A good raincoat for those days that you want to keep dry.

Very good lightweight rain jacket. It is a little too small around the lower edge. A double-pull zipper would make it more comfortable when, for example, getting into a car.

My one complaint is that the fabric of the jacket is somewhat rubbery. That is, it feels more as though it was made of a rubber substance than a cloth. Otherwise, fine.

Fits well. Lighter than expected, but have not tested it in the cold yet.

just received my rain jacket in xl large. It's light weight and will work okay but the sizing is off from other LL Bean jackets and clothing I have purchased. The arms are shorter and smaller than I had figured on. My ll bear shirt size will normally run large on a traditional fit so I ordered the XL. Body seems okay, sleeves not so much. The sleeves would be a tight fit if wearing a heavier shirt (flannel, sweatshirt or sweater). Sending back to exchange for xl tall.

This jacket works well except for one minor point. If only Toney had made the zipper the next larger size. I find I have to fiddle with it a lot to get it lined up and started. Otherwise, it breathes well but remains waterproof and can easily be layered if extra warmth is needed.

Great jacket. Hard to see out of when hood is on and you're walking.

Happy with purchase. One star off due to zipper quality.

This is a great jacket! I bought one specifically for a trip to Disney World. It rolled up and fit in the Stowaway Plus Pack, a great park bag by the way, and had tons of room to spare. The jacket kept me dry when I needed it BUT . . .
I wish there were zippers/venting in the under arm (arm pit) areas. I'm a bigger guy buying mostly 3XL and 3XL Tall clothing. This big guy gets hot and sweats very easily and some air cooling would go a long way for me. PIT ZIPS PLEASE

Does what it should for a compact, easy to add to your carry-on, garment. Zero insulation, so consider what layers you might need if packing for a colder climate. Pockets are a nice feature; most useful!

Seems pretty good so far I have not really put it to the test yet. Wish it was taller though

My only problem with this jacket is the hood which hangs into my view. I have tried to adjust the cord for the hood to tighten it up but it hasn't seemed to fix the problem,

My husband really likes this rain jacket--all of it fits well for the XL (although the hood is a bit big), the navy color is perfect, and he is looking forward to wearing it. The only off putting thing is the "packing it away" in the lower left-hand pocket. Not easy to figure out at first, then once we did, I managed to stuff it in there, and it did fit, finally! Only problem is then the jacket gets pretty wrinkled. Not a huge deal. I would have given this a 5 rating, but had to settle for a 4 due to how tricky it is to pack away.

Slightly narrow in chest and shoulder, needs a bit more room for movement or fitting over a sweatshirt. The next size up was too big.

The jacket is very well made, but the hood covers too much of the head.

I don't usually use the hood but nice to have if needed. Still figuring out how to tighten it in the wind. It seemed to stay on any way, but the wind eased a bit so not really tested.
I had a small umbrella that day too. One sleeve got wet in a quick burst of rain. It seemed very wet, ie it did not bead off. So that is one negative but should be ok for around town jack. (The outside of the jack is not the real waterproof part, but the jacket won't breathe if it is wet so might have more sweat, and it will still feel cool even if layers under the jacket are dry)
I got bright green , decided dark days I might still need to be seen even if this is just for town.

Saw this jacket in the store, tried it on and I loved it. Lots of good features. Whey I got home, I realized I had 3 other similar jackets, so I returned it.

Waterproof jacket and serves its purpose, however it is not breathable at all and so I immediately heat up when I wear it. Just seems like rain jackets I have had in the past somehow let the heat dissipate without letting the rain in.

This an excellent jacket. Have not worn it in a driving rain storm but it has proved to be water repellant in rain. Rating of 4 stars is because of the relatively short time I have had the jacket. Also, would like a more substantial zipper.

Has a substantial feel. Well fitted. Adequate pockets. Remains to be seen how well and for how long it sheds rain. Most "raincoats" lose their waterproofness in a few years, from my experience.

Good Product - as advertised - The deep zippered pockets are useful and convenient.
The velcroed seal over the front zipper keeps the elements out.
The hood protects well also

Nice, basic raincoat. It's unlined so if you want something warm, look elsewhere. As a 3 season, layering peice, it's perfect. It's slim enough to not look like a tent but not too much that I can't wear a shirt and sweater underneath. I am 5'7" about 160 and the small fits great.

Haven't had many chances to wear it but it seems to have that LL Bean quality that I've always sought. Sleeves are a little bit too long for my arms though. They don't stock this in the retail store in Hanover, MA so I didn't get a chance to try it on before ordering by mail. I wish I could have tried the size on before purchase. It would be nice if they had a representative size in stock for fitting purposes before ordering by mail.

Though a medium, a bit snug for me. Yet a medium jacket I bought last year was a bit large. Zipper works better than last jacket, too. Pockets are only OK (size, position). You can get a better rain jacket somewhere else for half the price.
