Blocks the wind very very well. Super lightweight but surprisingly it will keep you warm.

Unbelievable jacket on how light but warm this jacket is.

"Sweater" is a wonderful lightweight jacket. Comfortable, not bulky and definately wind proof.

The Large fits great. I love jackets and this is very close to being a jacket but so much lighter. Couple of major pluses are 1) The hood - cover my cap with ease but no flop and provides amazing warmth on the ears. The weight is shear joy. The large lets me load up a heavy fleece underneath. The thin and compactable shell also fits nicely under a soft shell for those extra cold 10 - 20 degree days. So far, a month in, its holding up well

I live in MN and have to travel for work to different parts of the country from time to time. I was looking for a warm but lightweight jacket that I could easily stow in my laptop backpack. This jacket checked all the boxes! It's perfect for this time of the year when it can get pretty cold outside, and you don't want a big, bulky jacket for running errands. I've been putting the jacket through the test of subzero weather and I'm happy to report that with a warm sweater or fleece underneath, I was comfortably warm. The hood was also a key feature for me. This lightweight jacket performs like a heavyweight champ! LL Bean is my new go to for quality products.

Jacket is light & warm. Perfect for all temps except extreme cold. 25 degrees or less. Then you would need to layer.

Love this jacket. Light weight but still high power down fill keeps me warm. Great fit, great color. Would love gloves to match the inner blue layer/trim.

Bought two of these jackets, one XL for my son and one small for my friend. Son is in Northwest , rainy weather, stays 100 percent warm and dry. Friend is in Nebraska freezing weather, stays warm and dry. Great coats!! Would recommend to everyone!!

A little pricey but everything is right with the jacket.

We love the jacket that I bought for my husband.. I usually buy him a LTall, but on this jacket I bought one size larger so it would slip on and off easier and also so the sleeves would be longer. He wears a 36" long sleeve normally, the XL Tall I ordered is perfect! He loves the jacket! Thank you for delivering it exactly on the day promised. I order all of his clothes from LLBEAN because of the good quality and I can get Tall sizes.

The fact that this Jacket is longer works well in the colder winter months. Good and worthwhile purchase.

Second jacket on return which was fantastic service Jacket is super light and packable great in cold for active users.

Very light with a tough zipper where it counts. This replaces the 2017 model whose zipper was also ultralight, which could come undone from the bottom up. It was embarrassing to have my belly be uncovered. This zipper is a lot heavier-duty yet also weighs little.

I can't believe how light and warm this 850 Down Sweater is! I think it's going to be perfect for fall, winter and spring! Well perhaps not the coldest days of winter here in the Northeast, haha. The fit is great, and with the quality of the construction and materials, I know that I'll wear this coat of then. Thank You LL Bean!

This is my second purchase of a down sweater- I wore the other one completely out. It went by air to Ireland, Iceland, Netherlands, Mexico twice and Panama twice. Served as pillow, jacket, blanket, . It has been biking, hiking, shopping, dogwalking 3 times a day in season. Not much it hasn't done. So I bought a new one when I realized that one more cleaning would do in the old one.

Nice warm comfortable jacket. Large pockets and easy to zip zipper. The jacket is lightweight but nice and warm.
