I am disappointed that the body of this jacket is too snug for me. If it had come in Women's sizes, I would order a 1x, but instead this XL jacket is going back. Usually a XL fits me. The jacket is very well made, nice fabric, good zippers, etc. but the body is too narrow.

Loved the look, design, weight, color selection, fabric etc of this rain jacket for spring. I really wanted the ice blue one and ordered an XL, hoping it would fit. It did fit, but too snugly for comfort so I regrettably returned it. Oh how I wish it was available in a size 1X which would have been perfect. Please LL Bean, make your quality rain jackets available in plus sizes as well with pretty soft spring colors, especially blues.

I love all things LL bean, that why I gave this jacket 4 stars. Now for the jacket... it's very comfortable and fits well, but it's not waterproof. My jacket may be the exception.. but if I'm outside for over 2 minutes in the rain, I'll get soaked. I love the style and fit, but I wish it repelled water better.

I live in the Pacific Northwest, where we got 12 inches of rain in January! It's all about LAYERS here. I have the Primaloft insulated Stowaway Jacket, and really like it. I'm looking for something for the warmer rains of April-June, Sept.-Oct.
I like SO many things about the Cresta rain jacket: Great adjustable hood. Front flap. Snaps on front flap. Deep, zipped pockets. Great rust orange color! Nicely designed cuffs. Shapely cut. Quiet fabric. A bit of stretch for ease of movement.
But these downfalls led to me returning the jacket:
The fabric is really THIN. No pocket lining, just thin mesh. No cell phone pocket anywhere. (Come on, guys, women keep asking for this feature!) Not enough room for layering: Snug with a fleece, not roomy enough for a down sweater. Not long enough to cover my butt (and I am REALLY SHORT!).
My dream LL Bean rain jacket would combine the best features of this jacket with the best ones of the Stowaway jacket with Gore-Tex: Fleece-lined pockets. Raglan shoulders. Slightly shorter sleeves. A lining to make the fabric less wimpy feeling and a bit warmer. Slightly bigger (traditional) cut for layering ease. Drawstring at waist. Then I would make it parka or 3/4 length so legs stay more dry and swap out the back-of-head toggle for Velcro for a less odd look.
Readers, take into consideration that I have a big chest, 42". The Cresta jacket accommodated the Girls pretty well, but too snugly with a sweater or fleece on.

This is a nice rain coat, and as the description says, it's their most versatile option. Please widen your size range for all coats. People in larger bodies deserve to have access to your best options as well.

While I like the jacket I wish it had a two way zipper at the bottom. I have found that with the rain jackets regardless of the company that they lack this feature. Yes this jacket stretches a little but not enough when sitting and it is longer so more stress is on the zipper.

LOVE the clay color. Love the fabric. I am somewhat average in my build but had to size up in order to have the zipper close the jacket with a sweater on. Wearing a tee shirt, my regular size was way too tight across my chest. I am 5'6 155 and have a 36" c cup chest. I normally wear a medium. I bought a large so that it would fit on top but the lower section balloons on me.

The H2OFF Rain Jacket is advertised as "waterproof-breathable" and "mesh-lined." I t does shed water but I did not find it to breathable at all. I don't think it's even accurate to refer to the lining as "mesh" like the lining in my husbands' older LL Bean rain jacket (which is breathable). I returned it and purcahsed a water-repellent wind breaker.

This jacket didn't fit well at all. It was cut more for a man than a woman. It was very straight, but my wife needs a slight A-shape cut because her shoulders are narrow compared to her hips. To get the waist to fit comfortably, the shoulders are too wide and the sleeves too long. The quality was also not what we expected. The outer shell seemed very light (translated "not durable") and the lining didn't feel as though it could breathe; not a good choice for active outerwear. Very disappointed in all but the return policy.

I guess disappointed in the cost to the product to what it is. No double zipper, no collar ( so hood rubs back of neck), pockets not lined. What liner is in pockets snags.
Have yet to have a downpour since bought it - so waterproofing has yet to be tried. Since have had MAJOR failures in products claiming to be waterproof - am seriously praying this will be!

I was hoping the material would be the same as the Tek material on my L.L. Bean jacket from a few years ago, but this is not the case. It is not soft and I don't like the feel. Also, the pockets come all the way up to your breasts, so they are very oddly placed and sized. Overall very disappointed for the price.

