I received the coat as a present from my husband for a trip. Love coat. Very comfortable and great purple color.

This is the most comfortable waterproof jacket I've ever worn...soft & quiet...packable..fits nicely over a thin down jacket when temps get brutal. I actually bought this jacket to replace an identical one I bought 8 years ago..it's traveled overseas and on dailing outings to our dog park...keeps me dry & warm & looking good!

The jacket is very nice and I love the fact that it's packable. The fit is true, and it seems plenty warm. It's a very nice jacket from what I can see so far. I'm very glad I bought it.

Love this jacket. It's light weight but so warm and kept me dry while out in a downpour all day.

LOVE this jacket!!! It's extremely well-made and comfortable. I purchased the blue color, which I love, in a medium petite. It fits perfectly. Alot of thought went into the design of this jacket. I bought this for an upcoming trip to Ireland in anticipation of cool, damp weather and for walking my dog. I actually look forward to wearing it!

Just bought this jacket for a winter trip to Iceland. With fleece underneath, was perfectly warm and dry even in high winds and hail. Love the light weight and the packable option. The one thing I would add would be a double zipper so it could be loosened for ice caving and other more active pursuits, but highly recommend snyway.

This jacket is perfectly packable and warm! Recently in zero-degree weather and was toasty. Excellent good, lots of pocket, and a gorgeous color.

I love everything about this jacket: the fit, sleeve length, sleeve cuffs, deep pockets, light weight yet amazing warm and waterproof, the length, et al! Great for travel and every day winter needs. I purchased a large, regular and it's perfect! Extra room for an additional layer if needed.

Was convinced I would have buyers remorse but went ahead and bought this for a trip next fall to a damp, cold, rainy clime. Started wearing it this winter and am incredibly surprised how warm I've been in temps from the mid to high teens to low 30s, in damp and windy weather. Incredibly lightweight, the wind doesn't penetrate. All it takes is a sweater underneath and I'm good to go. Never wrote a review before, but then never had a coat like this before either. Hope it lasts and lasts as it costs a pretty penny! Thought not having a double zipper would be a drawback but it's fine, less of a struggle zipping it up and it's not restricting in the car. Love the pockets too. This jacket has it all for me.

I purchased this jacket for a February trip to Iceland so I could hopefully be warm while still complying with the tour company requirement of a carry on bag. A friend talked me into trying this jacket out, but I was skeptical that something that didn't make me look like the Michelin Man would keep me warm. As it happened, I was warm the entire trip with just a base layer, R1 shirt, and this jacket with temperatures in the 30s and up to 50 mile per hour winds for a "feels like" temperature in the low 20s. It has good pockets including a giant one to fold the jacket into, the ability to cinch a waist line on the inside, wrist cuffs, pit zips, side zips for movement, and the ability to tighten the hood. The one tiny thing is I wish it had a double zipper. I purchased an XL to handle multiple layers, but I think a L would have worked for me as I didn't need to wear as many layers as I had planned. This is a great jacket.

LOVE this jacket for our MN winters. So easy to wear without all the puffiness. Long sleeveswith wristbands, over the hip length, and high zip front keep out the wind and cold. Nicely shaped at the waist but not tight.

I'm a big fan of this coat, having used it for about 6 weeks now. I LOVE the under-arm and back vents. Most waterproof/windproof winter coats, rain jackets, etc. are far too warm for me - I tend to run [very] hot, but most coats with vents are too "athletic" for daily use. This coat strikes the right balance for my particular temperature-regulation quirks as a pretty active woman working in an office environment.

I have been a diehard fan of the lined trail model rain jacket that LLBean no longer makes - I bought 5 of them for family members and myself. Sadly, my zipper on my lined trail model rain jacket no longer works and I was seriously looking for a new equivalent jacket. I live in coastal Alaska, and I use a three season jacket year-round. I am excited to find that this primaloft packaway jacket will fill this critical niche. I need something warm enough to wear on 34-40 degree days for dog walks, but light enough to cross-country ski in when a shell is too cold (sure you can layer, but it gets bulky quick) and a winter coat is WAY too warm. This jacket (like my lined trail model jacket) fits the bill. For this primaloft packaway jacket, I love the massive inside pocket (the packaway pocket) because it easily carries my wallet and has a zipper. The hood has a hard line in the front which prevents the rain from sagging my hood (which is a problem in another more expensive brand shell I have). The lined inside is a nice weight, and I love, love, love the pit zips - perfect for cross country skiing. It also has two back/side zippers for greater freedom of movement that I appreciate - larger range of movement when skiing but able to zip it closed when it's really blowing and rainy. It's pricier than my trail model jacket was, but given that this is the only similar option, I'm thrilled with the good fit, comfort, and waterproof qualities of this primaloft packaway jacket. I bought a petite medium which gives me enough room to layer under a little bit and long enough in the arms and body for good rain coverage. Honestly, I like the jacket enough to think about buying another one soon in case LLBean decides to discontinue this one in the future.

I put this jacket to the test with the latest storm. It started with snow, followed by heavy rain with high winds . This jacket performed as advertised , kept me dry, stood up to the wind keeping me warm. It's light and flexible making it quite comfortable. It's now my go to jacket in all weather. I won't travel without it

I searched far and wide for a warm, waterproof, lightweight jacket that I could use on my daily walks in the Pacific NW. The winters here are often cold and rainy but with two Australian Shepherds I walk daily regardless of the weather. I love this jacket! It is warm without being bulky, totally waterproof, and stylish enough that I wear it everywhere. There are enough pockets to accommodate everything I normally take on a walk. Best of all it folds into a surprisingly small bundle.

Packable water resistant jacket. Lightweight but with some insulation. Have not yet worn but I plan to use with layers if needed. The pit zips are an important feature so this can be worn during activities. Other valued feature is chest pocket to protect phone and keep it accessible.

Great coat! I bought it as a gift, and the person already had a purple parka. I wish I needed another parka. Returning to the LL Bean store was easy.

This feels great and is very flattering. I haven't tried it in the coldest weather yet, but it seems to be warm. It's lightweight. I'm leaving for a ski trip tomorrow and think it is going to be perfect for travel and enjoying outdoor time in Colorado.

This is my third pack away jacket. They are great for traveling as well as everyday in my Ohio winters. I'm wearing my new one in Italy right now. It's been great for their January temperatures.
