The garment has lived up to, and exceeded, expectations. Warm, comfortable, and easy to put on. Appears well made. The raglan sleeves are a nice feature. Based on reviews, I sized up from a normal L to an XL. Fits a little loose, but I suspect I'd have plenty of room for underlayers, like another sweater. Good arm movement, and plenty of length to sleeves. Others might want this more fitted, however. The color, steel and green or something, is great, and the stitching in the front is very flattering. Wasn't cheap, but I would definitely buy again, and in fact did recommend this to my friend, and she bought one for herself, and is very pleased.

Light but very warm. Best versatile jacket in my closet. And it isn't bulky. Great for in and out of yhe car, trips to the gym, and packs well when I'm traveling.

Looked for months and decided on bean from pst experience this "warmer" down sweater is perfect warm, lightweight, comfortable, easy storage and good looks.. I was hesitant about the 230.00 cost but after receiving and wearing I'm sold the zip up neck is a tremendous help and a great feature

By far the best outerwear garment I own. I can't believe how lightweight and warm it is. A little pricey but I am very happy with it.

Functional and sufficiently warm for low key use. Good material and nice strong zippers. It conveniently stuffs into its own pocket like a stuff sack. I would not depend on it for colder, windy, or wet conditions or on trail, It would likely get soaked, trashed or just not be thick enough for cold temps for long periods of time. I still have a Bean down jacket from 20 years ago that has a lot more down, from experience, will sustain warmth longer in colder temps than this thin jacket. I liked this jacket enough to get my wife one too. Highly recommend it but be smart about how much to depend on it.

This was a Christmas gift for my dad and he absolutely loves the jacket. It is perfect for cold temps but not bulky or uncomfortable. If you are looking for a coat for someone who easily gets overheated or for driving in the car, this is a great choice. My teenage son also has this jacket and loves it because he can smoosh it down in his backpack when he gets to high school without carrying the weight of a big coat with him. He says it is plenty warm. If you know teens these days they don't like wearing coats and he loves the Ultralight 850! Enough said!

I got this for my husband and I am glad I picked this one. Cheaper versions looked loose in the back. He really likes it and uses it for work. I think it will last a long time.

We chose this jacket for my husband primarily because it is great for travel; it zips up into its own pocket. we pack this along with a water resistant shell to be ready for any weather. He really likes this jacket. It is so trim looking, fits over a sweatshirt, yet is very warm. The gray/green is a great color.

I was concerned this jacket would not be heavy enough for the winter months, the Ultralight is perfect and very warm, comfortable, and definitely lightweight. Great jacket!

Bought this as a gift for my husband. He loves that it's not bulky and is very warm. The sleeves are long enough so he can pull them over his hands for warmth as he doesn't like wearing gloves. Very happy with this puffy.

I bought this jacket for a trip to Alaska, it worked out great very packable and warm. It was warmer than expected in Alaska but it kept me warm and dry. Now presently in Ohio and it is cold here, but the jacket is perfroming well. Very happy with this purchase. A little pricy but the quality is right there. I would recommed this jacket if you are looking for a all around winter coat. Howard

This jacket keeps you super warm and super light in weight and its not bulky. Looks great with jean, casual and dress slacks too. I've recommended to several of my friends. This is my second one.

This thing is awesome. Lightweight and packs into a stowaway pocket to keep close at hand during the cool mornings. Highly recommend!

The men's ultralight 850 down sweater is a perfect jacket for everyday wear and is amazing for travel, being truly ultra-light and super-warm. The fit is bit on the athletic side. I'm usually in between a medium and large, depending on the fit of the coat. In this case, the large was the best fit. When I travel, it fits perfectly in my backpack. For its size and weight, it's amazingly warm and insulating. That 850 power down is incredible stuff. I highly recommend this product.

This is a very high quality jacket. Very lightweight, wind resistant, and the down is very warm. Paired with a Chamois Shirt-Jacket, I was plenty warm on windy mid-20's days.

My go-to standalone jacket or for use as a liner. My last one lasted for at least 8 or 9 years. A very good investment

The M Reg size that I originally ordered was too big. I sent it back - in exchange for an M Small. I just received the replacement - in the same size that I sent back. The invoice says "M S" but the item is an M Reg. This will mean - this time because LL Bean messed up - another trip to the UPS Store and, unless LL Bean covers the cost of shipment, yet another $6.50 fee.

I love this coat! It is extremely warm and lightweight and is very comfortable to wear.
