I bought this jacket nearly 2 years ago. It kept me warm and dry through a huge winter storm with lots of snow and temperatures dropping -20 Fahrenheit. I was walking outside in it with a couple of layers underneath and felt great. I continued to wear it during spring and fall. It's light and has a lot of functional pockets. The outside pockets are deep enough to hold cell phones, keys, scarf. It doesn't overheat me when wearing in the spring and fall, but manage to keep me warm during cold winter. It's worth the high price tag Last year I bought a 2nd one, in the blue color. For some reason, it didn't have the same warmth. I returned it. My plan is to purchase another one, more neutral color like black for myself, and the purple one for my mom. Hopefully they are the same quality as of my 1st one. That one is still holding strong. This jacket was my 1st purchase from LLBEAN and I had such a good experience that I have since bought more things.

The arms fit tightly when wearing a fleece underneath.

This is a great jacket. It's lightweight and comfortable but completely wind and water proof. I bought the purple, which I ordinarily wouldn't choose, because of the discount on that color, but it's a very nice color, not garish at all. The ample pockets, inside and out, are also a plus.

Great coat! I don't like heavy weighted coats! This coat is light weight but very warm. Perfect for Buffalo winters and waterproof! Lots of pockets and zippers for adjusting fit. Sleeves have cuffs at the wrist for added warmth. Hood is uniquely adjustable. Love this coat. Pretty shade of blue too! no

Great jacket. True to size, warm but light weight.

I received this jacket for Christmas after looking at it for several months. I've worn it everyday since in the Wisconsin winter. It is durable, warm and doesn't let any wind slip through. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a lightweight, waterproof, warm winter jacket. It packs up well for travel and is versatile with the several zipper slots for flexibility. It doesn't appear form fitting on the outside but the inside drawstring around the center helps a lot. Wish I would have had this jacket sooner

I've been wearing this jacket through a Minnesota winter and haven't once been too cold. I also love the purple!

U have a shorter version and live but this winter felt needed a bit longer and boy, am I glad I picked it up! Great for traveling too

Like it very much but do wish the coat had a two way zipper.

This is the best coat for lightweight warmth with water repellence. It is so lightweight that you can not believe that you can be so warm. It is my perfect all-round coat for winter snow, sleet, rain. It is easily packable. And I love the color purple with contrasting berry colored lining. Highly recommended.

This was the perfect jacket for colder weather outdoors. Fit well and still able to add layers as needed. Worked well for a cold and rainy trip. Would recommend.

I like a jacket that allows layering. This one is perfect! I am 5'4", 140 lbs. A medium would have fit if I wanted a somewhat fitted look but large was perfect for my preferences and does not look like a sack. The underarm area allows room to have a turtle neck, then a fleece shirt, then a vest and even fleece jacket. Did I say perfect? I use it for dog walking, grocery shopping, snowshoeing in the Adirondack Mountains of NY, and from temperatures from 45 degrees (if not active) to 10 degrees(if active). The soft lining at the wrist was a pleasant surprise, as was the extra length in the rear - love both. It is expensive, but I will use it regularly for years to come.

Warm without bulky in this cold weather. Just what I was looking for!

I was worried that it was not going to be warm enough but I was pleasantly surprised! It's lightweight, warm and I love the inner cuffs on the sleeves. I was hoping for red but that's not ever really available for women anymore so I'll keep this jacket for all my around town and work. My go to outside jacket is a 20 year old extra large boys jacket in red!!! It's visable hiking, skiing and shoveling snow. Pretty important for extended hunting season and darkness of winter.

I love this jacket. I bought it for a May 2026 Alaskan cruise. It has kept me warm and dry in 30 degree rainy NC weather. I originally bought a medium but returned for a large so I could layer underneath. For reference, I'm 5'4 and 127 lbs, and carry my weight in my middle. My only complaint is the hood. It is not very warm and it is large. It can be adjusted to tighten but still doesn't work very well,imp. I wear a hat with it and that works. The pockets are very deep so gloves don't fall out. The purple color is beautiful.

Love this coat! Fits well, comfortable, plenty of length in sleeves, beautiful color, keeps me warm even in the low 30s, and lots of compliments. What's not to love?

This jacket is deceiving. It's so light, I thought it wouldn't be warm enough. But it definitely provides warmth and is easy to layer underneath. Folds up easily for travel

Great jacket for active winter trips.Toasty warm snowshoeing in 11F with wind gusts. Liked how the hood could be adjusted if wearing a hat and lots of other nice features.

So light, and yet surprisingly warm -- big pockets, protective hood, good fit. I love the plum color too! With a snug hat, a good sweater, and gloves, I'm comfortably warm in this coat for normal winter weather in my area. On super-cold days, I go for a puffier, longer coat, but for general use (and in the car), this works great.

Love it!! The lightweight,softness makes it very comfortable and easily packable... even when driving( I usually never wear a coat in the car).
