I've worn this almost every day for months and it goes with everything. I wondered if the lack of a bottom drawcord would let cold air in, but I haven't noticed it. Snaps on pockets are actually more accessible, and nothing has fallen out. It bucks the current trend of unnecessary pockets and drawstrings to make the vest lighter and simpler. For zippered hand pockets & chest pocket, and a windflap, I recommend Bean's Sweater Fleece Vest, at about the same price.

Vest was returned for refund. Too small. Appeared to be very well made. Refund was promptly credited to my account. I have a down vest purchased from LL Bean many years ago, also size large but much bigger than the new one. I still wear it.

Great fit. Nice and light/not puffy. Great for layering under a coat, also great on its own.

This is a warm, comfortable vest. The pockets snap shut and are very handy. The vest is light and does not take up much space in a pack. I bought a similar vest from L.L. Bean some six years ago that has zipper pockets, which are even easier to use than the snaps. Overall, a fine product that is likely to last many years.

As another reviewer has already said, the color of the sale vest is considerably different from the photo. I like it a lot. The vest is comfortable and just right for chilly weather, indoors or out. I just wish there were another for slightly chillier weather.

This vest is lightweight and although thinner than the "puffer" description would lead one to expect, it's warm. The lack of extra pockets and zippers helps keep the weight down, too. It makes an excellent layering piece. I'm really happy with this vest.

Extremely comfortable cut and soft, pleasant materials. I am fairly thin and wear a medium vest elsewhere; this vest in medium looks a touch larger (I'm talking 5%, not anything like a whole size) but after wearing it for a couple of days I actually prefer the cut/sizing over my other vests. The fatigue green color is really nice! The photos on the website make it look brown but it's more of a metallic yellow-olive, like a slightly reflective version of a greasewood/creosote leaf. The vest exceeds my expectations I just wish there were more colors to choose from!

Really nice. Wish the side pockets had zippers. With a single button on the pockets, items can easily fall out. Wish it was down insulated so it would be more puffy Not super warm, but it gets the job done. I live in Chicago, where it will get lots of use

Fits true to size and isn't too bulky, so it can be worn under an additional layer without making you feel/look like Joey wearing ALL of Chandler's clothing.

Great vest, love it. If you are tall, must buy the tall size vs regular.

Surprisingly warm, although it's a little roomy for me. Got a large tall and while it fits well at the hips, kind of loose around the chest.

I like the vest well enough. I wish the collar was about half the height it is.

Perfect weight for what I needed (cruise to Alaska). Wore under a rainproof jacket, when needed. Very packable. Not a perfect fit - good fit across chest, loose in lower back

Absolutely love the fit and quality of this vest. Ordered Large Tall in Black. I'm 6'1" 200lbs. Fits exactly the way it should. Would have given 5 stars if it had an inside pocket or vertical outside chest pocket for phone. Besides that, still love it. Looks rugged and stylish at same time. I enjoy the detail of the logo being grayed as opposed to the normal colorful LL Bean logo.

The vest is fine. My only wish is that the collar was not as tall and would fold down in a more natural fashion. It either sticks up in the air or folds down awkwardly, like a button-down shirt collar. I often wear my vests indoors and would like the collar to behave more like a mock turtleneck. This is not a design problem, it's probably what most people want in an outdoor-oriented vest; I just have a different preference.
