I ordered a Medium Petite and Large Petite in Cascade Blue to see which was better for layering. The large was way too big and the medium was big enough for layers. I liked the color but found it didn't offer any warmth, and was too thin and unflattering to justify the extremely high price so I sent them both back.

I wear XL in every Bean shirt I purchase. This jacket was uncomfortably tight. Also, I have not received a notice that my return was received by you.

Who designs a jacket with an air vent right next to a pocket. I lost my precious phone in a river because when I thought I was putting my phone in the pocket, I had instead put it through the vent zipper. This is the most bone headed design and I am paying very dearly for it.

I usually take a size large for outerwear to give myself a little extra room. This raincoat ran very small for a size large and it was very lightweight, I was disappointed and returned it, my opinion it's not worth $179

First the cons: It's not a proper rain coat. It does not repel water. A few weeks ago, I walked my dog in this coat in a decent rain, and that was the first time I noticed how wet I was when I took it off. After that I started noticing I was a little wet every time I wore it in even a drizzle. Today, I took my dog for a hike. It wasn't raining hard, but it was a cold, freezing rain, so once the sweatshirt I was wearing underneath got wet, I was cold. For the Pros: it's a nice coat, fits well, and it's durable. I wear it hiking often, and it holds up to whatever I might encounter: bramble patches, climbing awkwardly over a downed tree, falling, whatever. That said, for this price, it's absurd that it can't do the one thing it's supposed to: keep me dry.

This is very comfortable and lightweight so I got 2. It's ok for very light drizzle but in regular rain it soaks me through to my skin. I'm very disappointed for a $180 jacket. The primary functionality I need is to be waterproof - keeping me dry when it rains.

I bought this to replace an LLBEAN rain jacket that I have had and used for years. The new jacket fit well. I liked the style. But I did not like the feel on the material against my skin when I tried it in with a t-shirt. Not at all comfortable. I returned the jacket and continue to look for a jacket comparable to my old jacket.

It was long for a petite, and it didn't seem breathable. But the color was awesome!

I gave the raincoat 2 stars because it is well constructed and a pretty blue color. However, this is a very light weight raincoat that should be priced in the $50-60 range. $179 is outrageous for what this is. I expected a warm lining for the price.....no warm lining at all.

Washed it once, following the care instructions. Went for a 2-hr hike in the rain today and my sweatshirt I was wearing under this jacket got all wet. Cute baby blue color, but it is not waterproof

So I depend on LLBean for sturdy, durable clothing. And I have always found it to be so. I bought this raincoat because the lining in my old one (over 20 years old) finally wore out. I wore the new one out this week and the grippers never stayed closed. They opened with the slightest movement on my part. VERY DISAPPOINTING!! The color is beautiful, fit and feel are fine. Zipper seems ok- but I am worried now because the grippers (which I prefer to use) are useless.

Based on my LLBean raincoat, we ordered this one for my wife. It fits fine, but is made of very thin material and offers little protection other than as a light windbreaker. It also does not go far down below the waist. We wore hers and mine in rain yesterday, and she came home far wetter than me. It is not a good raincoat.

(1) There is very little stretch. BTW, 4-way stretch means horizontal (counts for 2, right and left) and vertical (counts for 2, up and down). I knew that before ordering, but doubt that many shoppers understand that term and perhaps think it includes diagonal stretching. Prepared as I was, I couldn't say this jacket has noticeable stretch that would make it superior to a traditional weave that has no stretch. (2) This is so thin that I could not think of a single time when I would choose to wear it. This might be a plus for someone who wants to pack or carry it, but for me, If it isn't raining, why wear a waterproof? If it is raining, I'd want some warmth. (3) For $180 it is way overpriced. It is nicely designed, obviously had a lot of labor to construct it, but is no where near worth that much money to me. Both my husband and I read the catalog listing, looked at the photos, looked at it online and both of us assumed it was a substantial parka. We were both very surprised by the disappointment and the $6.50 to return it.

I was walking 4 miles in a steady rain; not a downpour. The pocket became so wet the dog treats got soggy. My other pocket held a damp handkerchief. Not what I expected from LL Bean. I wasn't cold and my clothes did not get wet.

I love the fit of my new Women's Cresta Stretch Rain Jacket. Unfortunately, the jacket does not seem to repel water. I got completely soaked in a very short walk. Is anyone else having a similar problem? Are there other petite rain jackets that are more waterproof?

I wrote a review earlier, but am revising it. I am wet. Finally rained hard enough to test it. Went out in light shower to take dog for his long walk, and got caught in a downpour and I am soaked. So. Mad. For the price of this jacket,,,,LLBean you can do better

I bought this coat for a raincoat as advertised. I am very disappointed. It is Only waterproof in a sprinkle. Real rain soaks through in minutes. For $179.00 and the LLBEAN name I expected more. Do not buy this coat!

It is the third rain jacket I've purchased from Bean in size XL. The other two styles, an XL fit with plenty of room for a bulky sweatshirt or sweater underneath, but this jacket wouldn't even zip up over a thin short sleeved shirt. Plus, it is NOT waterproof!!!! Then, customer service gave me a hard time with my refund. I used a few dollars from a gift card and the bulk of the balance was paid with my LLBean credit card. When returned, they would NOT credit back to my original form(s) of payment! Store credit only. What's happening, LLBean? Not a happy customer lately.

This Cresta rain jacket is not waterproof! Also, the pockets are mesh, so accidentally leaving them unzipped will definitely allow water right in. And the sizing? Way too small! I wear an XL in every other Bean jacket and coat with plenty of room to spare, but this jacket felt two sizes too small. Lastly, the price is outrageous for the style and quality. I would price this thin, lightweight, not waterproof jacket at about $40.
