The Ultralight 850 down sweater is really light in weight but warm either alone or as a layer.

Great jacket, exactly what I was looking for. Great fit, warm, but breathable.

The jacket is amazing light yet warm. It packs easily in a small space, and it is perfect for cool mornings or evenings. With a sweater beneath, it functions well in the cold.

We started with the Men's Large hooded version in 2022. Lightweight warm but too narrow thru the shoulders. We bought the Mens' XL 850 ultralight down sweater jacket in both dark blue and green colors in 2024 for my husband. So lightweight and so warm! Bought XL men's to get the width thru the shoulders and the drawstring cinch as the waist made the XL size fit better and not sloppy thru the waist. The colors with contrasting color details are sharp. The only drawback is that dog paws can easily tear the material because it is so incredibly lightweight. (The hooded version does not have any cinching thru the hood so the hood on windy cold day is warm but frustrating because you have to hold the hood to secure it.). Love the warmth and the look of the jacket version with no hood. Solid purchase. Use discount codes and Bean Bucks to offset the price. It is well worth it.

Bought this for my brother as a gift. Extremely light weight and fits nicely under a coat to add extra layer of warmth.

I love this down sweater. I bought it in 2014 and later bought the heavier coat version too, for colder days. In 2024 the zipper broke while I was on a trip. Given the 10 years it was clearly out of warranty. Rather than dismiss my inquiry about whether they could do something for me, LL Bean encouraged me to send them the product to evaluate. I did and they said they could replace the zipper for me. They replaced the zipper with one that was even better than the original and sent the coat back to me with no charge. Now that is great customer service and really standing behind their product. That is why you buy from a quality company like LL Bean.

I bought this coat for my son who is particular about what he wears and he loved it!

This has been the perfect layer for snowmobiling this winter. The thinness of the jacket allows me to wear it under my snowmobile suit with no extra bulkiness, and it acts as a windproof layer which totally keeps me warm. I can stuff it in it's pouch and stow it if I am unsure if I need it or if it warms up, and it takes up almost no space.

Bought this as a packable jacket for my husband. He loves it!

I hate anything that's heavy and bulky. This jacket is neither of the two.

This jacket is well made and very warm. It is extremely lightweight so it wears easy in and out of a vehicle. I also appreciate the increased space in the breast pocket over previous models - allows plenty of space for the phone.

Nice looking jacket. It is very light and very warm.

I have only had my new jacket for a couple of weeks but have worn it almost every time I went outside. I live in VT where it can get very cold. I did wear it when the temperature was in the teens and it was very comfortable. I look forward to trying it when the temps are below zero. It fits well and I very much like the style and the "unique ribbing." The liner is also a smooth material which I like so much better than fleece which shirts and sweaters can cling to when putting it on. I also love the dark green color!

I initially recieved a 2X regular for a Christmas gift. (I am right between a 1X and 2X and sometimes I find that if one size doesn't fit me that the other size will. The fit turned out to be quite snug which I was OK with except for when I sat down. I called LLBean and spoke to a sales person and shared my experience with them. They suggested that I try the next size larger. I ordered a 3X Tall to see if that one gave me a little more room. I found that the jacket was too roomy through the shoulders. The length was fine, but overall, I was unhappy with the fit. I ended up sending both jackets back and was credited the amount for both. I only wear LLBean shirts, jeans, shoes, boots and jackets, that's all you will find in my closet. I'm from a small town in Maine about 40 miles from Freeport. I've worn LLBean products all my life (74 years)! I love the quality and style of products.

I could not be more pleased with the medium tall. I'm 5'11, 190 lbs, 21" torso. The quality, size and fit couldn't be better. Versatile jacket regardless of what's worn underneath be it a T-shirt, LS base layer or sweater. I have worn this jacket in +35F to -34F; one and all.Please keep making medium tall sizes!
