The jacket is warm and comfortable, but I don't like wearing it. It is difficult to put on or take off because the flannel lining doesn't slip easily, and sticks to clothing. The lining is not attached inside at the shoulder, so it pulls out. Also it sticks out at the cuff. Another issue is that it gets small feathers on my clothing. This time I am disappointed with LL Bean.

Excellent fit, plus size. My only complaint is the sleeves. The lining is felt and it is not as smooth as a nylon lining, which would be smooth and not bulky.

This coat is very warm and is over all a nice coat. The blue color is nice. Some other reviews mentioned the lining not staying put when putting arms in, and I have noticed that as well. My biggest issue is the shedding of feathers from the top portion of the coat. My tops are usually covered in feathers, some of which are very fine, and look like they could be animal hair.

Jacket is comfortable, but it started losing filling right away. My sweaters are covered with down.

The sleeves fit narrow. The lining grabs your clothing as you put it on. It should have a 3rd pocket in the lining for keys or phone. A reversible zipper would be nice

This jacket is a great protective layer in the cold, and the hood is especially cozy for my neck. As others have said, the liner often has to be tucked back inside the cuffs. However, my biggest problem is that it is shedding a lot of down onto my clothing.

I loved this jacket, I liked the offset with the red detailing. The reason that I returned it was because of the red material inside the coat did not allow it to slide on and off easily. If It had been a red nylon material inside that didn't fight with my clothing, I would have kept it.

The fleeces liner in the top half of the coat sticks to your clothes making it really hard to put on. I loved it but could not get past that.

Gave it three stars because of the sleeves. I purchased the jacket because of the Bean reputation, quality of their products and good customer service. So even though I had read about the sleeve complaints, dove in anyway. And yes, they are a pain. I'm very cold natured, and layer...a lot, however, the lining does catch and does come out at the wrists even with just one long sleeved shirt. I have an 850 down fill jacket, but this one works ok (with layering) in 25+ temps., which we've experienced so far this year. Not too bulky. I'm around 5'6" and about 115 lbs and bought the medium. Also, have long arms; sleeves are fine. Tried the large but just too huge. My suggestion, fix the lining and you'll have a real winner.

It runs small. I am 5'5" and weight 132. There is no room for layers under this jacket. The lining in the body is not nylon but more like flannel and makes the jacket even tighter.

The jacket has a good fit and the color is "alive" blue. However, the down feathers are beginning to come out through the fabric and I don't think its a good idea to pull them out and it's hard to push them back in.

While I loved the look of the jacket and the weight, I had to return it as the arm pits are so small I could not wear it comfortably with most of my lighter sweaters or even a tee shirt. It was very hard to put on and extremely uncomfortable with a heavier sweater or loose fitting shirt under it. I have lots of size small clothes--shirts, vests, down filled vest, pants from llbean--all in size small. I am 5.5 and weigh 118 lbs.; I live near Annapolis MD. No I cannot recommend this particular jacket.

Not really sure the quality is all that better than other coats I have seen after this purchase? I am not saying there is anything wrong with the quality but I've seen comparable coats with the same quality for a lot less after I made this purchase.

Loved this coat so much but the fleece lining stuck to al my clothes and bunched up in the sleeves so I had yo return it. It fit great and wasn't too bulky - please take the fleece liner away llbean!

This jacket is super cute and fits to a T. I got the black one which I thought would look classy wether dressed up or down except for this coat seems to like to lose feathers! I sometimes feel like I just left the chicken coop when removing my coat. Being a black coat it shows every feather that sheds.
I do like the coat just wish I wasn't constantly picking feathers off my clothes. That why I gave it a 3 star rating.

I bought this as a gift. Warm and looks great but the lining makes it difficult for elderly recipient to put on. She could not wear over a flannel shirt.

Love the color, cut, and fit. Very unhappy that some stitching on the back panel is coming apart and we are losing the DownTek filling Love Bean products but this one may have slipped through QC.My daughter loves the jacket though!

The coat is warm. That's a good part. It ends there. This coat is not at all up to the usual Bean standards. It's almost as if they stripped out any thoughtfulness when designing it.

I don't know how you size items. I bought an xl so I could wear a heavy sweater under it. This jacket was smaller than theclargecI currently have. I have found weird sizing on a number of other items too.

I bought this jacket online and because it was on sale. The problem is that the sleeve lining extends beyond the end of the jacket sleeve EVERY time I put it on! It is possible to tuck it back and the jacket is fine otherwise but if I had tried it on in the store , I would not have purchased it. A disappointing experience in a long history of satisfaction with LL Bean's products.

This jacket is adequate except for being able to put it on easily. The fabric across the inside shoulders catches with sweaters and cotton shirts imaking it very difficult to put on. Because of this issue I returned the jacket. I also missed having an interior pocket. Other than that (Mrs. Lincoln!) the jacket was fine.

I was prepared to love this jacket but am very disappointed. While warm the fleece lining on the upper back makes it difficult to put on when wearing different types of sweaters and tops. The friction created by the fleece is annoying. I cannot recommend this jacket and will probably return it.

I bought this once, and had to return it because it was way too small. I've had other llbean coats, and this one definitely runs small. I ordered a larger one, and now I don't like how it flares out at my hips. It looks weird. It would be great if it had a bungee along the bottom, so you could make it tighter. I feel like all the cold will come right up the bottom of it.

Here are the things I like about this coat:
Style, hood, color, fit, warmth
Here is the one thing that irritates me EVERY time I put it on: the fleece lining in the shoulders and sleeves. If I wore a silk t-shirt every time I wore it, it wouldn't be a problem. But because I live in Colorado, I usually wear a sweater during the time I wear this coat. The fleece lining makes it very difficult to get into the coat. I struggle every time I wear it.
