I bought this last year and have had few occasions to wear it. I wore it the first time and each time there after it leaked after minimal drizzle. I walk a dog and today in the last 10 minutes of the walk. It rained a bit in my arms, back and head got wet within less than 10 minutes. It is lightweight and not hot in rain in summer, but it is useless to repel rain. Or really even sprinkles.

This is the size I have used for years, and it was too small in every way. I should add that my own dimensions haven't changed.

Way oversized! A medium fits like a huge trashbag!

I should have read more closely the description that this protects against *light* rain. I've worn this jacket for two years and was pleased with it -- until I unexpectedly got drenched on a walk and discovered that this jacket is worthless at keeping out moderate or heavy rain. Which makes it worthless, since you can't always be assured of what the weather will do. But it does look nice. I'm a fan of Bean products, and will continue to be a loyal customer, but this was a disappointment.

Could be cool if it was made in the correct dimensions. Tall XXL, I'm only 180 lbs, so I didn't expect it to fit me correctly in that manner, however it is excessive, balloon like in chest. At 6'3" is extremely short in length, cuff ride way up when I raise my hands, and length of jacket hardly covers back pockets. Should be 52-54 inch cheat but measures 56" (jacket folded in half so 28 x 2 = 56") Should be 37-38 inch sleeve but measures 35" Photos as evidence

The Anorak really looks very nice. Pleasing colors and good design. It is, however, made of extremely light weight material, what in the 1950s would be termed, chintzy. The material is so thin it is only mildly a "wind breaker", and in no way can be hoped to shed even the least bit of moisture. I have been an avid customer of L.L.Bean for over half a century and never been so underwhelmed by a purchase from this great old company.

It is NOT true to size. At least mine wasnt. Got a medium and it was a definitely a large but the tag said medium

The sizing and quality of this product are severely lacking.

Not happy with this product. The material is very thin-similar to a windbreaker material. The medium fit was waaaaay too large. Wish there was an option for the small tall. If you live in a colder climate, be sure to spring for the insulated version.

The half zipper design is not really usable for older guys. I sent it back to seek a replacement coat that has the full zipper. I do like the colors but not the half zipper design.

I bought this for my son to use on a trip, and I used the online chat feature specifically to ask about the chest measurements to figure out which size to get so he could layer it over a fleece. The customer service rep insisted that the medium would be plenty big based on his size and layering needs, which we talked about in detail. It wasn't! Not even close. With a fleece underneath, the size medium anorak was super restricting, even on a really lean body. It was also quite short, especially in the back for some reason, so I guess a medium height person should buy a Tall. We didn't have time to exchange it before the trip, unfortunately, but it will be returned. This is otherwise a really nice item, but LL Bean needs to seriously adjust the sizing description of it.
