Love the color and the light weight. Am usually a 12-14. Bought the XL women's as I like a lot of room. It does run slightly small, fits more like a large would. It is not wind proof so too one star off. Good for non-windy days. Good for underbelly for a medium weight coat. Overall i recommend this jacket.

This is a terrific jacket, but I had to give it only four stars because of the size. It fits too big. I am a petite XS, how much farther down can I go? LLBeans, petite XS is my perfect fit, I'm 4"10" at 100lbs; but this jacket is too big! On the other hand it is nice looking well fitted, sleek and light. AND exceptionally warm, for all the lightness. I live in southern MO, weather is cold and damp, continental weather patterns, cold in winter. I think they should look at proper sizing and make a red one and I'll buy another! I bought it on sale, but would pay the full price it is that good!

Super comfortable, more of a jacket than a sweater and runs big, if you want a more sweater like fit, size down! Will be great to pack of traveling

Very warm and lightweight. I use this as a layer under my ski coat which is just a shell and it has let me very warm during the cold Vermont ski days this season. The fit is not as flattering as it could be but doesn't matter for me as I wear it underneath.

I bought this down sweater to wear under my down jacket for the cold winter days, I am toasty. I am always a small, but had to return this for an XS. I just wish that LLBean would offer some more neutral colors, like tan, cream (they do offer gray and black).

This jacket runs large. I normally wear a size small, size 6 in clothing. This jacket was way too large even with a sweater underneath. I had to return for a size smaller. I have noticed LLBean's clothing runs large and even with measuring by the clothing charts offered on the website it wasn't accurate to what I needed. I've had to return 2 orders now......

I will keep this jacket but I was disappointed to discover that the lining of the muted purple is navy; hence, this is not a 5-star rating.

I ordered the light rosewood and will be exchanging it for a different color. The color is more drab than shown in the picture. It's pretty ugly. I'm 5'3", 110 lb and the xs petite fits pretty good. It plenty roomy, verging on too big with a base layer and fleece vest underneath. The arm length is just right. it is very lightweight as a down sweater should be.

It's warm. But feathers keep falling out. It's a bummer because it doesn't happen to my husbands ultralight .

I'm very happy I purchased the Ultralight 850 Down Sweater Jacket. The jacket fits great, it's very comfortable, I've received many compliments when I wear it. I'll definitely need a warmer coat on a cold winter day, but I know I'll get a lot of use out of my new jacket.

This is a great jacket, weightless warmth. The only complaint I have is that the sleeves are a bit too long. But overall a thumbs up!

It is a light weight jacket, not super warm but perfect for fall or spring.

I love this for warmer weather with a thermal underwear and a polartec top. When it gets colder, I add a down vest on the outside. I hike and ride my horse in an indoor arena. I love the look. Can't imagine wearing it below +25 or so unless with another garment over it.

It's a nice jacket, and I'll keep it, but I was very, very disappointed to find that, unlike the original version (which i also own), it has only one interior pocket instead of 2. The thing that distinguished it from other lightweight puffies, and made it so valuable to me, was having one zip pocket for the phone, and a separate one for keys and wallet--so unzipping one didn't risk other contents falling out. I was delighted with the original design--I thought: "Aha! At last a designer understands how much women need zip pockets in their clothing." But alas....it is gone in the new design. Why, why, why?

I bought this to replace the L.L.Bean "sweater" I had for several years and then lost. The name "sweater" seemed weird for a down jacket, but was nice a lightweight. They called this one a sweater-jacket and it was heavier than my original one. I was disappointed that it wasn't lighter because the other one hadbeen a good fall transition jacket. This one isn't much lighter that my Bean down jacket. But aside from that it is great. It's better looking that the lighter one was and I appreciate the fact they have it in petite. I finally have a jacket that has sleeves that don't go halfway down my hand. The closer stitching keeps it from making me look fat.

We are trying to get a new 850 Down Sweater, and using the size chart, ordered a womens small initially and it was far too large. We returned it, and ordered the Petite after checking the very worn size on my current sweater from 2015. I wear that one all the time and it's getting worn out. This down sweater came and was still a bit long and the sleeves were long. The one thing I don't want is longer sleeves. If I could wash it and shrink it just a little I'd be delighted, but I'm afraid not. So we returned this one too. The Size charts don't leave me any choice but to try a Childs 650 Down Sweater - Keeping my fingers crossed.

Nice mid weight for days in the 35-45 degree range. It runs slightly small. Needs a breast pocket that fits a modern smart phone.

The jacket is nice but the Rosewood color is darker then it looked online. I expected a rose gold/pink color but it is more of a mauve color. Still deciding if I will keep it, as I really wanted a softer pink color (the color online looked beautiful). Some may prefer the darker pink mauve though.

This is a beautiful color and I like the lines because they're not just straight BUT why is XXS not available in Petite? It would stand to reason that some petite women need XXS. Bean's makes it in Regular XXS. ??? It fits pretty well through the body but just a little too long on my frame. I tried the XS Petite but that was definitely too big through the body. So I guess I'm stuck with wearing the longer version.

I purchased a couple of Ultralight Down sweaters in Navy and Black. Love the jackets. They are light weight and warm enough for winter's in the PNW. I thought it was time to purchase another Down Sweater in a different color so I ordered the Shadow Green Pet. S. I did not like the color. It looks more grey than green and the new styling with wider 'bell' shaped hips is unflattering for petites. I agree with other posters that the bottom of the jacket now flares out in an unflattering way. Bean please bring back the old hem line!
