The only thing I have against this coat is the " crinkly" outer layer. The construction is wonderful; every seam and opening are set so that no rain can penetrate k

This raincoat is snug to say the least. It is easily 4 inches more narrow than the nearly identical short version. It would be restrictive to wear over even a light fleece or sweater. I'm somewhere between medium and large, so the large should have fit. Am exchanging for extra large.

I have been looking for a light weight raincoat. I live in the south so never wear heavy garments.
After reading all of the reviews, I decided to take a chance. As usual, the garments are not adequately large in the hips which is why I went up from my normal medium to a large. The hip just does work. All is OK except the sleeves. They are really long and must be rolled up. Additionally, the waist adjustment is 6" below my waist. Do not plan to cinch it up. Not sure why Bean feels that women do not have hips. Have returned many coats because of this problem. The coat is not attractive; however, I bought it for those 2 days a year when the rain is very heavy and I must go out in it.

This jacket is a nice shell to keep in your car or your carry-on. It's not fancy, but gets the job done. I wear it in the summer to walk in the rain. The hood is well designed and stays up in the wind. The sleeves are nice and long with adjustable wrists. I bought the medium so that I can layer underneath it during cooler weather. I'm giving it four stars because the zipper can be finicky.

I've had this raincoat for more than a year now; finding it comfortable and useful. When the weather isn't below 40 but is windy, I put a few layers on under my coat and have a great windbreaker without the bulk of a heavy outer coat. It's wonderful about shielding me from rain. Because I got the coat length, I rarely need to carry an umbrella
The coat has some "breathe-ableness" that helps in the warm weather downpours.
The one drawback is that I'm still learning to manage the zipper tabs; they are an important part of the coat.

My only quibble with this otherwise excellent raincoat is the velcro v. snaps. I would prefer snaps because the velcro wants to attach itself to anything it can! I bought big enough for sweaters underneath & I like the waist cinching feature. Brighter colors would be welcome.

This coat was a good fit, true to size. It felt great on, light weight and I loved the length. But, I returned it due to the velcro closures on the storm flap covering the zipper. The velcro was very stiff and strong and I have ruined too many clothes with velcro. If it had been snaps instead, I would have definitely kept it!

Very good quality and perfect fit. The zipper can be a bit fussy, but just requires a little patience. It's a great weight and definitely keeps me dry!

This was purchased to replace one of the same type that had worn out and was no longer waterproof. These coats are a good value but they don't last forever. I love the length, and the generous fit allows it to go over bulky sweaters which is needed in cooler rainy weather, as the coat is unlined. So you can wear it in three seasons if you dress appropriately underneath. The things I didn't like: as with my previous coat, the zipper is fussy at the bottom. It doesn't operate smoothly at the starting point. And I was very disappointed in the choice of colors - only dark colors were offered. I would much rather have a light/bright-colored raincoat for safety and visibility, or at least they could add some reflective accents to this coat.

When I saw this on line, I knew it was what I had been looking for a longer rain coat/jacket. I purchased two sizes, not being sure of the fit. I kept the larger one, as I thought the fit ran on the slimmer side and the sleeve needed more room. I'm sending the smaller one back and I'm still not sure about the sleeve on the larger one.
I would have liked a wider choice of colors.

It did not say in the description, but in addition to the double zipper entry there is a velcro closure for when you don't want to zip it, which is nice. I bought this for travel so zippered pockets were a must and I like the access of the chest pocket. Also a must, was velcro at the wrist - however, they must think women's wrists are 10 inches around! You cannot get it truly snug around the wrist due to the velcro placement, which defeats the purpose of keeping rain out. And the arm sleeves are ridiculously long!
Also, I ordered a large and would consider myself an average weight, although curvy, and the fit is snug - not enough to order an xlarge, but snug for what I would consider a large size. I will test out the waterproof part on our trip.

It met expectations, an excellent raincoat for summer and early Fall.

Purchased this for a trip across the pond to the UK in March. It folds up well, takes up little space, is light weight, doesn't wrinkle. The hood negated me having to carry an umbrella. It worked well for me.

I haven't bought it but I a looking for a coat like this but in a brighter color. You need to make us more visible in dark rainy weather! I think maybe some reflective material to make more visible. I also like snaps to easily close the coat without having to zip the coat.
Thanks

Dressy enough to wear to church and sporty enough for other venues

This coat is definitely "slighty fitted". It's not as relaxed as the Trail Model Rain Coat that it replaced. Don't really understand the need for the drawstring waist. I'm still looking for a waterproof, breathable, packable coat that you could layer over 3 layers if you need to, like the old Trail Model Rain Coat.

Arms are too long for petite size. I did not like all the Velcro. I'm not a fan of any Velcro on clothing. I ended up giving the coat away.

It seems flimsy. I live in Oregon, so I need a good quality raincoat, and this isn't the one for this price point. Based on feedback from others, I sized up to a large and this wasn't necessary. The blue color is not very attractive. Too many negatives.

I have had this coat for 3 years and it works well in a New England "shower". It does pack well for travel as others have said. I travelled to Vietnam recently and monsoon season lasted longer than expected. The jacket could not hold up to the downpours. Someone in our group had the shorter version and she claimed to stay dry. Maybe water resistance wears off over time?

The coat has a narrow cut. Although I am small in stature, I ordered a size Large so I could wear it over a heavy sweater or jacket. It would barely close when I tried in on wearing a cotton blouse. I then ordered an Extra Large, which under normal circumstances I would be swimming in. The extra large satisfied my need for more upper body room, but was still quite narrow around the hips. I believe the coat is designed for a tall slim figure, even in the extra large size.

Owned a Trail Model hot pink coat for 10+ years. I needed to replace. This new coat was too tight in the hips, not crazy about the color. Liked the look and length, tho. I returned. I will look again for hopefully for a more color choices, like the jacket.

I like this coat but the description says it is foldable into its own pocket. That sounds great but nothing at all was packaged with the coat describing the method to accomplish that. Is that information available?

The jacket fitted too small.
I had expected it to be roomier.
Please offer in larger sizes beyond 3XL.

Nice look and quality seems to be good. Didn't test it in the rain however. Sleeves waaaay too long, to the end of my fingertips!! Also decided after trying on that I prefer a longer rain coat to keep midi dresses and pant bottoms dry.
