This is THE best jacket. I looked and looked at every brand for every price. Being a total Bean person, I wanted to stay with them, but couldn't find the right jacket and quality for the right price. Well, here it is. Waterproof and extremely well made.

I'm 5'11 and about 160 and the small fit perfectly. I've worn it with a button down and pullover underneath and it still fit well.

Blocks wind and repels rain. Inside pocket is useful. The Velcro-closure hand pockets work well, deep enough. Hod fits snugly when jacket is zipped up. I got the size XL, though I usually war L, so that I can comfortably wear sweatshirt hoodie or other layers beneath I'm colder weather and that works very well so far. It does get pretty warm indoors or when walking fast and heating up. Gets a bit sweaty in those situations. It has been good for three seasons so far.

Excellent fabric. Good price for the money. I enjoy shopping at Bean because they stand behind the product and it is made of quality fabric. The windbreaker is light, comfortable to wear and I feel that it will last forever.

If you have "enough" clothing, this duel purpose windbreaker, raincoat is perfect! keeps you warm and dry even when enjoying boating in cooler weather.

I'm very pleased so far with the fit and the finish. However, it's advertised as being able to be folded into a pocket but I haven't figured out how to do that (to be fair, I can't fold a fitted sheet either).

This is very light and very waterproof. Great quality it covers head but not face.

Fit is excellent. I wore it recently on a hike in windy cool conditions and it kept me comfortable with just a tee shirt underneath.

I live in Wilmington NC and wore it only once when it rained and can say it is extremely comfortable and waterproof, and really appreciate the velcro pocket closures and love the color gunmetal gray

Loved the blue color of this jacket. The material is soft, waterproof and lightweight. The fit is comfortable and I already enjoy wearing it in the summer rain.

Today is the first time I am wearing it. It is pouring here thanks to Ida. Rain is heavy. Jacket is great. Keeps me dry and is light weigh. Would definitely recommend. Only drawback is I take an XL and it is a little snug. Would have liked it to be a little looser.

I'm a professional who works outside often. This packable waterproof jacket is a great addition to my toolkit. I keep a small carabiner in the inner stow pocket, makes it easy to clip the pack to my belt when I'm inside and then unroll when it's back to the elements. Good quality, light.

very nice lightweight rain jacket in warm weather

Looking for a waterproof jacket. I live in Florida and don't need a heavy coat. This weigh and construction fits me perfectly.

I for years have worn the LLB foul weather sailing jacket--routinely, as I live in Florida in the Winter and we have quite a bit of rain. While the jacket was indeed waterproof, the material was somewhat stiff. I bought this as a substitute to try and it's an outstanding product. The material is soft and it is absolutely waterproof. If I had to make a suggestion, it would be that it could be 2" longer, though it's only an inch shorter the foul weather jackets I'm used to.

Lightweight and perfect for those rainy day tasks & outings. I picked the the "sky blue" color, and I love it! As for the fit, I'm usually an XL, this piece is slightly fitted underarm, so I returned my XL for a XXL and it's perfect! Use your judgement for size. I highly recommend this LL Bean product for men and women who like that rainy day walk on the beach, or that outdoor task. It will keep you dry and comfy warm on a cool day.
