I like this jacket a lot, but found it slightly more fitted than I was expecting. I'm going to keep is regardless, but I wish it were a bit roomier.

But I bought this one because I couldn't find a jacket that had everything I wanted and the anorak did. It's waterproof, has huge pockets that are easy to access and is long enough for good coverage in the rain. It's also fairly lightweight so you can leave it on in a store or restaurant. I still hate taking something off over my head and messing up my hair, etc, but this anorak has a really long zipper, which helps. So I do recommend it since even I the anorak hater, like it.

Bought in 2017 & reviewed after returning for size issues (too fitted for me at the botton); 2018 bought 2, one in olive & one in navy blue. Wore one on a trip to Alaska where it wasn't too cold but was rainy. Kept me dry & was somewhat wind-proof tool. I liked the large front zippered pocket & hand warmer type pocket. I did get this in a petite XL which was big but I was planning on wearing over a fleece-type jacket (last year PL was too tight in hip area - hate those princess seams!). The hood, as always was too large but OK. I wasn't planning on walking any runways, just staying warm & dry, so I wasn't concerned on the anorak being a bit large. Now looking for an insulated one but not liking the colors! Why so many for men but not women???

Love the look of this jacket, and it's so soft and comfortable. But the fact that it's not a full-zip makes it really hard to get on and off with any dignity. This is my first time purchasing a pullover jacket and may be my last.

I'm tall (5'9") and most of my height is in my upper body. The bottom of the jacket hit right at the top of my pants. I'm a teacher and I raise my arms to write on the board. I had to send it back because I would be showing my stomach.

I bought the jacket to slip on over a layered piece to keep me dry while touring the Pacific NW. The piece is lightweight, keeps you dry in misty to light rainy weather. It is very water resistant. I found it harder to slip on and off because of the very square shape of it. The hips have zero flair and, if you are at all curvy, it makes it tighter at the hips. It fits very similar to a menswear item.

In the case of recent reviews about sizing down, I wished I'd not read them, as I ordered a Pet XS which was a mistake. The body of the anorak tapers to a snug fit just below the hips, in which case sizing down is not recommended. The arm length is long and pulling it up over the hips to remove is a real challenge. Thinking this anorak may not be a keeper. Unfortunately for me, being a petite sz small @ 5"1", LLBean petite clothing is a hit or miss.

I am 5'1 and 140 lbs, I ordered the ladies petite large and it was pretty big on me in the torso but the arm length was perfect. I could have gotten away with the medium but it has draw strings on the bottom to tighten it up and more room for layers underneath! The material is good quality but its more of a water resistant, then a waterproof so not the type of jacket to wear when its pouring rain. Overall, pretty satisfied with it, would recommend to a friend!

I have a red one from years ago that I adore. These things are great. They are just the right weight for so many days and they pack down small so that you can bring them along easily. I had thought I'd really love the black, but when it arrived and I put it on, it just looked...blah, when compared to my bright red one. I'm not really a fan of the color combinations they chose for the color block, but in looking at the dark blue, bright blue, it appears to me that it's not going to clash too badly. I would have loved to see this offered in navy, royal blue, red, orange, yellow, hunter green, kelly green, etc. One con that I noticed, I ordered the petite, but even so, the arms are too long and fall down over my hands. I'm short so I'm used to that effect with clothing, but it is a little irritating to have it happen on a petite size!

The overall style of the jacket is great. However I wish the fit was better. I'm 5'2 &115lbs, got the PXS and am still kind of swimming in it...I've gotten other PXS jackets from LLBean before and had a little extra room but not as much as this. I feel like the fit of this jacket is more relaxed than "slightly fitted" as advertised. For me, there's definitely plenty of room for a warm fleece underneath if I wanted to wear in cold weather--but I got it to wear in the warmer months as a light jacket. Still contemplating whether to keep it or return.

This is a great lightweight jacket. If you want to wear something heavy under it, I would suggest sizing up as it has no stretch or lining so putting it over heavy clothes is difficult. I have had another LLBean anorak for over 20 years and I love it. I would have liked for this one to be lined like my old one. The old one has a thinsulate liner which is slippery and makes putting it on and off much easier. This jacket has no liner so the cotton is a bit difficult to maneuver on and off. However for a lightweight jacket its great. It looks great on and is very comfortable to wear. Now LLBean...lets bring the old version with the thinsulate back!!!! Oh...and other colors would be great. I don't mind the black, but would have liked some brighter choices since the jacket is lightweight and will be worn in warmer weather. The color block version isn't my favorite as it reminds me of an apron.

I am still frequently wearing my 26 year old anorak and I am thrilled to see it available again!! I am waiting to order my new one when more colors are available. Black is not my color!! THANKS for considering brighter colors or at least navy blue. Then the rating will be 5 star!!

I love this pullover, it has a cute fit and is super portable. The jacket easily packs into the zippered center pocket and makes a square small enough to throw into most backpacks, large purses, or glove boxes. It's great for travel and would be a perfect spring/summer/fall layer. I would recommend ordering a size up if you would like to wear anything bulky underneath it. The only thing I wish they would have done differently is to make the hip drawstring at the bottom elastic, it would make it easier to pull off and over your head. I'm 5'2 130lbs (very athletic build) and got the XS.

This anorak was ALMOST perfect. The quality and the fit was everything I hoped for. But then I pulled the hood up, and it flopped down to cover my eyes. There is no cord in the back the hood to adjust for this, so I had to return. An anorak without a functional hood is useless. This anorak deserves better.

Not very heavy material. I would have like a whole zipper. Since I haven't worn it yet I really don't know what to tell you. Sizing is right.

Nice style, but not very rugged material. See-through Kind of like the T-shirts to get these days. I have an anorak from L.L. Bean from several years ago that was much tougher material.

Over the years I have purchased many of these Anoraks in different colors. After ordering black and olive within the past year, I can certainly see that the material is much lighter than the previous ones I have ordered. I like these anoraks because the pockets are perfectly placed and the zip pocket in the front is perfect to keep keys, id, etc without having to bring your purse. Great weight for walking the dog in the spring but, I use my older ones now in the Fall because they are heavier weight. I miss the weight from the older anoraks. . I

I have purchased this anorak over the past several years in various colors. I was thrilled to see it in black and the dusty Olive and bought both. Unfortunately, these are not the same weight or quality as the ones that I had previously bought in the past. I wear a large and I felt that they were a little snug around the hips. I have an electric blue, Navy and red that I bought in previous years that are much heavier weight and fall perfectly. For the price these anoraks , I would think that the weighted material is worth bringing back. I love this product and I hope you keep it in the selection however the heavier weight is much better

I was so excited to see this on LL Bean's website. I ordered it, and like others, had to exchange it a couple of times to figure out the right size. I could forgive that much, and would have still given it a five star review. However, after only two months of wear, the fabric is wearing away oddly on the back. I can't credit it to anything I may have done to it, and I'm disappointed at how poorly this has worn. This is my second LL Bean jacket purchased in recent months that has been a disappointment.
