A friend recommended this jacket highly. Based on the LL Bean size chart, at first I ordered the Petite Small. That was enormous. So I took a gamble and exchanged it for the Petite XS. That size, too, looks enormous, especially in the shoulders and under the arms, even when you consider the possibility of wearing a sweater under it. Even when I adjusted the waist, it looked like I was wearing a sack. I'm not ready to trade function for zero form, so I am sending it back. Now I have wasted extra shipping and also the two weeks it took for the second one to come. I will not be ordering any petite clothing from LL Bean again.

This coat is a very thin nylon and does not look at all as robust as it does online. I never would have paid $129 for something as cheap looking and as flimsy as this is. It most definitely does not look like it would keep a raindrop off your body, but even if it would, you would need layers underneath it to give you any warmth. I'm furious this was so misrepresented and that I have already thrown away the packaging and slip. When I opened this, my thought was I must have bought this on sale for a summer rain. I didn't remember buying this until I looked up my purchases. I'm livid,

I am very dissapointed in this product. The wrist gatherings were so tight and the material so ridgid. It could not be worn comfortably.
The whole jacket felt tight and not designed for movement.
I have two other rain garments from you and love them although they are showing age, hence I was looking to swap with new one.
I will be returning the jacket as soon as things open up and I feel safe traveling to store.

I needed a rain coat and I saw this one on your website. It's a very thin material with no lining and when it's a cold rain like you get at this time of year in the Northeast you need to wear layers, otherwise you freeze. I purchased a large specifically so that I could wear layers under it and I still freeze. I don't think it is worth the $80.00 that I paid for it.

Please bring back the knee length stowaway coat and insulated coat for women. Those items were classic, durable, waterproof, windproof, warm, breathable, lined, lightweight, and basically perfect. Nothing you've offered since has come close. This is yet another poor substitute - loud, hot, feels like plastic, prominent logo.

I just got this raincoat today and have been looking forward to having a go-with-everything black coat. However, I was instantly turned off by the prominent logo on the left front and never tried it on. I marked "true to size" because I had to click something to submit the review, but I really have no idea how it fits. It's still in the sealed plastic bag it came in, and it's going back tomorrow. There is only one other raincoat I would have considered, the Meridian, but it apparently has a cranky zipper. I've already had to deal with quite a few of those. No thanks.
