I bought this in XS petite and it fits great. I am 5'4", 125 lbs, 36C, with narrow shoulders. I think the " pit zips" are unnecessary, as are the vertical zips at the rear of each hip. For me, a better option would be a 2 way zipper.

I originally bought this jacket for the wet and windy Oregon Coast and I could stay out all day and be happy because this coat kept me warm ,dry and cozy. Now I have been wearing it as my Sierra winter coat and remain warm and dry while shoveling snow or skiing on wet snowy days. I also lived in it for 2 weeks hiking around Iceland. If you live or going to travel to a maritime climate this will keep you happy !

Tried a lot of other brands in jackets and always had various issues, too puffy, uncomfortable or sizing was off. This jacket is perfect, super comfortable, pretty but so practical, super warm and love the length!

This puffy coat keeps me warm and allows my female figure to show more than in other puffy coats. The side zip pockets are big but flattering because they are vertical. It's the best winter coat I've had in many years.

Good fit - a petite had sleeves the proper length. Warm enough for most winter days!

This is a great jacket to layer in cold weather! Wore it over a base layer and fleece high neck mid layer; and I was pleasantly warm in Northern Sweden above the Arctic circle doing snowshoeing with temps around 0 - 15 F.

I really like this coat. Lighter than my winter puffy coat, but still warm. I'm 5'2" and bought the petite. My only problem is that it is quite long and would be nice to have a 2 way zipper. Otherwise I give it 5 stars

I bought this jacket a few years ago and I'm still pleased with it and use it whenever I travel. I sized up to allow room to wear a fleece jacket under it. It's very comfortable with or without layers. Lots of pockets and other features like zip pits, waist clincher and 2 vertical side zips near the buttock area to allow flair when seated. Keeps me very warm. The only downside would be it is not a super light packable jacket but able to stuff into a medium tote bag or small duffel bag. Bought the Dark Marine, received a few compliments on the color from strangers. It is very stylish and functional, I build my wardrobe around it. :)

My jacket just arrived. It fits perfectly and is just what I need for an upcoming trip to Ireland. I need waterproof, wind resistant and packable. Price was a little high for me, but with LLBean quality I'm sure I will have it for years to come.

My wife was looking for a medium weight coat. The L. L. Bean associate was wonderfully helpful and patient. After trying on a number of coats, we found the perfect fit and color.

This is the best jacket I have ever owned. Seriously. Fit is perfect for me. It's light weight yet warm enough for most cold (not really cold) weather. I highly recommend.

Very lightweight but really keeps out the cold. The fit is perfect. Only complaint, the hood isn't insulated so I have to wear a cap.

I rarely write reviews, but I'm gladly writing this one. For years I've looked for the perfect winter coat for the relatively mild winters we now have in Virginia, and I've now found it. It's the perfect length (low enough for good seat coverage but not so low it impedes walking), the perfect weight (doesn't feel bulky or heavy but is still warm), and the waterproofing is excellent. Hood fits well and keeps rain out.

Its a wonderful coat. I bought it in blue a few years ago and found it to be the best jacket for winter shopping etc. Its not bulky. It sheds light rain and I love the secondary tone of the lining. Perfect for a CT winter.

I love this coat!! It's lightweight but still pretty warm. Has plenty of room to layer a sweater underneath. It's great in the rain too and has a hood. Looks good on too. All around great coat!

Ok, this jacket is definitely meant for being active outdoors. I purchased it prior to a trip to Iceland. My husband thought I was nuts because it looks so thin. I wore a base layer and a sweatshirt underneath. We hiked on glaciers and up to the top of waterfalls with temperatures in the thirties and wind gusts. After several minutes, I had to unzip the jacket because it generated so much warmth. Standing around at night looking for the Northern Lights with the same layers was definitely colder because we weren't moving much. I love how lightweight it is and it is perfect for winter hikes! The zippered pockets, underarm ventilation and adjustable cord at the neck are great features. And the fact that you can unzip the bottom sides of the jacket comes in handy when driving or sitting anywhere really since the jacket is a little fitted. Very smart design. Well worth the money if you like to adventure in the cold!

This coat is amazing! I wore it yesterday and couldn't believe ho warm it was! The fit and color are great. I can't wait to wear it again. Wish it was sent out in a box though because it was very wrinkled when it arrived. I had to let it hang for two weeks before it looked good enough to wear.

This was a gift for my daughter who lives in a very rainy area. She loves it! It's a great color, it's warm, very waterproof, and looks so nice on her. I would definitely recommend this jacket.

This jacket is great! warm and very light. 3 nice deep pockets with zippers, and under arm zips to keep cool if you need it. I am so glad I spent the money for the prima loft jacket. It will be great for my trip to Ireland to keep me dry, and its light enough for an Arizona winter. I'm 5'2" 170 and the xl petite fits great

So happy with my purchase! This was pricey but the coat has already proved its value worth the cost. This coat is a terrific, manageable weight especially for the warmth! Great length that falls past hips to prevent bunching and provides a sleek, trim shape. Zipper vents on the back bottom to expand the bottom seam. The hood is roomy but doesn't get in the way since it isn't packable. Also a perfect amount of zippered pockets everywhere necessary.

This is the second one of these that I bought. It's my favorite coat. It's truly waterproof. It has knit cuffs to prevent the cold and wet from getting in. The longer length in back is flattering. You can customize the fit with internal draw cords at the waist and hood and zippers under the arms. With a sweater underneath, I'm warm enough in temps in the 20's. I bought a Petite L, and it gives me plenty of room at the bust and torso. I previously bought Petite M and it's a bit snug across the bust, so the L is a better fit. Sleeve and body length is perfect for me at 5'2". The purple is fun without looking too kiddo-ish.

I love this jacket! I purchased a regular size Small even though I am petite (5'2" 137 lbs) and the fit is great! The arms are a little long but I don't mind it. I think the Petite Small would have been a good fit as well. My two favorite things about this jacket are that it is very lightweight/not bulky at all and it is WARM/waterproof. Overall it is exactly what I was looking for.
