I would normally order a medium but since the reviews looked to be "runs large" I ordered down to a small. I'm glad I did. I love the retro look of the pattern/colors of this jacket. It seems to be of good quality. I'm not fond of partial zip jackets but this one seems to have a nice, wide opening to get it over your head easily. It provides nice wind protection. I don't think it's a good rain coat though. Any rain more than sprinkles will come through. Happy with the jacket!

I could not love this layer more. Perfect for over a light jacket to add extra warmth (and a hood) in cold weather or by itself on warmer days. Easy to just toss it in the wash as often as needed. Love the pockets! The fit and length are perfect. And it looks great-- love the colors. This is my second one, and I've lost track of how many years I've been wearing the first one.

The Multi is a very special combination of 4 colors. I love it that the colors which look better on me are on the top. So, the Spruce Green of the hood and top surround my face. The hood can zip up high so it covers the bottom of my chin. It has cinches to tighten it, or you can tie them if you want. I have worn a knitted hat under the hood for warmth. Or you can wear a baseball cap instead. No, I did not find the hood too big, and I have a tiny head. The nearby Alpine Blue raglan sleeves offer a good range of motion. The bottom front of Olive is divided from the top by the band of braiding. And I confess I bought this Multi anorak just for that braided trim! Brick Red on the back bottom finishes it off. Plus there is a hem drawcord. I set off in chilly weather for my hike, dressed in my LLB finery: LLB mock, LLB flannel splitneck, LLB skinny knit jeans, and this anorak. I carried my LLB Chambray Blue sunhat in my LLB knapsack in case the sun came out. Once it did, I removed the anorak, taking out my camera and phone first, so they wouldn't clunk me in the head. I found it a little difficult, maybe because of the flannel shirt's nap. Next time, I'll wear something slinkier, an LLB Pima mock plus an LLB nylon or poly vest. The anorak should slip on or off easily with that combo. The front zip pocket holds a phone, camera, tissues, comb, lipstick, and at least 1 sandwich! Behind it is a huge kangaroo pocket for gloves, etc. This anorak is "wind and water resistant", but Not waterproof. It's also Not insulated. You can find insulated anoraks under Outerwear, but not in this pattern. And they don't have the braided trim. Though I dislike wearing advertising, I must say the colors of the logo reflect the colors of this anorak plus a small bit of white so it looks as if it was born that way! For those who want a roomier fit, this exact same Multi comes in Mens' UY505271. Yes it has the braiding and yes, it's the same price in Regular. Tall is more. Be sure to read the reviews and size chart because some people said the Mens' runs big. This is my first anorak ever. I usually avoid half-zip styles because I don't like putting things over my head don't want to ruin my foundation and lipstick my hair's already a wreck! But this unique color combination, reasonable price, and most of all that braided trim make this a happy exception. I would buy it again and again. I bought Petite XXS.

Fits great, sleeves are nice length which is hard to find being tall with long arms. Thin material perfect for a top layer over a flannel or long sleeve for a hike

I bought this to replace an anorak that I thought was irreplaceable, but I was wrong because this one is just perfect. There is plenty of room for a wool sweater or down vest or both if needed. The front pocket is a good size he mobility in he shoulders and sleeves makes for fluid movement and comfort. Plus I like the colors. I would buy this again, in fact I did buy one for my husband afterward. He likes his too.

I love this piece! Not a fault but do be aware that it is thin and best for layering if you are going to wear it in winter months. I have received lots of compliments while wearing this! Nice details, colors are exactly as expected.

I purchased this for my sister and she fell in love with the colors! It looks so nice on her, with the color blocking in earth tones. It's got a nice broken-in feel to the fabric which is soft and not as shiny/plastic-like as many wind breakers like this. The built-in storage pocket is useful, though the jacket comes out very wrinkled when used, the wrinkles relax pretty quickly with body heat.

This is a great pullover. It's nice to see them getting popular again and the colors are great! Like most things I buy from LL Bean, it fit perfectly the first time!

