This is the second time I have purchased this jacket. This newer one is longer than the old model which is a big plus! It is cut a bit narrower so I moved from a small to a medium and am happy with the sizing. My problem with my old jacket and this new one is the hood. When you put the hood up it falls in your face and blocks your vision. I have to turn up the brim in order to see and it is quite awkward. I wish this would have been improved.

My wife wears Petite XL, but when she tried this on it was Very Very tight (Like For and Hour Glass Figure) She then went by the Size Measurements posted here on LL Bean and she then order the same Jacket in a Regular XL, and it is a nice fit, So what ever you do check your size.

I haven't had the occasion to wear the jacket yet. I ordered the yellow and love the color. It looks to be WELL made.

The video doesn't do a good job of showing how to pack the jacket. You have to open the front zipper, put your hand inside the left pocket and pull the inside of the pocket to the outside of the jacket. You'll then see a tab on one side, which is only on the inside of that left pocket. Keep gently pulling the jacket through the pocket opening. As the entire jacket comes through, it all folds itself into the mesh, which becomes the bag. When you're done, you can close the pocket's zipper, and you have a compact bag with your coat inside it. Not the easiest thing to figure out, but I was determined. I have an overseas trip in my future, with everything going into one carry-on. I like the green color I chose. I sized up to give extra room for a sweater or light jacket underneath, and it's perfect. Just got it today, so I can't say if it's waterproof. I needed something lightweight and packable. It fits both those requirements.

I like this jacket, but a bit disappointed that I can't figure out how to stuff it into the self pocket. I got instructions from customer service but the pocket zipper (stuff jacket into top pocket bag turned inside out) is then inside out. Has anyone tried to stuff the jacket into it's pocket?

Too small given the size guidelines. I don't like to pay for shipping back even though getting the same jacket just in a bigger size!

Liked the jacket but not color. Not the same as pictured online. Expected red but received purple like a dark black cherry. So I returned it. Too bad, because the jacket style was exactly what I wanted, but I really didn't like the color for me.

My old trail model jacket is falling apart after about 15 years of heavy use. This new one is a little more fitted and has lots of nice pockets. The green color is different and looks nice.

I bought this jacket to replace one that I got a few years ago (probably 7 or 8 years ago). I'm replacing that one because the lining is coming away from the jacket and the jacket leaks in those areas. I was worried about buying this jacket because of the new slim fit, but it fits the same as the old jacket, so it is fine for me. I thought good and hard about buying the same jacket that I know won't last well. However, even though the old jacket doesn't keep out the rain that well it still works as a wind-breaker, it is lightweight and it packs down small. I am continuing to keep it and use it on my daily walk to and from the parking lot which is only about 10 minutes. The jacket does well enough in a light rain for so short a walk. I am saving the new jacket for times when I have to be out in the rain for longer or for when I am expecting heavy rain. Also, the lining in the old jacket came away after I machine washed the jacket (on gentle.) So if I don't use the new jacket much, and I wash it only gently and by hand, maybe I can get more wear out of it. This jacket was an expensive item for me. I gave it 4 stars because I did decide to purchase it again even thought I am very disappointed about its drawbacks. I would have given it 5 stars if I had any hope of it holding up well.

I'm enjoying the trail model rain jacket. It fits true to size, I would say, and is well made. However, the inside pocket seems to frequently get caught in the zipper. Perhaps it should be positioned further away from the zipper placket. I was also disappointed in the "jasper yellow" which is a greenish yellow and maybe not as appealing as a true "slicker" yellow would be

For what they charged for this jacket it feels very flimsy. Im betting the inside lining is going to fall apart as it did on my husband's two other LL Bean raincoats that hes had. But I'm hoping for the best...

This jacket fits as expected. I like that it zips way up so even in high winds the hood keeps you protected. Extremely light weight. I rated 4 out of 5 only because I feel it's overpriced.

Good fit. I like the Velcro adjustable sleeves and hood. Lightweight and folds into pocket for travel. I have worn in 2 rainstorms. The jacket kept me dry. The green is pretty. Affordable.

I Received this product but it was too small. I exchange it for a larger size which I have not yet received. It is the product that I want it just was not the right size. I want it large enough that I can fit a fleece or sweatshirt underneath it on a cool day. Therefore, I'm not going to rate it until I get the correct size.

I love this jacket and it is almost a perfect fit. The jacket is a petite except for the arms. Every petite jacket I own from LL Bean I have to fold up the ends of the sleeves. Great quality and perfect for a walk, run, or hike in the rain.

Was a really nice rain jacket. Had to return because it was tight fitting across the chest. I wouldn't been able to put snother layer underneath.

I live in the desert and have a very old 3-in-1 jacket that needs replacing. I wanted just the shell of a 3-in-1 jacket because I do not need the inner liner in the desert. I asked LLBean Customer service if there was a jacket that was essentially just the outer shell of a 3-in-1 jacket and I was told this model was what I was looking for. It is not even close to the outer shell of a 3-in-1 jacket. It is merely a wind breaker with the rubberized liner, a 3-in-1 jacket has a much sturdier outer shell and has a relaxed fit. This is a very fitted jacket, not loose at all.

I bought an x-large in Petite, because the sleeves were extremely long on the x-large regular, Unfortunately, the sleeves on the Petite were too long, also. I did keep the raincoat because I needed a lightweight one for the summer. However, I find whether regular or petite, the sleeves on 98% of your long sleeve tops of any kind are way too long. It's like whomever sews the tops you buy thinks we are similar to orangutans. I hate either having to push up or roll up the sleeves on ALL the long sleeve tops you sell which I am now doing with the raincoat. A bit frustrating to say the least

I miss the old bright yellow color raincoat they had. This Jasper Yellow is too greenish/yellow for me. Not as pretty.

Lightweight, Velcro closing plus a zipper. Hood adjustment for sizing. I personally don't like Velcro closings, would prefer snaps. Llbean info says it is self-packable but does not tell how to do it. Ordered it and got it just in time for 10 consecutive days of rain!

Construction is good as is sizing. I was a little disappointed in the fabric. It seems flimsy compared to one of my other LL Bean rain jackets. Waterproofing is excellent.

I wanted a lightweight rain jacket that would be good for spring and summer rains in the southeast. I normally wear a small but went a size up so that I could fit a sweater or sweatshirt underneath if wanted. It fits perfectly for what I wanted.

I love the color and it does the job as far as rain protection. It's really thin so it almost seems flimsy but its sturdier than it looks and I appreciate all the pockets. I can comfortably wear a crew neck sweater underneath (you will need a sweater if it's cold as this jacket provides no insulation). That being said I don't think it's worth $99. I mixed some coupons and got it for $30 less but even then I'm not sure it's worth the price, I guess time will tell. I live in a light rain area so I expect this to last me the next decade.
