I love everything about this coat, except the lining flakes off after a few years. It is the perfect length, keeps you dry, great pockets and looks nice. BUT the white lining flakes off, starting at the seams after a few years of use. I will probably just keep buying new ones, but at this price, it should last longer.

Disappointed in the "fitted" style. No "relaxed fit" version like old style.

Love this coat but is too long on me. Needs to be 2 or 3 inches shorter to look right.

Not happy with this more fitted style, I was looking for a rain jacket that I could layer sweaters or a down vest underneath, depending on how cold it is. It is fine as a single layer rain jacket, but even going up a size did not work for my needs.

Ditch the velcro use snaps the rain coat other than the Velcro is acceptable a bit hard to zip up because of the Velcro but protects well from the rain

I love everything about this coat except one thing; the Velcro flap fasteners over the zippers and on the sleeves. I just returned from Ireland and the coat ruined two of my sweaters. When I was carrying the coat, the Velcro would attach to my sweaters and my leggings leaving pulling the material. I would return if I could.

I have only one complaint about the Trail Model Rain Coat for Women: the zipper is difficult to get seated so I can raise it and then difficult to unseat to lower it so the coat is completely open. It takes a bunch of jiggling and pushing and shoving until it's ready to go. Otherwise, the coat fits well, the Velcro tabs work well, the length of this petite coat is good for me (I'm 5'2"), and the hood is easy to slip on and off.
So, the only complaint is that, for the price, the zipper should work more easily. I'm glad it's a two-way zipper; helpful when I want to open the lowest portion of the coat to step up onto a bus, sit down, access my pants pocket, etc.

Replaces similar model that wore out. Ordered same size but fit is not same-almost too tight but if I go up a size the arms will be way too long. Haven't decided if keeping

Always buy the size Womens L Reg when I purchase from LL Bean. The Trail Model Rain Coat
seemed a bit snug in the hip area. I have purchased, over the years three or four raincoats
from LL Bean. I wear them year-round and was concerned that some of my sweaters and sweatshirts would not fit into that coat. So, I bought a shorter model and love it. Shopping LL Bean is a joy.

Fit is smaller than when I last bought this rain coat. Needed to size up.

I wanted to like this coat, especially after trying so many raincoats. It does fit really well and is nice and lightweight, but the hood doesn't stay cinched on its own and will blow off in even a slight wind. I have to hold it closed (not always possible or practical on a dog walk where I need my hands). It's possible my head is too small? For that reason, I'll sadly be returning.

I wore this nice longer raincoat daily for two weeks in Scotland (it rained), and every time I went to zip it, I struggled. Mind you it worked, but not without effort. Exchanging and will see what happens. Too bad it's a great coat.

I had a light blue/aqua raincoat before which I liked. It wore out.
Living in Florida I need one to carry with me. Sadly, navy is too
hot and I like light colors. I was hoping to get a lighter color.
Oh well, it will keep me dry.

Like the other two coats I ordered,I found these to be too straight and not contoured to fit a woman's shape. Hard to sit down, etc.

The sleeves are too long, if you need a large size but you are not a tall person.

I have mixed feelings about my rain coat so far. The zipper is not easy to use, hard to get it set correctly in the 2 way zipper. I do like the fact it comes to my knees , but I haven't found a way to tighten the hood and it will blow off in the wind. Haven't had it on in a soaking rain yet so I don't know how waterproof it is.

Light weight and probably good for packing light, but a little frumpy looking and very thin; sent back and bought a competitors coat with a more feminine cut.

It will do for spring, summer rain. I like the fabric but not the cut of the coat. XL will only accommodate a sweatshirt under it. About 20 years ago I bought rn71341/un02322 (same fabric) from LLBean. Because of the cut I could wear a 3/4 length down coat under it with room to spare. It lasted 20 years, I loved it! Please bring back the old cut.

This is a good coverage raincoat. It's the same design as the one I purchased 10 years ago, but it has less insulation. Fabric has good water repellancy. I can fit a winter jacket under it which is what I want. It is a good raincoat. But I am disappointed that it is flimsier than the old design.

Ordered a 1X but it was too small in the shoulders, returned and exchanged for a 2X and shoulders are still tighter than preferred.

I like that this jacket is very lightweight and I like the length. However, it doesn't keep me dry in anything more than a light drizzle. I have sprayed it with Camp Dry waterproofing spray, which has worked on other jackets, so I am looking forward to seeing if that helps. I would have expected better from an LL Bean item. Other reviewers had said that it ran small, so I ordered the next size up, so it does fit.
