Hood covers your eyes while trying to walk, have to hold it with one hand..WAY Too expensive for its value.

I bought several of these jackets large enough to fit over medium weight jackets. In less than an hour of steady rain the layer below the jacket is damp. If you wear them without an underlying layer you are damp and cold. I pretty much use them as windbreakers. They do that ok. They are not cut out for heavy farming.

I have tried 2 of these rain jackets and both have the same "zipper snags" issue. Just like others have said, it snags about 3-4" from the bottom.
Photos show snag point and where the inside left mesh pocket is sewn in too close to zipper. After it passes the mesh (if you can carefully get it there) it's fine, until you try to unzip it.
I'm now sending replacement back as well and have purchased a rain jacket from another manufacturer at a retail store that also sells LL Bean products. I had to have a waterproof shell, and one in which the zipper did not snag.
I did not have 1 jacket out in anything more than light rain, so I cannot comment on waterproof-ness or lack thereof.

The arm pit area is TOO tight and does not allow for arm mobility, and needs to have a larger area where the arm connects to the body of the garment.

Very short length. Have ordered at least twice in past and it was much longer. Compared it to previous one and 4" shorter! And more expensive. Not enough coverage for a rain jacket. Would not recommend. Not up to LLBean quality expected.

Just wore this in a light rain for the first time and was completely soaked after 20 minutes. It may repel water for a few minutes, but definitely not waterproof. The only product I ever bought from LL Bean that I regretted.

The people at the Mashpee store were very helpful but did not have the rain jacket in stock. They saw that there were some in inventory in the warehouse so I ordered one. From there down hill! About a week after I ordered I received a credit check with no notice or explanation. I went back to the store and it turns out there were none in the warehouse. The person apologized for me not receiving any notice but I would not receive the product. So I can't rate the rain jacket because I did not receive it.
Rate store service +5. Rate fulfillment service 1.

It must have been marked wrong as it was even a 2X let alone the 3X it was supposed to be.
Also, the weather proofing was a very chintzy looking plastic. Can you say SWEAT FACTORY!

When its not raining you will sweat and condense, when it is raining you will get soaked (I'm drenched right now after my walk). Purchased in 2021. Unless you wear a polypro layer underneath prepare to be very uncomfortable. It's a sweaty windbreaker or a soggy rain coat. Pass on this item unless just throwing in your car for quick runs to the store or a quick walk on vacation. If you try to trust this for hiking you will be sad and wet and chilled as I am right now (back indoors now). I love LLBean but this jacket is a bust; looks good but non-functional. I hope I can still return it as defective.

DISGUSTING! POOR QUALITY! SENT IT BACK! I was a strongly committed lifetime supporter of LL Bean products, once known for remarkable and superior quality.. Over 55 years ago I visited the old warehouse in Maine as part of our summer visit there. I remember the creaky wooden floors, the camping gear and outdoor stuff. Sadly, when this rain coat came in the mail and I touched the "fabric" I was horrified by the cheap, plastic feel of the cheesy construction material. Up until recently, LL Bean meant paying just a little bit more, but it was always well worth it. There is nothing worth it about this "generic" run of the mill garment. It could have easily come from any number of the many much cheaper, less prestigious companies. The good old LL Bean exceptional quality is long gone from the LL Bean of now, and it is just a lot of nothing.

Jacket will soak through, not waterproof. I am astounded that this jacket is marketed as a rain jacket. It is manufactured inside out instead of the outer jacket layer, being waterproof, the outer layer soaks right through. And the liner is supposed to be waterproof. Yes your clothes stay partially dry, but you have a soaked jacket. The construction is ridiculous.

Don't waste your money. This jacket doesn't keep you dry. I don't get it... it's a rain jacket.

How can you describe this as waterproof? The jacket soaks right through and does NOT repel water. It gets heavy in short order. The lining is water resistant for a short time and then that soaks through. Not serious rain gear. All day hike no way, maybe a trip to the mailbox. "Redesigned?" Comeon. very disappointed in L.L. Bean.

Bought the XXXL thinking it would have some room for a fleece or sweater but it's smaller then my XXL. Why so many issues on sizing. I am ready to give up, I have spent a fortune sending thinks back from Canada. I end up ordering 2 size cause I never know what I am going to get. I have 44w pants that are loose and 46w Pants that are too tight, same with 1/4 zips and vests. All I want is good quality and accurate sizes. I don't shop in stores or price and have bought from LL Bean for 20+ years , but know ready to give up on you guys Very disappointed.

The zipper on the jacket is so poorly designed that I finally decided to stop wearing it. The zipper frequently gets jammed on the jacket edge, and sometimes just unzips from the bottom. This makes the jacket unusable. Also, the white inner coating of the jacket is flaking off. While almost all LL Bean products are long-lasting and high-quality, this product is very disappointing. I have decided to purchase the equivalent jacket from another company.

I wore this jacket once during a 20-minute walk in a light mist/drizzle, and the sweatshirt I was wearing underneath it was damp; unacceptable for a $100 jacket marketed as "waterproof." I returned it the next day. Very disappointing.

Bought this jacket to replace a jacket I bought from LL Bean. Very disappointed with the quality compared to what I had. LL Bean recommended this jacket as a replacement. I'll think twice before buying from them again.

Purchased this jacket as a lightweight WATERPROOF option during warmer weather. I was recently out in a heavy rain storm and it soaked thru both sleeves. Very disappointed!
