Unfortunately a little too snug in my usual medium size. Loved the color and style and the large was too big and looked shapeless on. So it was returned.

good value for Primaloft but I ordered a small and the sleeves are too long and roomy throughout; a slim fit is what I was after to do the job of retaining warmth. I'm usually between a small and medium but chose small wanting that slim fit. Now I have to decide if I will return it for an extra-small, which I never have ordered as an adult. Why are the sleeves so long and bulky??

I love the lightness and warmth of this jacket, it is very simple but comfortable, easy to pack, has elastic at the sleeve to save the warmth, good amount of pockets , looks slimming and cute. Maybe runs large a little, just enough to wear with a sweater. The only downside is that already has loose threads from the quilting pattern, that shouldn't happen after one wear and at this high price.

Wasn't heavy enough for colder weather and the fit was skimpy. Return was very easy.

I'm finding all the LL Bean coats & jackets tighter this season. In sweaters & shirts I wear a large. Coats & jackets ordered XL . Way to tight

This jacket snagged and ripped easily and it was not covered by their replacement policy. They said it was wear and tear. It was after only 6 months of using the jacket. It is not durable.

Love how warm it is and that it packs down pretty small into its own pocket, but the zipper comes apart at the bottom often. So disappointed.

I searched far and wide for a jacket that fits my pear shape, this fits perfect around the hips and flattering fit around the shoulders. I'm 5'5" 158lbs, 44" hips. The one big disappointment is the hood. I really, really dislike the hood and the elastic that binds around my face, not to mention the hood is not deep enough. Maybe I just have too much hair. I'm going to keep the jacket but looking into finding someone who can alter this hood to make it functional and a bit more fashionable.

I like the idea of a packable jacket, but this one seems very thin, and I'm not sure it'll be much warmer than using a thin canvas or cotton jacket. I had a hard time choosing a color because I didn't like the color selections for most of what Bean sells these days. They're all dusty rose and lilac or weird shades of green. Nothing I would normally wear, and I have so many black and navy jackets already. I got the Dark Marine Blue, but it's not a very nice blue, and the contrasting zipper also looks dated. The hood is so elasticized it bunches up so you can't see, and it makes you look like a gopher. I'm returning the jacket and looking elsewhere for a decent jacket in an attractive color.

I am disappointed that this jacket is too snug around the midsection for me to wear any layers. I bought for the cold weather yet it needs a layer to be warm enough.

I bought the men's version for my son a couple of years ago and he loves it. I came back to buy one for my daughter but the women's don't come in talls. I guess I'll be looking elsewhere.

I have this jacket from a few years ago, but without the hood. I decided to order a new one with a hood, but for some reason the hood is really big. It seems like it is meant to be worn over a stocking cap because it is really tall. If you pull it down then it covers your eyes. I only bought this jacket for the hood and since I can't use the hood, I'm sending it back. I also think it is a little bit smaller in the shoulders than my older PrimaLoft jacket. It's too expensive of a jacket to not have it fit perfectly. Overall, the quality seems good without having tried wearing it out. My previous jacket has lasted for years, but the material seems to be a little better in my older jacket than the new one.

IMHO, all longer hip-length jackets and vests NEED to have a double zipper! This does not, nor does the vest in the same line. When one sits down, both have to be rucked up to avoid pulling the zipper apart from the bottom. On the jacket, I don't "love" the hood, but it's good to have. I wish it could be tucked away into a collar of some sort when not in use though.

I have an older version of this jacket. I love it. It's lightweight and I use it as a summer jacket for when it's chilly inside or raining outside. I wanted another one and bought this. The problem for me was the hood. It doesn't extend out beyond your face, so there's no protection for my face or glasses if it's raining. I had to return it.

This jacket was HUGE and not as shown in the photo. It's more like an A-line dress, as it flares out quite a bit at the bottom. I ordered a Petite Small and it was still way too big. Disappointed, as it is seems to be a well made jacket.

I can't speak to its warmth or wind resistance b/c I never wore it outside. The sleeves were way too long, and the body fit in a loose and boxy way, not fitted-I'm 5'6" and 135-140 and I ordered a Medium, so maybe a small would have been OK. A friend of mine has this jacket and it fits her great, but she's bigger up top (I'm not) so maybe that helps. The fabric felt great and it was very lightweight (what I was looking for).

I never wore the jacket outdoors so I can't speak to its warmth or wind resistance. However, the material is very lightweight (that's what I wanted) and feels great. Unfortunately the sleeves are way too long-when I first put it on my arms looked like the Michelin Man, then I realized the sleeves were bunched up (there is elastic on the wrists). Once I tugged them all the way down I could see that the sleeve shape is OK, just way too long in proportion to the jacket. Also it was overall too big. I was looking for a chic (-ish) feminine cut. I'm 5'6" and 135-140 lbs and the medium was loose and boxy. A friend of mine has the exact same jacket and it looks great on her, but she's bigger up top so that probably helps (with the fit/shape). A three stars may be unfair since I never really used it. but that's how I "feel about this item" (the prompt for the review).

This jacket gold well and is comfortable. I do love the fact that the pouch is actually part of the jacket. I had a similar one for many years. This one is not nearly as warm by comparison

I bought it for the chest pockets and the jeans blue color as well as the advertised warmth. I wanted a jacket I could wear on all but the bitterest cold days-+15 to+ 45. In temperatures below 35, or very windy, it is just not warm enough. There are other nice Bean jackets that are warm enough but without the needed pockets or jeans color. I had to buy the jacket a size larger because I have the same bust and hip size, and your fit is more for pear shaped people, but the adjustments at the bottom helped. If only Bean would put zippered chest pockets on more of its winter jackets, or just make this model warmer, I would be happy

Bought this primaloft jacket in 3/4 length several years ago and absolutely loved it. For some reason, LL Bean decided to no longer offer 3/4 jacket and to only sell this in short jacket and coat length??? I would love to buy one in a different color if only it was, once again, offered in 3/4 length. I am a petite size and coat was way too long even in petite. Please, please consider bringing back this packable primaloft in 3/4 length.

It is large enough to wear a bulky sweater or jacket under it; the sleeves end at my finger tips. I have never worn anything smaller than a small (size 4). I bet an XS would fit me better but the sleeve issue would not be solved.
