I Normally LOVE llbean clothing....this jacket is beautiful, nice quality fabric and well made...HOWEVER I was shocked that the sleeves and armholes were so small relative to the body of the Jacket. A standard XL always fits me, but after reading the reviews I noted comments about the fit running small so I ordered size up to woman's 1X....the sleeves would not have allowed any sweater or thick Top underneath and the armholes were so tight they didn't allow movement, even though body of Jacket was plenty full. Very strange fit. I really need a new rain jacket, so really disappointed. I wonder if its a manufacturering error. Sadly I had to return.

I am very displeased with the changes to this great product. The fit on the new jacket is WAY too small compared to the older, roomy, excellent product. The colors are too muted for me to be seen out walking in rainy, dreary Western Washington. And what's with a "fitted" rain jacket? I want room to put my usual light fleece under the jacket. The zip chest pocket is nice, though. I promptly returned this item and hope you'll bring your previous design back. I have 3 of them and will only use these now. I would have to buy a 3X in this product to have the room I had in the 1X in the past, or even the Large. PLEASE bring back the bright colors and the past sizing, which was more generous and comfortable. Thanks.

I purchased this jacket in 2024. It stands up to a light drizzle, but when I recently walked in the rain, I was soaked to my skin. Very disappointed.

I wanted to replace my current Trail Model Rain Jacket as it is several years old and starting to wear. I was disappointed when my new 2X size jacket arrived and it was too snug in the body. I notice that it is a "slightly fitted" styling as opposed to "relaxed fit". It's not for me, sorry to say, and I had to return it. Please consider revamping your fit for this jacket. Thank you.

I expected to have this fit all parts of my body. But sadly, the shoulder and arms are WAYYYYY too tight! I'm returning it for a refund.

I received this as a gift last winter. Brought it on a hike and got completely soaked. The rain went right through the material.

Nobody buys this kind of outerwear to be "fitted". Not trying to be a fashion statement. And the store carry's no non-fitted styles in stock. Who are you marketing to? Tried to replace a LL bean jacket that has worn out.

Bought this literally ONE week ago.. this is the second time I wore it. I'm a college student so all I did was wear my backpack and two hours later it's ripped! Save your money.

Purchased this over a year ago for my daughter. It was used minimally for a year and a half and it now soaks through in the rain!

I received the jacket and it was so wrinkled and creased. It was wrinkled from being shoved in the shipping bag unzipped. The color was not muted but shiny. The sleeves are so long.

Bought a petite as always. The sleeves are a mile too long. They are supposedly held up by Velcro. It gets caught on everything. What's the rationale? Sadly I returned it. Such a gorgeous jacket in clover. Would have loved it.

The sleeves on this jacket are way too long. I am 5'4" with average length arms and the sleeves in a petite were about four inches too long. I tried two different sizes and both had extra long sleeves so they were sent back. Also, the velcro closing will catch on anything when not fastened. I wanted to like it but could not. I was replacing an older version and those sleeves were perfect and no Velcro.

The jacket fits well but is not waterproof. I wore it in a light rain and my shirt and back were soaked. I returned it for a refund, which LL Bean made easy.

The jacket is fine when it's a light rain or drizzle but I became soaked when walking during heavier rainfall. I walk daily, rain or shine, and was hoping this jacket would provide much needed protection during storms. It did not.

This jacket is terrible and does not measure not up to the quality I expect from an LL Bean Garment. The fabric is equal to a plastic poncho I can purchase at a dollar store. I will be retuning it.

The trail model rain jacket no longer has a relaxed fit. Also, there is no snap at the bottom of the zipper. I have three of the previous models, but wanted a different color. Very disappointed. Returned.

I wore this jacket for the 1st time today in the rain and was soaked through all three underlayers. It's wasn't even a downpour, just a slow gentle rain. This jacket is not waterproof. I wouldn't even consider it water resistant. Big disappointment.

Purchased to replace our older ones. We are gardeners, so important to keep somewhat dry. When I received these, I couldn't believe the quality was nothing compared to our older ones from LLBean. I immediately sent them back. Sooo much thinner material.

I was looking for a rain jacket with interior pockets and an exterior phone pocket for upcoming travel, and this was the only style that fits the bill and packs into its own pocket. It's a big miss on the part of the ecommerce team that the "Key Features" description does not include the interior drop pockets, as this is a great feature. PSA for other ladies out there, this jacket has a total of 5 pockets. I bought a Petite Medium, which is my usual size since I like a roomy fit. Unfortunately, the sleeves were a full inch longer than the other Petite Medium I purchased previously (Cresta Stretch Rain Jacket). I even tried to cinch the wrist velcro as tightly as possible, to no avail. The subsequent bunching looked terrible, so I had to returned it. The Petite sleeve length needs to be addressed for this style. If you are a short woman with long arms, this style would work for you. Otherwise, you would have to get the sleeves altered for a proper fit.

The color is beautiful & fits perfectly. Just ran it thru the wash & washed up beautifully. Can't wait for cooler weather so I can wear it.

I have had this coat for 2 years and it can keep me dry in a light mist, it is a good windbreaker, it is stylish and looks nice on, and is true to fit. Unfortunately, this is a RAIN jacket and it will not keep me dry in anything wetter than a mist. My husband and cousin have this same jacket in men's version and their coats keep them dry so maybe mine is a dud? I've hung onto this coat because it was expensive but it has never held up to wet conditions. Every time I wear it, I'm disappointed and soaking wet. I contacted LL Bean customer service shortly after purchase and they gave me a hard time about the waterproofing concerns I had. Really disappointing for a company that prides themselves on customer service. If you want a windbreaker, this jacket will work for you. If you want a rain coat to keep you dry, keep looking or bring an umbrella + change of clothes. For reference, I'm asking this coat to perform in a range of conditions from walking from the parking lot into a store or my office to a multi-hour hike in the rain.

Rain jacket was too small and I ordered one size larger than I usually wear. I returned it and didn't exchange because I wouldn't have gotten the exchange before I went out of town where I needed the coat. It also felt like I was wearing a plastic bag, and wasn't breathable.
