I love the jacket but the multicolor version does run small. I had ordered a large and had to exchange it for an extra large.

very nice fleece. But lacks a lining in the sleeves to allow easier on/off. Right now, it tends to catch on your sleeve material provided you are wearing a long sleeve shirt. Would help make the on/off a lot easier as it currently drags on this area.
Other than that I like this fleece lot.

Great design and function. I like everything about it except the fit. It is a bit big all over for me (Men's M, 5'6", 145lbs). Sleeve length and body are fairly big for a slim person. I may have to return it due to sizing. Otherwise, this is a fantastic mid-weight fleece that really does block the wind.

Jacket is light, comfortable and will keep one warm in mildly cool days.

This jacket works well because there an elastic pull-string at the bottom. I wish the sleeves/ at the wrists, were slightly more fitted, as there too much gap.
LLBean misses the above most of the time and there stuff don't work and I have to return it...

I'm glad that LLBean is once again selling a windproof fleece jacket. As a sailor I find these ideal when I'm out on the water. I have two earlier versions which I had to retire as the zippers were not saltwater-friendly, i hope that this later version proves more resilient.

Size is a bit larger if you are slim person. The gray color didn't match what i saw on the web but the jacket is well made. Would be nice to see different color such as tan or light dreen.

I am very happy with this fleece jacket.I LOVE the checkerboard pattern on the outside of the jacket but I fear it will be a dust magnet,

Very good fleece for cool weather, drizzle, windy, etc. Used it on 50 degree with t-shirt & sweater underneath. I'm sure I can use in 45 with thicker sweater.

Comfortable and blocks wind. I would like an inside pocket though.

Bean really emphasizes quality in all of their products. I honestly can't remember ever experiencing disappointment in any item I've ever purchased from them. I hope they never allow themselves to deviate from this as it seems all stores eventually do. As for this particular jacket, I bought the gray, and my disappointment is in my color choice, not in anything else. My fault, not theirs. The gray color looks exactly as it does in the pictures, it's just not the most flattering color on me. Otherwise, fantastic, QUIET wind proof jacket.

Purchased this for my stepfather who recently started chemo. He needed something somewhat light but also warm. He said this jacket is perfect. Its well constructed and no doubt it will sustain the packing back & forth. He loves it.

The Mountain Classic Windproof Fleece was exactly what I was looking for. The jacket is medium weight so it has a lot of flexibility, either by itself or over a sweater. The windproof lining really works and doesn't make the jacket too stiff. The only challenge is the sizing, as it does run a bit big, maybe a half size, but that makes it easier to layer. The downside is that the cuffs are not banded, so they hang low (and I have long arms). All in all, I really like the jacket and if the sleeve cuffs were a bit tighter I'd go 7 stars out of 5!

This jacket is awesome. It is light enough to wear inside without overheating. BUT it is so good for cold winds outside. It keeps me warm as if its a down feather coat. It fits perfectly for me (59 woman). Its soft and cozy. I have two dogs, and it doesnt attract dog hair like some other reviews suggest. Its my favorite jacket. I got the cream white and blue version.

6 foot 2 and 220 lbs. The XL is a bit big and somewhat baggy.
Does block wind, but attracts dog hair like a magnet.
I would recommend this product. Great value for the money.

When people talk about this are being tight or small, they are talking about underneath the arms and behind the arms below the shoulders. For people who are thick in those areas, they not going to have as much mobility swinging their arms. The rest of this jacket is quite roomy without looking puffy.

Very enjoyable jacket and it controls the wind nicely. Sometimes a little tough getting a shirt sleeve down the jacket sleeve as it doesn't slide easily.

The sleeves should have a satin lining to make it easy to slide over arms wearing a flannel shirt.

The only con I have is the limited range of motion in the arms at the arm pits.
