gift for my wife; fit fine, light weight and clearly "packable"; not quite as warm as hoped for; Bean would be smart to not only rate "warm-ness" but to rank the different down coats warmest to less warm; in the past a temperature scale was given and it would be improvement to return to such a scale

Love everything about jacket except lack of warmth. So disappointed. Had to buy larger size so I can wear a sweater underneath for warmth.

Like everything about the jacket but the zipper. It does not stay shut at the bottom.

Was hoping it would be warmer. OK for a warmish spring day in the Northeast.

Nice fall jacket but not warm enough for me. Very thin. Loved the color

Perfect weight for our cooler and winter months in Asheville NC. Love the color. Bought it 2019 for a Alaska cruise and have worn it countless times but neck and wrists look dirty despite washing as directed. I have surmised that the color bled out of those areas due to skin oils. Have even considered rebuying for Ireland trip because the stained look is so sooooo unattractive. Likely won't as the results will be the same. But buyer beware for long term us that the jacket loses color on neck and wrist.

The previous version of this jacket was a 5-star. What happened? The design and fit has changed. The esthetics are fine, but now the shoulders and upper arms are tight with a shirt underneath. Not enough room for comfortable driving. If you are slender this jacket will be fine.

When I received this jacket, I couldn't believe it would be warm because it felt like there was no filling inside, and I tend to be on the cold side. I tried it on immediately, and found it very warm over my sweatshirt (inside the house). However, when I wore it outside in 54 degree cloudy weather on California's Central Coast, it didn't keep me warm enough, even though I was wearing a somewhat warm long-sleeved tunic underneath it. I thought the zippered pockets, color and detailing were great. Just wish it was warm. I will be returning.

I have 7 Bean jackets all Large but this one was snug in the hips and just right on top so it wouldn't make sense to get an x-large only to have it be too big on top. It was much thinner than I expected. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to wear it until mid-April in the northwest hills of Connecticut. Had to be returned.

I liked the styling of this jacket, but it's not warm at all...so what's the point?

Color was very pretty, fit well, however I find I prefer a coat which has both buttons & a zipper choice for closing the coat.

I absolutely loved the look of this jacket, I bought the gunmetal with orange trim. I ordered a large and it was huge! I returned it for this and the fact it was so thin. Too bad! I wanted to love it so bad!

Tried the medium right away and it fit perfectly. I usually take a small, but since I just tried on a medium size sweater, felt I should stick to the medium. Glad I did.

I am always an XL The XL didn't fit so I ordered a 1X. I can zip it but tight. I used the fit guide and it told me to buy an XL. I hate to do it but now I am ordering a 2X. I hope it fits! LL Bean has always been our go to for clothing. This is the first time I've been disappointed.

I am short but thick rather than slender. I ordered this coat in 2 sizes to see if either would be a good fit to replace one I've had for many years. Both the small and the medium were too tight around the waist. Even the hip area was not generous for a normally curvy person, which I am not. The medium was too long in the body and the sleeves for me, without being roomy anywhere else. For clarification, I am about 5', 125 lbs.

Kept this jacket, but had to have a tailor shorten the sleeves. Too bad petite sizes aren't for petites.

The petite small size is just right even to wear a vest or heavy sweater underneath. The bright fuscia is gorgeous . It is definitely packable. I am rating it average because it is not as warm as advertised. I expected to layer it and layered at 50 degrees it performed great, at 37-42 with puffer vest or fleece pullover( plus turtleneck) underneath it was not warm enough. I will definitely use it for fall and
early spring as it is beautiful and I support the use of recycled material.

Product is nice. I do object to having the ll bean logo on the jacket. Free advertising for your company and I can't even get the sale price on the product. I make it a point not to buy items that have brand logos visible on the product. Unfortunately this was the only item of its type available over many stores.

The new "slightly fitted" styling has me returning products like this jacket all the time now. Clothes from several years ago still fit great, so I know I have not changed, but the new fashion obsessed athletic styling now means that I feel painted into most of your clothing. Even trying a larger size does not work the shoulders are far too wide while the more fitted body is still unattractive. I lived in Bean clothing for years, rejoicing in well made good looking garments, but no more. The points I earn on my Bean credit card are rarely getting used. Please remember not everyone is a fitness model and make clothes for all of us.

Purchased in the store - usually wear a Large sized up to XL and regret it b/c the jacket doesn't fit correctly. Like the color (raspberry) and the lightness - but wish the sizing was more accurate

I bought this same jacket 5 years ago; I liked the fit and the weight of it- everything except the zipper- so when I needed a new jacket I bought this jacket again, assuming that LL Bean would have improved the zipper. I was wrong- the zipper is even worse- it takes me 10-15 tries each time I want to zip up the jacket
