Bought this jacket for use on chilly days and evenings in SoCal. Keeps my daughter warm in upper 30 degree weather, which is as cold as it gets where we live. The shade of blue we purchased is gorgeous. Great pockets, flattering fit, super comfortable! Thanks for another great product!

Just received a few minutes ago. The Fit is Perfect! This color Green is Gorgeous :) I'm tall and have long arms and curves. Fits like it was tailored just for me. Very light weight and comfortable; not bulky. Love Love Love it. I'm working with it on in my office! And it's 68 degrees in Texas.

This jacket is slightly fitted and very comfortable as an insulating layer when worn under my H2Off raincoat or any of my winter coats. When worn as a stand-alone jacket, the fabric glides on easily over a lightweight fleece pullover. The silver blue color is lovely with jeans or khakis.

LLBean finally got it right! Pockets! Chest pockets outside and inside. I'm using this as a liner jacket right now biking 10 miles in 20 degree weather. It will bethe outside garment when the deep freeze ends.
I have not hesitated to return jackets with too few pockets.

I love this jacket. Comfortable, warm, good looking. quality product. This replaces one I bought four years ago and ripped running after my dog next to a barbed wire fence. Style of this jacket is better than the older one - this one has a waist. Both packed away easily. Thank you, LL Bean

LL Bean has been a great source of petite sizes for me! However, I feel that extra small has become a larger cut over the years! Happy to see the occasional xx-small sizes now!

I got the gray with orange trim. So very cute. It fits well and is slightly fitted. Looks feminine and not boxy. It's very light so I didn't think it would be warm, BUT it is. Fabulous purchase. Couldn't be happier.

Warm, comfortable but lightweight. Since I received it, has become my primary coat for everday errands, walking for exercise and have stayed warm with lightweight sweater undeneath even in 30 degree temperature.

This is my second winter with this coat and I absolutely love it. It is incredibly lightweight and the fabric is so soft you can hardly feel that you're wearing it. I am generally a "cold" person and need one more layer than the rest of my family, so I love that this coat is generous enough to layer with a thick fleece or wool sweater for the really cold/windy days, but not too loose to wear over a single base layer for three season wear. I have worn it skiing, hiking, backpacking, walking my dogs, clearing brush, strolling the beach in winter and running errands around town. For extended time outdoors in truly cold conditions (10-20F) I wear a mid layer, but for running errands in my car I wear only the coat and appreciate that it's so thin it's completely comfortable to wear while driving or shopping and I don't get overheated. It does it all in a cute bright color (marine) that is so much more fun than everyone else's black puffy coats. It is sporty and casual but not sloppy. It washes and dries like a dream and so quickly! Based on the list of activities it has taken part in, you can assume its been washed many times. There is not a single loose thread or any filling leaking, moving or bunching in any way. I love the bit of elastic around the wrists to keep the cold out! The large but slim and invisible hip pockets that fit my wallet, phone and dog-walk bags. I love the large and subtle breast pockets that I can tuck my phone or ski pass in. The inside breast pocket is another plus for keeping necessities close at hand when backpacking, etc. It also works great as a pillow when camping! I'm back today to purchase one in a second color because I love it so much. I wear it constantly other than on the coldest days (10F and below) when I'm going to be outside for an extended time. Then I'm forced to pull out my long black puffy coat just like everyone else. For reference, I'm in my mid-50s, 5'6" and the jacket hits just below my hip bones. The sleeves are long enough to cover my wrists with arms extended but don't sloppily go over my hands. I'm a size 4-6, usually a 4 and this coat is comfortably loose without being baggy. Buy it and I hope it works out just as great for you!

I live in Colorado Springs on the front range of the Rocky Mountains but I'm originally from the Adirondacks in upstate New York. The winters here are relatively mild but often windy. This coat is perfect for most winter days because it is thin and lightweight yet provides adequate warmth and wind protection. It is also perfect for traveling because it self packs into a pocket and takes up little space in my luggage. I plan to use as a back up ski jacket during milder winter weather. It has quickly become my favorite jacket.

This jacket is amazing! The jacket is warm, I can wear a T-shirt under it and be comfortable. It also blocks the wind from getting into the jacket. I was surprised how lightweight it was. Great for walks on beach.
True to size, slightly fitted, falls to about my hip.
Love the jacket.

I purchased the currant colored jacket in petite medium for visibility while walking the dog. It is great. I can be seen by drivers. It is lightweight and I add layers when needed.

The jacket is great. It is so lightweight feeling but still warm enough for running back and forth to the car and running errands. You don't mind leaving it on while in the car because it does not feel bulky at all but still warm when you step outside. I love the 2 breast pockets....1 one the outside and 1on the inside. Perfect to drop your cell phone in for quick retrieval and you can still hear your notifications easily. The only flaw...it is a little tight across the shoulders and upper arms. I have big upper arms so I have to tug a little in the armpit to get the sleeve up all the way. This is not a deal breaker but the coat would be perfect if this issue was addressed. I love the jacket and have not had any other size issues even when wearing several shirt layers underneath.

I am a big fan of this jacket and recently purchased a second color. It is lightweight and fits me perfectly. I live in a cold area so I do not wear this as my primary winter coat (not quite warm enough), however it gets a ton of use because it is absolutely perfect as a layer over my fleece items, especially when walking or exercising outdoors. It really is perfect for that and I love that there is no bulk. Also great to throw on for errands, running in and out of stores, and as a fall and spring jacket. It is a little pricey but I get so much use out of it that I'm ok with that.

I absolutely love this jacket. It's so nice to have a warm jacket that doesn't make me look bigger than I already am. It's a perfect fit and incredibly warm. I love the marine blue color. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the light blue zipper against the darker marine blue. I would have preferred something that blended in. I highly recommend this jacket!

The color I ordered was light blue. Because the lining is teal, the jacket appears to be more teal than blue. It worked out perfectly with my brown turtleneck and brown pants. The color is gorgeous. It is warm and the fit is as good as the 850 sweater. Since I have sensitive skin and is allergic to wool and some fleeces (e.g. LL Bean's),this jacket and the 850 are the only "sweaters" I wear year round (in air-conditioning rooms in the summer and in slightly heated rooms in the winter).

I just received my new coat and it fits perfectly. Since I have not worn it in cold and snowy weather, I do not know how it will perform. What I love about it is that the hood has a chin/neck protector to keep wind away and the coat is warm, yet very light weight. I don't feel like I am lugging around a heavy coat just to keep me warm.

I was thrilled my size was available in winter white and on sale! Having a light weight packable jacket is super versatile. Its a jacket to keep you warm in a Northeastern early Spring and Fall.
