I am a hefty girl with a large chest and I was scared to get a petite because nothing about me is small but my height. It really does fit perfect, if I went any smaller or bigger it wouldn't be right. The colors are great, the fit is perfect and I get compliments on it all of the time! I always get so excited when it is raining so I can wear it! I usually put a sweater or long sleeve under it and it still fits well. I wish I had a photo but now I can't find one:(

* I am an L.L.Bean Student Ambassador, but regardless I am in love with the Classic Anorak! I wear this product almost year round because it is perfect for layering. The fit is relaxed and runs a bit large which makes it ideal for having multiple layers underneath it in colder weather or on a cool summer evening. I also bring it whenever I am traveling because it stuffs into its own pocket it easily fits into a purse, backpack or carryon! Plus the new color block options are always a show stopper whether you are on the trail or street!

**I am an L.L. Bean Brand Ambassador, but I also have purchased this item in several different colors on my own** I love the L.L. Bean Anoraks, and when I saw the color block, I was in love! I typically wear a small to x-small, but I ordered a petite x-small based on the reviews. I found that this was the perfect size and I could still wear a medium to light weight sweater underneath it. The colors are really vibrant and great, and will not fade in the wash. The hood is larger than I expected, but I pull it down in the front and it works and repels rain well! I have worn this jacket in the pouring rain in Ithaca to run between classes, and I haven't gotten wet, and it air dries completely in an hour or so, which is also nice. I also love the stowaway pocket, so I know if the day starts out sunny I store it away in my backpack, where its so small I don't even notice and then I take it out when I need it. I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs a nice lightweight jacket. It's a great layering piece and a great gift! Also! My three pound chihuahua absolutely loves to be carried in the front pocket! I took her out after about five minutes and put her on the ground where I was sitting, and she jumped back in! This obviously isn't an intended purpose, but it's very cute!

I purchased this for my daughter, it looks awesome on her! Super cute style.

The colors, fabric, and style are great. Fit is perfect to layer over a sweater and still feel roomy. I love everything about this jacket!

Love the retro look and the front pocket. Nice for cool fall weather and it is roomy enough to put a sweater on under it when it gets a little colder.

This jewel toned anorak is simply gorgeous! The quality is unsurpassed and the price point makes it a great value. I love the hand pockets and the generous zippered storage pocket in front--easily room for cell phone or other items. Love that the half zipper comes down far enough for me to avoid messing up my hair! This lovely anorak will be a favorite for years to come!

I had eyed this online in Spruce/Plum, but when I tried on all color combos in the store, I was surprised that the Deep Admiral Blue combo ended up being my favorite! I was afraid to order online since LL Bean smalls usually fit in the body but have sleeves too short for my long arms (when will they offer women's talls??). But I was pleasantly surprised that the small had long enough sleeves! The small even fit over a medium weight midlayer. The medium was clearly oversized all around. This has worked great as a windbreaker for outdoor outings and walks the few weekends we've had chilly fall weather in the Mid Atlantic so far.

I love this half zip jacket! I prefer things on the bigger side to be extra cozy and this jacket is perfect for that!

I have always admired this anorak and decided to get it in spite of the fact that I already have too many jackets in my closet. I love the color block, it fits well, and can be worn with a light layer underneath. I have worn it in a light drizzle and stayed dry. Also love the kangaroo pocket in front with another zippered pocket right above. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a way to stow the hood when not in use. All in all very pleased with my purchase.

I purchased this for a trip to Italy. It was great for the city locations. My valuables were safe and accessible in the Zipper compartment and the kangaroo pocket was great for map, sunglasses, etc

After reading reviews I ordered a Small Petite and the fit is great. I have been looking for an overhead anorak in a Petite and glad I found this. The quality, stitching, color block style are fantastic for those rainy days, can pack for traveling, daily dog walks, everything. Shipping was fast & ordering was easy. Great value for the price and high quality.

Have only tried it on so far, but it's a little big. Probably could of gotten away with a small. It's also, very thin, but I live in Texas, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Bright and cheerful. Fun to wear and water repellant. Exceeded my expectations The medium, which is my usual size, fits well over a light sweater.

Just got the multi-color anorak in the spruce/tuscan olive today & love it! Like the feel of the nylon fabric; love the mix of fall colors, which are echoed in the braid trim; love the pockets & hood; love the deep zipper for easy on/off & ventilation. Even thought I'm petite and slim, I never buy LLB petite items because usually the sleeves and body are too short. I'm really glad I go the Regular in this, as well. It fits just right. Now my hubby wants one!

As soon as I saw this jacket, I knew I wanted one, but.... which one? I liked all the colors! I was able to get to a store an hour away, and I chose the Spruce/Tuscan Olive. The spruce is close to a teal green. I matched the red to cloth swatches that I have, and it is brick, as another reviewer said. At 5 feet, and 145 pounds, I usually wear a petite large in jackets. The store did not have these in petite, and only had small and xx-small in this color. The small was roomy in the body, so medium would have been too big. The sleeves were a little long, but the elastic kept them at my wrists and above my hands. It was a little long in the body (hem fell at bottom of my butt). My first thought was to go home and order a petite small, but I decided the extra length would provide more coverage against the weather (this is wind and water resistant). Also, the adjustable drawcord at the hem, allows for bringing the material closer to the body. With the drawcord tightened, I can pull the back of the jacket up above my butt and it stays there. So there is some flexibility as to look and coverage. So, if I were to order a second jacket in others colors, I would go with a petite small, as that would look better, especially with shorts. However, I know that I will be happy with the regular small paired with jeans, when the weather gets cooler. Then I can add a long layer underneath, if I so desire. When I got home with the jacket, I did put a sweater on and then the jacket to test layering. It was still comfortable, and there was plenty of give when I stretched my arms! The material is nice and soft. I see that they have this in an insulated version. The colors don't work for me, but I am hoping they come out with more. I usually avoid pullovers because they mess up my hair, but the opening is big enough that it's not a problem. I am so happy that I got one of these!

It fit perfectly and the look and feel was super. It's just right for almost all of our weather in East Texas and it can be layered for extra warmth as needed. This will be perfect for travel and visits to the Northeast in the Autumn. A must have for any active wardrobe.

I followed the size chart and it said I should wear a medium. The medium arrived and it was huge on me. I exchanged it for a small and it fits well with plenty of room to wear layers underneath.

I have had my Anorak for about 20 years and it still looks brand new. It can be used for three seasons. Love the big pocket!

Would love if this jacket was offered in the insulated version!!! Love the colors and always beans quality is great, just buy it already :P
