It was not as warm as stated & it is very flat, not puffy at all.

I have several colorful, inexpensive vests and wanted a really thick, nice, black washable vest so of course, I looked to LL BEAN! This vest cost 3 times more than my wonderful, thick, well quilted "big box" store vests. Unfortunately, my inexpensive vests are perfect and the LL BEAN purchase was a waste of money. "Puffy", it definitely isn't and would only be comfortable for indoor wear. There isn't enough insulation and the inner fabric isn't even quilted.

This vest is shaped like a triangle. My chest and hips are basically the same size, and this was TIGHT on top and flared out like a tent at the bottom. For someone with that body shape, it might be perfect, but it was not for me. It is very lightweight.

This can barely keep me warm in my house.
LL Bean used to be quality, but I guess no more.

I have been buying LLBean products for years and this is the first one that I have been disappointed with. There is no insulation, no puff, and no way this would keep me warm on any mountain..not even in the summer!

I have yet to find something at L L Bean that fits me. I can't seem to figure out their sizing and it is so frustrating. If I get the size small enough to fit, the arms end up being several inches too short. A problem I've never run into before with other companies. I'm 5'7 and weigh 125 lbs. I ordered this vest in a small and it was huge on me. Not "loose". HUGE. I'm not going to bother exchanging it for another size this time. I'm now waiting on a pair of boots. Hopefully their shoes don't have the same issues that their clothes do.
