Undecided on this rain coat .length is ok. Cut is not. I like a fuller cut. Not fitted. Dislike velcro.. no room to add a layer underneath. Will probably return.

This jacket has lots of promise, however it seemed to be made in a "straight cut" making it too tight around the hips, and impossible to sit in while zipped. This is a "women's" item folks, come on! The sleeves were already long, so I did not choose to order a Large.

Very disappointed that the LLBean LOGO is so prominently displayed. The coat is nice but the advertising is a real turn-off. Also not sure how waterproof the coat really is. Worked fine in a light rain but fabric was saturated.

I needed to replace my H2Off raincoat I've had for 10 years, and since LL Bean does not offer the mesh lined version in plus sizes I ordered this one. I tried the regular size XL in the store and while it fit I wanted a little extra room for layering. So I ordered the plus size 1X online. It fits exactly like the XL!!!!!!! And the arms in the 1X may even be a bit more snug than the XL. I wish I had looked at the size charts prior to ordering because according to the charts the XL and 1X are basically the same size. How can that be? I don't think it's unreasonable to assume if the XL doesn't fit the next size up should be 1X. I now ordered the 2X and hope it works. Because I think this will be a perfect raincoat for me.

This was to replace my Trail Model Raincoat from a few years ago; the changes to the style are not pluses. Those of us over 50 don't need a "waist" added to what was a very comfortable coat. The bit of elastic in the sleeve (cuff) is no more so cinching the velcro makes a big gap --- not attractive. The hood on my old one disintegrated and is held together with clear packing tape. Still a much better coat than the new design -- has same kind of hood (that didn't change!) so I will be returning. I wanted to like it, but don't.

Bought this jacket from LLBean 3 years ago. Zipper was very difficult to zip up and finally failed. I like the length but not the quality.

I returned the rain coat because the upper arm area of the sleeves on the coat were smaller than the cuff of the sleeves.

The zipper is so hard to make work! Don't have the patience. Shouldn't have to have the patience! So sorry that zipper is the only reason I am returning.

I don't like the feel of the material. The fit is small for size. I'm disappointed and don't really know what I'm going to do about it right now.

Can't really specify. Just uncomfortable. Doesn't fit right. Have other LL Bean jacket, coats--no problem. This one didn't come up to the LL Bean standard I've come to expect.

They changed the original trail model rain coat that did NOT have a cinched waist. It was swingy, very cute and was easy to wear a lightweight fleece jacket beneath it for travel. This one makes it hard to wear thicker layers under it as then the waist looks tight.

I have not had the chance to verify how waterproof the raincoat performs. I will contact you if it is not waterproof. But I was surprised, the quality of the raincoat does not justify the high price. I normally order petite. But I ordered a medium regular. The coat has a fitted cut. So you need to verify the size. I have purchased from LL Bean in the past and never had issue with quality or pricing. So jury is still out. The reason for 2 stars is the price and quality.

Mixed opinion Third time I bought the rain jacket over the years. This time the size is not the same and will have to wait four months before the next size available . Also the inside peals off but I still like the jacket.

I returned the XXL because the sleeves were significantly too tight on this one. This was not the case with a similar LL Bean raincoat purchased previously.

It's not waterproof! I ordered this for an upcoming vacation where I expected to have rainy days. I tried it for about 3 mins. in a light rain outside my house & my arms got wet.

Good idea, but the lining inside this coat and every other "Trail Model" product starts to peel, usually within a year. This has been noted repeatedly to LL Bean, but never an adequate fix by them. Disappointing...

I returned this jacket with a defective waist cinch cord. It became detached, or maybe just was never attached at the waist on one side. The other side was fine. For the price I expect better quality and quality control. Other than that the material is very thin, so in cold weather you definitely need layers. The zipper did not operate easily, I had to wrestle with it to get it started and it zips like a man's jacket, so that threw me for a loop, it was awkward. It kept the water out, I was able to wear it once to see if I wanted to replace it with one that was hopefully not broken.

This coat was decent except for a few points: a. The color choices. It comes in a navy blue and black only. Those colors are both blah and expected and women need some color! Give us some color choices please.. 2. It is super crunchy and stiff to wear. So much that it is bothersome wearing it. Went back to the store as a return.

I couldn't believe how the raincoats I ordered were so different. I still have one I bought in 2012, which I have enjoyed wearing and was better looking and had a zip-in and out partial flannel lining & removable hood. I decided to order a new coat replacement which was different style, heavier fabric, but the hip area was too clingy and narrow. Love the new colors and attached hood and weight of new fabric. I sent this coat back and just received the replacement coat in M/P a few days ago. I was unpleasantly surprised & very disappointed. The fabric on the second coat was like a piece of tissue paper, no lining, and velcro tabs replacing the snaps and hangs like a empty sack of potatoes! I've been a fan of LL Bean, buying clothes, shoes, camping supplies, etc., for myself and my husband and children, since 1976, and love everything I've bought. I'm sending this coat back and will try to find another that will be a little less expensive, more substantial, with snaps & zipper that works. I will continue to buy from LL Bean because I still love your merchandise, except for your raincoats!

I bought this raincoat for a recent trip to England. The first time I wore it in the rain, I got soaked through and my shirt underneath was soaked as well. I was depending on having a waterproof raincoat as we spent a lot of time outdoors walking. But the rain just soaked straight through the fabric. I am returning it now that I am back in the U.S.

I have been trying to replace a raincoat that I bought from LL Bean about a decade ago. I thought this was it, since the length was right, but it has no lining and was tight. Just not what I expected.

I have had this raincoat for a while and whenever I take it off, I feel wet, especially my arms. I figured I was lifting my arms and water was getting in. But, I just got back from taking a walk in the rain and my back is soaked. The inside of the raincoat has water on it. My husband has an LL Bean raincoat and loves it. I'm going to have to keep looking.

Other reviewers said this raincoat could be snug so I ordered Large. Usually a medium fits me in LL Bean jackets. In the Large the sleeves were about 2 inches too long and the hips were very tight, even with only a t shirt underneath. Sorry to have to return it.

I knew that I was ordering the less expensive raincoat, but I thought it would be more substantial than it is. As for the size, I can wear a petite large in other clothes, but this coat is tight, and long for a "petite." I will be returning it.