This jacket is great in so many ways - lightweight, packable, INTERIOR POCKET! (thank you Bean), slightly shaped and nice line (so long as everything remains zipped up tight), stretch for comfort, petite sizing,...BUT, there was one design flaw and it was a dealbreaker for me. The vents, which are necessary for this rain jacket as it has a plasticky interior that will get hot inside unless it has well-placed vents that can remain open at all times, are misplaced. They are weirdly situated along the sides of the jacket, well below the chest and adjacent to the tummy. When opened, they make the jacket pooch open at the sides and cause it to bulge around the belly - very unflattering to say the least, like you're wearing a little inner tube under the jacket around your waist (made my husband laugh out loud). Second, and most importantly, my tummy doesn't sweat. My upper chest and upper back sweat in a rain jacket, but there is no back vent or even pit vents. So it's going to be very hot. I am returning the jacket and looking elsewhere for a more functional and flattering design for now. Hopefully Bean will figure it out down the road.

I really hoped it would fit. It's the same size as my current coat, but perhaps more fitted? I ordered it for travel to Ireland and need to be able to have layers under it.

Not as waterproof as I had hoped. Lasted three hours prior to feeling damp. super comfy and breathable.

I would buy this jacket in a winter white. You would sell out quickly in that color.

Good looking jacket but I was hoping this would prove to be the breathable waterproof I have been searching for especially since it has the extra vents. But unfortunately, after a half hours walk it was just as steamy damp inside as all the other jackets out there at half the price. Dissapointing.

Bought this Cresta jacket this morning to replace very old goretex that died. Now I'm worried it may not be waterproof due to the number of reviews saying it soaks thru. Will have to wait for rain in CO to see what the noise is about. I'm hopeful. (Gave it 3 stars because couldn't post without stars or thumbs up/down.)
Fit is quite loose, 5'4", 125#, will likely wear layers under it.

Nice jacket, but not for me. I wanted to be able to wear it in warm weather with short sleeve tees, but from past experience with that type of lining I know it feels like plastic next to bare skin and can be cold, clammy or sticky. The jacket is long enough that a 2 way zipper would be a welcome addition and I prefer actual pit zips to core vents. The sea green color is lovely. I'm sorry I had to return it.

Lovely jacket. I would buy one, but they are not made in plus sizes. If you do carry plus sizes, please carry the light blue. I can't say enough how disappointing it is to love one of your shirts and find out it isn't available in all sizes. Or to click on that plus size and find out I am being charged more, for what, "extra fabric"? At that logic, an XS should be discounted more then, right? It is nearly insulting. Please pave the way for companies to do better.

Nice jacket. Like the length, though a bit long from shoulder to hip. And a bit snug in the hips. Don't think it would work with a mid weight layer. Will be returning.

The color is a little too "loud" for me, and also light, it will show dirt very quickly! Overall, I like the pockets, they're huge! I don't like the visor part, it seems as if it would make rain actually drip in your face because it's very small and not all that stiff, it sags down too much. But the adjustments for the hood are amazing. The zips for ventilation are also huge which is nice. My biggest issue though, is that the zip is a one-way zipper, so that limits movement, and although it's long, it rides up pretty badly when moving around. I specifically size up and get an XL in rain jackets to be able to layer puff vests/coats underneath when skiing or hiking in the winter weather and this would just be really hard to be active in because the hood is cheap and awkward and the bottom needs to be constantly adjusted, especially when wearing slippery ski pants. So overall, it's nice if you're using it for just the occasional rain, but it won't work well for my purposes as a rain jacket/softshell layer for winter, so I'm returning. Beans - please consider adding a two-way zip and maybe even hip snaps on longer coats for better activewear coats! And also better colors, please! We need less black, purple, and bright blues and more of the lovely greens you used to have back in the 90s and 2000s!

I only wore it once so far. I would like it to be longer. I wore it on a zodiac and I was dry from the splashes. I'd have to wear it more to be able to rate it better.

This jacket was my favorite out of all I tried on at the store. Loved the stretch and the non crinkly fabric. However, did not pull the trigger on buying as wish it was mid thigh length or longer for those torrential rainy days. While some may prefer the pastel color offerings, my preference would be for other more saturated hues. Will keep my eye out for an updated spring version!

I like the jacket but I should have splurged for the next level one because I find it flimsy. I will keep it because I had to wear it the day I bought it since it was a rainy day. It is ok as a windbreaker.

This jacket is much lighter than I expected. For the price, I expected a heavier weight. I like the color and cut but wish it was more substantial. I don't think that the description in the catalog is adequate.
