This down jacket is wonderful. I bought it for all around use. It is best suited for moderately cold weather. Very nicely made and light weight.

This has become my favorite jacket! It's light weight so I can fold it and stash it in my bag and when I need it it's perfectly beautiful. I have gotten so many compliments about it. It has a hood that covers my head and hair and looks very nice on me. The size and length are also the right medium size. I'm 5'4" tall and 150 lbs. and it fits perfectly well and contours my shape to give me a good figure. It's also very warm when the temperatures are in the teens. I highly recommend this jacket!

I love my Ultralight 850 Down Hooded jacket! I purchased it in November 2021, and have gotten so much use out of it. It keeps me plenty warm. I have worn it in 17 deg weather so far, in snow, and rain, and it was perfect. So light and comfortable. I do wish it came in the Deep Marine Blue. Now I am going to purchase the same jacket without hood for those cooler spring and fall days. I highly recommend this jacket!

Lightweight but very warm. The contrasting color of the zipper gives it an updated look. I like how you can cinch the hood really tight around your head so it stays put in windy weather. So thankful that LL Bean makes petite sizes (unlike other big outdoor wear retailers). I'm 5'2" and 135 lbs. The sleeve length is perfect and it's roomy enough for a bulky layer, but I haven't needed one because the jacket is very warm. Very pleased with my purchase.

Old ski jacket was so thick, but this one is lightweight. Absolutely love it.

This jacket is practically perfect in every way! It's warm, looks GREAT on me, and has a comfortable fit. I wish it came in "Tall" sizes, as I could use another 1" in the sleeves (I'm 6' tall).

Exactly right..fit, style,color great. Replacing same jacket 8 years later, different color. Worn every cool/cold day through 3 years of college in New England, then as winter coat for 5 years after...old one just recently got a couple of puncture holes (we think the kittie was kneading) that need some super glue to keep down inside. Hesitant to wash and dry as a result, so sprung for a new one.

Love this jacket! Lightweight, but it keeps you warm and toasty. tucks away in a small space for travel. Love it so much,I bought my sister one!

This jacket is awesome! It is light yet really warm and comfy without being bulky. I live in the northeast with tough snow storms and bone chilling lake wind and the jacket has protected me well. It is great for outdoor activities and packs into its own little pocket...brilliant design! I have received compliments on the color and fit. I generally wear a Medium, but bought a Large to accommodate an additional layer, if needed.

I love these jackets, it's my second one. I refer to it as my "magic coat" because its keeps me warmer than any coat I've ever owned in the cold PA winters and equally cold Maine springs. It fits nicely and keeps me warm without being bulky. It regulates my body temp well, too. I can wear it in the car comfortably for hours without overheating then go for a walk in 20 degree weather.

It is very light to wear and still keeps you warm no matter how cold it gets outside. This jacket is a keeper.

It breaks the wind. The collar covers my neck when zipped to the top.

I am in love with this jacket! I run cold normally and this jacket solves that problem. I normally wear a medium in most LL Bean items but decided on a large for layering purposes. I might have opted for a medium had I been able to try it on in person (online purchase as I live in the Pacific NW). LL Bean, please open a store in Portland, Oregon. Pretty please ;)

I've been a loyal wearer of the 850 jacket for 7 years. After many well-worn years, it was time to upgrade my original. This one is even better! The fit got nicer and it's even warmer now. I use it every day for regular wear and for longer winter hikes; you can't find a better jacket.

My entire life I have hated wearing coats due to their bulk. I can't believe I finally have a coat I LOVE that keeps me warm and doesn't weigh me down or make me feel like the Michelin Man looks. I never hesitate to put this coat on and I never regret wearing it - it's nice to be comfortable and warm. Finally.

This petite down coat is so light, warm, wind proof and water resistant! I love the color and have gotten so many compliments on it! Very comfortable so happy to have gotten this on sale! I really didn't need another coat LOL! But it has been my go to and will for many seasons to come! :-)

Excellent jacket for the cold windy snowing days in Chicago. I am a California person and went to Chicago earluer tbis month. I dont have a needs for a downjackets here.ifpund this one and fell in love with it. Kept me very warm while walking in the heavy snow yet very light in weight and was able to smash it in my back pack for my trip home

I reviewed this jacket in November 2021 after just having purchased it a few weeks before. Well, the winter is winding down, and this jacket has handled our zero (and below) temps like a dream! Lightweight, warm, stylish - what more could you ask for? I liked it so much, I bought the slightly longer coat, for dressier occasions (and yes, it is just as warm)! No need to wear 4 or 5 layers with this jacket, it is that warm! And very light on your shoulders! I just LOVE this jacket!

This is a very warm, light weight down jacket, perfect for layering when doing active outdoor activities in central NY winters. I was comfortable in the mid 20's wearing it over a good thick sweater. Highly wind resistant . I am 5 ft 6", 140lbs. I chose a large over my normal medium to allow for layering and because the sleeves on the medium were a bit tight. A good value overall. Very pleased.

I am loving this jacket. It's thick but not to puffy. The sleeves are long enough for me which is rare and the color or beautiful.
