed jacket is that it has the warmth though with the 850 fill--it doesn't add a lot of puffiness, which can be so unflattering unless you are tall and skinny. It retains some shaping rather than being just pouffed up, and the outside material is soft and silky. The only thing that could be improved is if they added some adjustment to the hood as there's no way to close it down especially if you have a smaller head or face so it sort of balloons a bit and obstructs your vision a bit as you turn to the side as there isn't a pull tie or toggle to bring it in closer to the face. That said--this seems like it is going to be a great jacket for winter that looks extremely attractive even in a larger size.

With a base (Smartwool) layer, this kept me warm in 38-degree weather. I bought it to take hour-long walks in 25-45 degree weather. I wanted something that would be comfortable without being too heavy or bulky. This coat fits that criteria. It hasn't been cold enough to try it at colder temperatures, but I'm hopeful it will keep me warm, especially if I add another layer under it. I like the teal color.

The weather hasn't been cold enough yet to wear the coat. I do like how lightweight it feels. Bought it for Alaska trip in December.

I really like this jacket, I'm looking forwarding to wearing it skiing. The only downside is there is no XXL and the 1X is a little large on me (XL too small). I can cinch the ties at the waist which helps. Love the berry color.

I have worn LLBean down jackets for more years than I want to admit to! It hasn't been cold enough for me to try this new one out quite yet but I expect the quality of this jacket will not disappoint!

I have one, my wife liked it so much now she has one. Different colors, of course. This is a lightweight comfortable jacket, and when zipped up you will be warm.

I bought this for my daughter who hates bulky coats. She loves how thin it is. Ordered her true size and she loves how it fits.

It's just what I wanted, warm, lightweight and I love a zippered inner pocket. I know it's going to be my go to jacket. I did size up because I wanted it to easily fit over a bulky sweater but a MP would have worked. I ordered one without a hood for my husband and he loves it.

I got this jacket because I needed a warmer one for a backpacking trip to Isle Royale. It was prefect for my trip and kept me very warm on those cool nights and mornings. This is my new go to for my cooler trips!

I couldn't keep it although it is gorgeous. The hood is such a nice addition. It fit my shoulders but was so tight across the chest that I couldn't consider keeping it. My husband's reaction said it all, LOL. Although I did think about trying the next size up, the whole point of this jacket is for it to be sleek as well as warm. This style is not appropriate for my body type.