This is a great, versatile garment. The sizing may be considered slightly large, if your accustomed to other "outdoor inspired" brands. I ordered this as a substitute for a windbreaker or rain barrier sort of layer. I love to hike and jog, but I feel like most waterproof layers are like wearing garbage bags, and I can't stand them. You can put this over a thin fleece/polyester base layer for cool days, and wear it over a good thick layer for colder weather. I love the versatility, because you really can wear it practically all year long. (At least here in Maine) It's got a charming, "classic Bean" appeal to it that's sure to never go out of style.

Bought this for my daughter. It fits her perfectly. She loves the different colors. The fabric is different than our old anoraks. She says it's pretty good in the wind too.

Just bought this jacket to use as a light layer when golfing. It performed great when a tad chilly and breezy. It was a good windbreaker and I stayed warm with just a long sleeved tee-shirt under it. Plenty roomy across the back/arms so easy to swing my golf club. It will be great in spring/summer when just a light layer is needed. It was exactly what I was looking for!

Love LOVE love this! Just got it in and I'm absolutely smitten with it! I'm 4'11, weigh 145lbs and wear a size 36D and purchased the XL misses'. It's a little baggy but I wouldn't have it any other way. So happy with this purchase and can't wait to see what else L.L.Bean has in store for me!

I bought this for a trip to Iceland. On "warmer" days I wore it with a long sleeve technical shirt underneath; on the really windy and chilly days I wore an LL Bean fleece hoodie under as well. Even in the XX-Small I had room for all those layers (I personally find most LL Bean clothing runs big for me - 5'6" 125 lbs). It took a little getting used to for getting it on and off since it's over the head, but wasn't a problem overall. It is very lightweight but kept me dry during lots of drizzly rain, it cuts the wind somewhat as well but wouldn't be enough for a huge gale (think of this as a fall jacket - you'd definitely need layers for winter). I liked the cuffed sleeves and the hood too. The colors were awesome with a fun vintage vibe! Looks just like the picture.

I have worn this jacket for a variety of outdoor activities in inclement weather and it has stepped up to the plate each and every time. Used mostly for side by siding in the Maine woods, I was able to wear shorts and this jacket on an 80 degree day and not be too hot. It held up to all the puddles & mud thrown my way. Washes great. Love that it folds up into a small pouch as well! I have received so many compliments on the styling... many reminiscing on how they had one just like it in the early 90's! Thanks LL Bean... Great Jacket!

I love it! The colors are exactly as shown online and I love the color combo. It's pretty lightweight which is nice. I ordered a petite medium instead of a small, so it's a little baggy which will be nice if I'm hiking and want to wear a thicker layer underneath (it's definitely not meant to be a warm layer). I was sure to check the measurements before ordering! I tested out how water resistant it is with the garden hose lol worked great!

I love this jacket! It fits perfect, especially around the arms...roomy enough but not too much, and just beautiful colors. I wore it in the rain and never got a drop on me. Just the perfect jacket! I'm thrilled!

All my favorite colors patchworked into a new favorite pullover jacket! The trim across the front is an attractive detail. I am a curvy 5'2" 135 lbs and the petite medium fits perfect. Very nice fabric and it easily stuffs into the front pocket.

The colors on this anorak are a little more muted than in the picture, but absolutely beautiful none the less. Reminds me of a modern Alaskan anorak. I'm 5'5" and 145lbs, I got the medium misses and it is HUGE. It hangs well and is still flattering, it does cinch on the bottom, but it hangs below my butt like a short dress and I can fit it comfortably over the largest down jacket I own, which is a 700 fill marmot puffy I wear in well below freezing temps. If you want something to fit over your other layers and be very loose, go with the misses, otherwise if you want a more fitted feminine look I suggest sizing down or going with petite.

I love love love this. The colors are amazing, bright modern and will go with anything. The hood is too large but it is something that is not a deal breaker. I am glad I waited for the multi-colored version. Would recommend to anyone. Fabric is amazingly soft and light.

I tried this in a department store and medium fit great. I later ordered from LL Bean in medium. When I got ready to wear it, it was huge. Went back to see if there was a small, but the one I had was out of stock. Check your size.
