Haven't had much chance to wear this yet, but I love the lightness of it, and the fact that it is waterproof. Also love that it comes in a number of colors -- I have too much navy and black outerwear!

This jacket is warm & very waterproof! Served me well in Iceland! Would have loved for it to come in more colors - as well for the price point to be a little lower. I feel like $150-180 range is more appropriate for the calibur of this jacket.

I purchased this jacket in July...so as reasonably expected...I am unable to comment on the warmth of the jacket...however...I have had other LLBean jackets...and they have all proved to offer the required warmth...as advertised...during cold weather. The color is perfect...the fit is perfect...and I especially like the comfort of the soft cuffs that are hidden inside the sleeve...a nice feature to prohibit the cold from going up your sleeve. The longer design in the back is sufficient to cover one's backside for added warmth. I am anxious for the cold weather to arrive !!

I haven't had a chance yet to put this jacket to the test, but it fits great and is very comfortable. I thought it would fold up smaller than it does, but it is rather ingenious that it folds into a pocket. I'm looking forward to being warm and dry in Iceland.

This Primaloft packaway waterproof parka seems much warmer than the Primaloft packaway jacket which I also own. I like the length of this jacket, more like a parka, and it is much more water resistant.

So far I like that it keeps me warm and dry on those yucky cold rainy days that are in the 30's and 40's. Wouldn't use this as my winter coat when it's in the 20's and windy, but that's not what I bought it for. I wish that it had snaps or Velcro for quick closure when hopping out of car running to store. Then it would have 5 stars!
I'm 5'4" 123lbs and I got a small petite. The regular small was too long in the arms. It's lightweight, but warm for rainy yuck days.
I tried the wildcat jacket and the hood on that was big enough for a bike helmet! This hood is just right.
I like it, it's a keeper

I bought this coat for a trip to Iceland because another reviewer here said it was perfect for that use. I agree unless you are an avid outdoorsman and planning to walk or hike in light to moderate rain for more than about 40 minutes, which is what it took for the dampness to begin soaking through the coat. For typical travel (on & off the bus or car) it's perfect. I bought PL so room to wear base layer and down sweater beneath it for warmth. Mine was a bit wide in the hip so room to sit and bend when zipped. Good length completely covered my hips. Very ample pockets fit my hat, balaclava, gloves, wallet, phone easily. I dinged it one star as I had to cut short a hike because water was coming through, and the garment is a bit pricey, perhaps oversells it's level of rain-worthiness. I was at the beach in Iceland in 27 Mph wind and that protection was exceptional.

An insulated and waterproof jacket that is soft and light. It could be better with a double/two-way zipper. In petite it has more than ample length lending full coverage to butt hence the bothersome single zipper. And in large it has plenty of room to layer and stretch. I tried the medium but it is too snug if I want to keep that single, one-way zipper up at all times. My first foray into llbean clothing so not too shabby.

Love the fit of this coat. It's so warm for being so lightweight (as advertised). The only negative comment I have is the neck/hood. When I zip it up all the way, the neck hole is so snug that without the hood on, it kind of digs into my neck

Well, I got this jacket just in time for the VT February rain - and it is indeed waterproof. It's warm over a sweater or fleece in 40 degree temps. I only gave it 4 stars because it doesn't have a 2 -way zipper, which would be much better for this length. Will probably never use the 2 arm vent and side vent zippers. The fit is flattering with the adjustable waist and adjustable hood. This is the best fitting hood ever for small heads - and the little brim keeps water off your face. Spruce pine color is much darker than pictured but still a great color.

A bit narrow in the shoulders but love that it's both lightweight and warm.

It's not as warm as I thought it would be. I thought the description said it was good with below zero temps. It is not. 25 to 30 is about as low as I'd go wearing this jacket. I like it. It is comfortable and fits well. Wish it was warmer.

Gift from my husband. We hope to travel in 2022 and need something packable and multi climate wearable. I doubted something so thin and light weight could truly be warm. SO SURPRISED. I wore it during the Noreaster today shoveling and the hype is all true. I wore a cuddle dud top and Iight weight sweater not a chill. Would have been a 5 if the zipper was 2 way. Fortunately the side vent zippers when opened allow you enough ease to sit down without unzipping the jacket.

I love that it is lightweight but warm. I've been wearing it on 25-degree mornings in CT and my top has stayed warm. I gave it four stars instead of five because I have a few minor issues-I purchased this coat to replace a different LL Bean coat that I have owned for almost 20 years when the zipper finally broke. The zipper on this coat seems cheaply made, and I'm sure it won't last like the previous one. The other issue I have with the coat is that it only has three pockets; I loved the additional outside upper arm pockets I had on my old coat. The inside pocket on this one is nice but it's way too deep; I have to reach way down to find anything in that pocket. In spite of those few minor issues, so far, I really like the coat.

Love the fit but the hood is too big. If I have the hood on, it falls over my eyes. It's not as warm in cold, windy weather as I had hoped. It's comfortable for 45 degrees F weather (with a long sleeve t-shirt underneath) but not much colder or if there's a cold wind. If I were to wear a bulky sweater underneath for more warmth, it wouldn't fit comfortably.

I love this new coat! It fits well and it looks great. The only reason I gave it 4 starts instead of 5 is because it is not quite as warm as I wanted. I just wear a sweater inside and it is much warmer on colder days.

I love this coat, especially the weight of it. It is easy to wear. i expect that i might need to wear a warmer one in Jan/Feb, but it's great for now. Nice long sleeves. My problem with it is that the front zipper is not "two-way". Without it, the coat bunches up a bit when driving. The zipper also seems to stick a bit at the bottom. i can work with it, but it shouldn't be like that in a coat of this price. Except for the zipper issues, I really love this coat.

Beautiful versatile coat for changing New England weather. I'm 5'5/134lbs and the small fit perfectly.

I love this jacket, all the pockets and the curious zipper placements: under the arms and two toward the back.

The jacket is a good purchase. It's water resistant, light weight and warm. I bought the small. I'm 5'3, 120 lbs. I can wear a
sweater comfortably under it. I didn't give it 5 stars because the neck is a little too high for me.

It's a very pretty fitted coat. Very light feel too. I just don't feel as warm as I should, especially for the price. So I'm a little disappointed because I get cold easy and was depending on my hard earned $250 coat to warm me up. LLBean states light activity to 25 degrees, but our mornings in MA so far are only 34, I was cold in my coat while wearing my fuzzy long john shirt and tee shirt. It's nice that its waterproof though.

This beautiful coat is so cuddly and soft and extremely lightweight. It keeps the PNW wind and rain off of me and is surprisingly warm. I do wish it had a two- way zipper, especially considering the length. Also, the zipper pull is too small. The zipper itself has not given me any problems.

This jacket is exactly what I was looking for. It is lightweight, stylish, waterproof, has hood. I expect it will also be warm. My only criticism is that the zipper is very stiff and does not go up and down easily. I do plan to keep it since it meets all my needs, but I'm hoping the zipper becomes easier to use. If not, I'm counting on the LL Bean guarantee and will return it.

Comfortable weight and fabric and plenty warm. The sleeves are long on me, even in Petite sizing, and I wish it had a way to close the front w/o zipping the full zipper clear to the bottom, ie: I wish it had a 2-way zipper OR some snaps OR some velcro so it could be closed at one or two places when weather doesn't require it to be fully closed. The zippers in the back make it so I can sit down in it w/o unzipping the front, but I do miss having another way to close it partially!!
