Fits well, is comfortable; wish the LLBean label embroidery was in a more subtle color.

Bought this jacket/sweater in the new light green. Love the color and fit but can see the dark part of the down through the fabric. Would probably be fine in a dark color

Great coat, lightweight and good fitting. The neck is a bit larger than other coats I've had but is not an issue. Weather has not gotten as cold yet here in Minnesota to see how it stands up to the cold Have not washed it yet either. Would recommend it to anyone

I like it because it is light. It is warm if you wear it with a shell to block the wind. It is really a sweater as the name implies not a jacket.

Love the Down Sweater and wear it all Winter. This is my third one. Sorry to see the elimination of the small pocket that used to be on the outside upper left side. It was very useful and didn't require unzipping the main zipper to reach small objects like your parking stub

This jacket is light as a feather and warm! I ordered a size XL only because there is NO, 1X. It fits snug but I kept it. I won't be able to wear sweaters under this coat. L.L.Bean, please make X sizing available for us busty woman?

I like everything except the white stitching advertising the maker on the front.

Can't give 5 stars YET. Haven't worn it in cool weather. Bought in anticipation of coming temperatures. Have several friends who wear this skiing, rock climbing, ice climbing and golfing. Love the fabric. Excellent fit and comfort!

Its just the sweater, not warm for in between winter, summer, fall and winter

I'm 5'7", purchased size Small... Sleeve length was perfect for my long arms but the body length felt too long making the jacket a little snug at the hips (39" with jeans on). I might try a Petite Small if the sleeve length isn't too short? I returned this one...

Love the light purple color. Be warned, the inside contrasting color is navy, not black. I live in these down sweaters so decided to ignore that slight oddity when wearing black pants. The fit has changed from prior versions. I am 5'3" and 140 and the medium petite was 3 inches longer than the one I bought a couple of years ago. Exchanged for a small which is much better albeit close fitting in sleeves.

Very lightweight jacket but warm enough for 30 degree temps with a sweater under it. Pockets that zip closed are a plus. I've received compliments on the light purple color. Seems to run a bit large. Withheld one star because a vertical crease from the shoulder down the front from being folded prior to purchase won't come out even after being washed & dried according to instructions.

This is my first time purchasing a puffy coat from LLBean. I have worn a competitors puffy jacket for the past seven years in black. Although the coat is warm and I really like the shade of blue the coat is too boxy. I prefer a bit more style in the shaping of the coat to be more professional on the days I go business and more flattering on my casual days.

Lightweight and great color -- the fit is a little wonky. But I will wear it as I am not trying to impress anyone when I have it on. I mostly like to wear it when running errands so I don't want a heavy jacket as I go in and out of the cold into shops and restaurants that are heated.

Pocket zipper broke and L.L. Bean won't repair or replace. BUMMED!

Great versatile jacket. Not bulky, has inside chest pocket. and two outer pockets. Dries quickly. Also, it snags I found wearing it to cut blackberry vines.

I have another 850 "shirt" that keeps me warm as toast just wearing a long-sleeved tee shirt underneath. This down sweater does not.

It's OK. The "night" color (navy blue) is darker than in the online photo. Three problems with it: 1) It should be 2 or 3" longer to cover tunics and longer tops. 2) The embroidered Bean's logo on front and back is bright white against dark blue-- not exactly subtle. I'd rather not be a walking billboard advertisement; dark blue embroidery against dark blue jacket fabric would be much nicer. 3) The zipper color is not well matched to the jacket fabric.

This jacket is wonderful in every way-light, warm, sturdy, attractive and well-fitting. I wish only that it had a two way zipper to keep it from rolling at the bottom when I sit.

Great fit, light, warm, would be nice for layering and travel. But too short, and I'm not crazy about any of the colors. I prefer bold colors, like red, orange, royal blue, turquoise... So, to me, its too expensive for what is offered

Fit me better than most of LLBean clothes! Got a petite large. I'm 5'1" and 150lb. No stores near me so had to order from pics on line. Customer service was very helpful. Super lightweight but still warm. Perfect for travel! Still cringe at the price but if it lasts well, I'll get over it.

It turns out the medium actually was a better fit than the large. It is bigger than I expected. Hate to do another return, but I think I should.

Nice jacket for chilly mornings. The only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is the length. I'm 5'3 and it falls below my hips. Wish it were a tad shorter.

This is the second ultralight 850 Down Sweater and I love it, but miss the zipper outside pocket on the chest for storing my cell phone.

The weight of this jacket is excellent. I loved this jacket. It seemed warm and breathable--and not too hot. Ultimately, however, the cut of the sleeves--that diagonal line up to the neckline--made the arms too tight for me in a Small Size, and the Medium Size was much too large for me. But I hope in the future there will be a different sleeve-cut on a down jacket as light and packable as this one is. I'm 5'6'' and 128 lbs., if that helps anyone.
