For years, I have trusted LL Bean, they consistently provide good products. So I was not surprised with this coat, it is comfortable, fits perfectly, and has all the pockets in the right places. I also have received several compliments. I bought it because it is light weight but warm and I can stuff it in my pack when traveling in planes because it is not bulky. Yet, it is perfect for walking the dog.

I surprised My wife with the jacket and loved it. She doesnt like heavy coats this is light weight but she said it is very warm.

Thanks LLBean for making this jacket in plus sizes! It fits great, and is really warm (wore yesterday morning in 17 degrees and was toasty warm). Love the technical details - 850 treated down, ripstop shell of recycled poly, and relatively light weight - 1x is a hair over 13 ounces on my scale. I'll be using this jacket on shoulder season backpacking trips and around town this winter. Love this jacket!

The color was a major eye catcher. Perfect fit and you would not believe the comfort. Hello to warmth and goodbye to the breeze. Easily breathable and light weight. Best money spent on a jacket ever.

I really wanted this jacket in dusk blue, size medium, but they were sold out online and in my local store. The fantastic folks at LLBean found one in the Freeport store, so I bought it over the phone and it was delivered in two days! It fits great, is very lightweight and warm. I often get compliments on the color.

I'd normally order petite, but ordered this in regular for the extra length, and it's perfect! I can still wear a layer underneath if need be, and it doesn't look bulky. I love the adjustable bottom, and the adjustable hood!

I moved to Michigan from the south and knew I was in dire need of a great winter jacket. I was surprised it was so thin and couldn't understand how it would be warm but it's incredible. I think at the coldest so far, it's been 4 degrees and I've worn this jacket over a short sleeve t shirt and I'm warm and not at all affected by the cold. The fit is true to size and it's a very nice looking jacket. A definite must buy!

I'm SO pleased with my new beautiful blue ultralight 850 jacket. Quality and workmanship are the best. Exceptionally comfortable. I like how it "moves with me"... no binding or pulling. Where I live we have long, cold and WINDY winters --and this Ultralight jacket keeps me WARM. Just about the best jacket that I own in terms of comfort, warmth, 'breathability', and light weight. Definitely my 'favorite'!

I ordered this coat to replace my old down coat and I am really pleased with the fit and quality. It is very warm for being so light and it is easy to move around in. I am on the taller side and I like that the sleeves are long enough that they don't ride up on my wrists when I raise my arms. The juniper color is nice and it looks as I was expecting based on the photos.

I bought this jacket after getting a Columbia jacket on sale. It was a great deal, but I never liked the way it felt (dug into my chin if hood wasn't up). This jacket is much softer and very comfortable. I originally bought a medium and switched to a small. The small fits pretty well. Very happy with the jacket.

This jacket will be my favorite winter jacket from now on ! It fits perfectly, is warm, and very light, what is not to like. I am 80 years old, so with L.L.Bean's quality it will last me for the rest of my life !! I am even grabbing for it when the weather isn't quite cold enough, because it is so light weight. I love it.

I thought I had received the wrong jacket because it is so lightweight. It keeps me warm at 30 plus degrees. The icy-blue color is beautiful.

SIZE DOWN! I originally ordered my usual size, XS, and was swimming in it. I exchanged for an XXS and it fits perfectly. Extra light for the warmth it packs, great quality, and flattering fit with a slightly longer back. It's roomy enough to wear a fleece or heavy sweater underneath, if needed, but I've also thrown it on over a thinner layer and haven't felt drafty. I don't know why I waited so long to buy this, it's a really great jacket at a reasonable price point!

How could a jacket that's so light still be warm enough for Michigan winters? Somehow it is! I bought a size Petite Large and it's plenty roomy....just right I think. Also love the "spruce" color.

I love this coat!! It fits, the red is gorgeous and it kept this Texan warm in Denver snow and wind;plus it was lightweight to pack.

This is hands down the warmest jacket I have ever owned! I love how light it is - not bulky at all! The fit is also true to size. I'll be purchasing one for each of my kids and husband!

When I first put this jacket on I was skeptical about how warm I would be because it is so light it feels like you are not even wearing a jacket. Shockingly, I was super toasty warm and the hood fit nicely around my face when the wind kicked up. Would absolutely recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a warm winter coat that does not restrict your mobility.

I order a petite. In the past I've gone with XL. I live in Alaska and wear layers. This time the jacket ran bigger and longer--change of style with raglan sleeve and longer cut. I exchanged my usual XL for a petite L. Now the fit is perfect. Warm cozy. Lots of compliments! A fellow at the coffee shop tried mine on and ordered his on the spot, in a men's size of course. Though he looked pretty cute in the women's petite. Oh. I like the color. Mine is the bluish green.

I am in love with this jacket. It's very warm and lightweight, but my favorite part is the length. It's seems a couple inches longer than similar jackets. That little extra length makes it more flattering, and makes it much warmer than shorter jackets. I purchased the Carbon Navy color and really like how the contrasting zipper 'pops'.

This is my third 850 down jacket. I purchased the earlier jackets two years ago and have worn them constantly during our cool and wet pacific northwest winters. Two jackets should have been enough! :) However, I wanted a brightly colored visible jacket for winter walks. The "dark red" hooded jacket is perfect! It is definitely not dark red, but a bright visible red. I accent with a black wool scarf , a pom pom wool hat, and black gloves. I'm between a medium and a large, but prefer the large for layering with a vest if it is super cold. I like the lightweight cloudlike warmth - very cozy!

I currently attend college in Maine and this jacket has been a life saver while walking to class this winter! The 850 down insulation keeps you warm and comfortable while outside in the Maine winters. High recommend this if you are looking for a simple, very warm jacket.

I have not warn it yet, will do so over the Holidays when I'm in CO
