You just never know what you're getting when you order a rain jacket. A lot of them are too crinkly and stiff to be comfortable. This one it the perfect weight and has a nice soft feel. The only thing it could have to make it a bit better is some sort of liner fabric. However, it has nice features and seems to shed the rain well.

This rain jacket is very flattering and I love the green color. I got an extra large to make sure it would fit over a sweater or sweat shirt in colder seasons, and that turned out to be a good call. I am not thrilled with the velcro closures alongside the zipper, but that's a minor issue. The velcro at the wrists is fine. It's nice and light and sheds water. I do agree with a previous reviewer that it does have a distinct odor: it seems to be dissipating. I am happy with my purchase.

I bought a jacket like this about 10 -12 years ago. I feel the quality of that jacket was a bit better.
it seems to me to be a bet heavier.Unfortunately I got paint on my old jacket and needed a new one.I still like that it is waterproof and fold up very small I just wish it wasn't quite so thin..

I like this raincoat because it does not make noise when I move (like some raincoats). I often wear XL relaxed fit or 1x at LLB, but went for the 2x because I wanted room to layer a sweatshirt and don't like feeling like a sausage when I zip up. I'm a busty size 18, and I almost got the 1x, but since the description says it is slightly fitted, I went for the 2x. Good choice! I'm happy with the color (sapphire) and that it kept me dry in a rain storm. Kind of pricey though, so I'll be using it for many years to come.

I wear a size large in LL Bean shirts, etc, and ordered a large rain jacket. I remember coats being made with a little extra room for a warm layer underneath but the jacket just fits. I kept it but wish it was roomier.

This is a very nice jacket. It has a relaxed fit and is well proportionate for a petite silhouette with the exception of the sleeves that run long. I guess that's why they put the Velcro for sleeve adjustment, but it would be better to have the right sleeve size for petites. Pieces of Velcro run through the front of the jacket as well, which catches on everything. Overall, it is a nice jacket, but it could be better if they got ride of the Velcro, use snaps instead and shorten the sleeves ;-)

This jacket keeps me dry. The hood doesn't fall in my face. Pockets are well-designed. It fits rather snugly over a T shirt and lightweight fleece. Any layer more substantial would require a larger size. The plastic zippers give me some concern over their long-term durability. Since I don't expect to need it often, it will probably last a reasonable amount of time. It does what I ask of it, but I don't expect it to step up for anything more.

Purchased this one just because my 10yr + model was just that, 10 yrs old . My Previous Bean model is GoreTex and still in great shape. This jacket was a good deal for the price and I think will serve well on moderate rain days. Material is quite thin so I don't think it will be suitable to sub freezing weather but will be easier to fold and pack. Fits true to size. Could wear light sweater or sweatshirt under but definitely not a really heavy one.. Have worn it like I said moderate rain day with no problem.

This jacket could be of heavier consistence. Alittle more material (inner lining) inside. It's not worth the price at all.
I would not buy it.

I liked that the sleeves are a little long so I could pull my hands inside to stay dry. Everything great about the fit except the hood is too big. The hood on my old trail model jacket fit better.

Been wearing this jacket on and off for hiking in the Adirondacks this summer. Not as breathable as expected, drowning in sweat under it. It did save me from chilly winds at the mountain top. I can see this being great in the fall.

Loved how this jacket fit and the color is great. Unfortunately, I do not like the fabric. It is noisy and I do not find it to be very breathable. It sticks to your skin in warmer weather, so not ideal for summer. Works well with layers and cooler weather.

I bought this to replace the one I have had for many years. If it wasn't for the gray lining cracking and starting to peel, I would still have it. I hope this one lasts just as long. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the fit.....I prefer the relaxed fit of my previous one as opposed to the more fitted fit of this one.

I have not worn it yet- but it feels good.
I love the raspberry color.
It fits well over a sweatshirt.
I would really like to know how to fold it into a pocket- the quick video is no help.

Loved the jacket, color was good and fit was as expected. Was disappointed with the Velcro closures so it was returned. I don't.believe that the closure type was mentioned in the description. I'm still looking for a rain jacket though so I will keep checking back.

This is a typical well-made LLBean rain jacket. Unfortunately, I thought it would have a little more stretch in it than it does, especially over my hips. I am between sizes, a true size 16, and LL Bean does not have that size in jackets. The top of the jacket, around my breast and arms, and shoulders fits fine.
So, I have to either buy a large, which is 14-16, or XL, which is 18-20 and too big. So, since I am trying to lose a few pounds, I hope to fit into the large size more comfortably soon. Until then I will wear the jacket with the pockets unzipped.

As with most of LLBean women's jackets, they are too short. The jacket is as advertised, a little lighter weight than I expected . Wind protection is good, but really need an extra layer for warmth. Haven't tried it in the rain yet. Overall it is good lightweight jacket. Temperatures are in the low 50s.

This rain jacket is as described. Fit is a bit relaxed to allow for a light weight fleece or sweater under it if needed. Love the color too!

I really do like this rain coat but it was made "fitted" which I really don't normally like. I bought it in a medium first because all my LL Bean coats are medium. But I should have known to go up a size when it says "fitted". I liked the way my "normal" size (M) looked when I was standing up but when I sat down it felt a little tight at the stomach. So I returned it for a large. Now when I stand up it looks a little large for me but it's perfect when I sit down (roomy). But at least it's big enough for me to wear a sweater under it. So next time I just won't buy anything "fitted" because my body isn't shaped for a fitted look. I think you need a thin waist for that. The color is pretty and I liked it enough to keep it.

I ordered the medium and large and the right size for me was the large. The medium would be too tight in shoulders. The large was roomy but not huge for my size (5'7", 160, 36c).
The reason I sent the coat back is that I really wanted pit zips and prefer not to have Velcro closures over the zipper. If those things didn't bother me, I would love this coat. I like the chest pocket, which many other brands don't have. Also, the hood on this coat was great, like the adjustability and that there were draw cords to tighten it down.

I usually by a xl from ll Bean. I bought a 1X because I wanted to accommodate a light sweater or extra layer underneath. The 1X was too tight in the arms and shoulders and around my hips. I am pear shaped so it happens. I ultimately sent it back for a 2X and it fits as I would like. Overall satisfied with the jacket.
