Just got back from a trip out west where this jacket kept me warm and dry while hiking around the geysers in Yellowstone Park. So glad I purchased it. I couldn't figure out how to pack it so I rolled it up into the hood and put it in my backpack for the plane ride.

I was looking for a lightweight warm jacket that could take a layer underneath and would also serve alone during trips on very cold days from the car to the store and times when I would be both indoors and outdoors regularly. This jacket is the perfect one. It is comfortable (I am 5'8" 140 lbs) and the Medium fits well. The fabric resists moisture and has a nice soft feel to it. It is not a full length coat but has good coverage in the back. It has zippered side/back slits so that it does not ride up when sitting, zippered front pockets and zippered ventilation under the armpits. The waist can be cinched (complete with a tiny hook to keep the cinching cord in place!). The hood is adjustable and very functional and has a protective cover over the zipper. The blue is a nice mix between a navy and a dark teal. Although it has not been cool enough to wear the jacket yet I am sure it will become a favorite. I took a break from LLBean jackets for a bit but with this jacket I am back. The detail and quality is hard to beat. It is a bit pricier than some other jackets but the detail makes it worth it.

The features of this coat are perfect for my trip to Scotland this spring- lightweight for packing, adjustable hood, pit zips for temp. control, waterproof, poly insulation, mid length, interior pockets, adjustable waist, & I like the dark purple color ! I am 5ft 2 inches, 104 lbs and small petite size is comfortable for single or multiple layers underneath without feeling bulky or tight.

I was looking for a waterproof warm coat for a trip to Iceland. This one ticked all the boxes: packable, roomy enough to wear layers under it, nice long knit cuffs, lots of pockets, side zippers to make sitting easier, air vents under the arms for ventilation if needed, great hood and a beautiful blue color. I haven't been to Iceland yet, but I don't doubt it'll serve me well.

I bought this jacket for a trip to Alaska during rainy season (24/7 rain and 40 degree) and after hiking for 3+ hours I was dry and warm!

This is basically my dream coat for PNW winterslightweight, waterproof, none of that swishy noise you get with some waterproof jackets. If it came in more of my colors, I'd order another one!

This jacket is perfect for spring, fall and mild winter warmth! Took it on a trip out west and it was just the ticket for packing, comfort and staying toasty. I really like the soft wrist fabric that keeps cold from creeping into sleeves. The color bluish-teal is complimentary - love this jacket!

I've only tried this on and not tested it outside, but I can say it's lightweight and the medium gives me room for a large down vest. I cannot see rolling this up, though, in its inside pocket!

Bought this for a trip to New Zealand during their winter, heading there shortly and expecting to really test the waterproofing! The fit is excellent and the weight is fantastic - highly recommended.

Loved this jacket for our recent cruise through the British Isles and Iceland. Kept me warm and dry and really cut the wind. Hood fit well too. It was light and amazing how easy the self contained packing works.

Exactly what I've been looking for in a spring/fall jacket for Iowa weather. Also did a great job shedding rain while sitting at a summer baseball game!

I love this jacket. Even tho in California we do not have much rain, I could not resist this beautiful and practical jacket last week when I was visiting your store in Maine. Love the color and it is a perfect fit.
Hoping for some cold and windy days. In reality this jacket is perfect for a non-rainy day too.

I've had this coat for two years now and I'm finally writing a review. I bought it so I could have a warm but packable coat when traveling to Colorado in April of '21. It was perfect during the season transition in the mountains. Since then, it's been the most used coat of my collection. I live in the middle of Michigan, and I use this coat all spring and fall. It's even great for wearing in winter when running errands, however, I use my heavy winter coat when outside on cold winter days. But, this coat was MADE for chilly rainy days. It's warm and waterproof, yet very breathable. It washes so well, even after being covered in mud. I like that it's slightly longer and I don't mind the arm length because I tuck my hands into the sleeves and they stay nice and warm. I was hesitant to spend this much on a coat, but I've definitely gotten my moneys worth. I also love the color and have received numerous compliments on it over the years.

I was looking for a waterproof/water resistant jacket for 30-40 degrees. This jacket is perfect for this weather, is nice looking, fits true to size and looks nice. I thought I would not like that the bottom of the zipper does not open, but with the fit it is not a problem at all. I am 5-7; 150, and the medium is perfect.

No complaints about this "lighter" weight winter jacket. Great for those not so cold days here in MN. Comfortable to wear too!

Lighter cozy weather proof coat that is hard working for all but the coldest rainy days in Northern California or a winter ski trip. It got a lot of work this past winter with our record setting rainy weather. It still looks great after many spins in the washer and dryer. And it's a pleasure to wear with its slimmer profile and light weight feel while still keeping me warm. I generally used it in high 30's to low 50's stormy wet and windy weather and was toasty with a single long sleeve flannel or cotton waffle shirt layer and jeans. The hood and longer length kept me dry in some wild weather!

Warm and comfortable coat. Good quality - washes well - great for rain or sun. Haven't tried packing it in it's pocket yet, but I'm looking forward to this feature on my next trip.
